Oh yeah, the Dragon Egg might be bugged to y=32767 according to the bug report, *MCPE-157125.* Silentwisperer covered this bug where he showcased a Shulker floating at this altitude. I had the misfortune of losing my Mule to this bug. I didn't see the fall, but a few minutes later I saw the saddle & leather around spawn. I'm not sure how falling block entities would behave when they go through the End Fountain. Either wait for several minutes to see if the egg would fall, or make a backup world, then go spectator to see if the egg is stuck at y=32767.

when you clicked the dragon egg, it moved away, and an enderman could have picked it up. i don't think they could despawn with it though, it might still be there.
