This is one of your more delusional episodes, I love it. I liked how Cameron said that he was trying to think of the other guest in the audience but then preceded to make his set list 90% deep cuts. Also, not Lisa already assigning roles to Jack and Aaron, lol.
We really dreamed big in this one😂 Not sure how any of the guests or performers would feel, but we had a great time coming up with our setlists! Thank you for watching🫶
My personal setlist would be in no particular order: 1. Back to december/you're not sorry on piano (speak now) 2. Eyes open 3. Dear Reader 4. Otherside of the door (on guitar) 5. (my suprise song) exile X haunted on piano 6. Dancing with our hands tied (but i want full production. 7. Anti-hero accoustic. 8. Daylight 9. Better man (bluebird cafe) 10. IKYWT (1989 rock version) 11. Me! (From the billboard music awards. 12. Getaway car/out of the woods mash up with jack. 13. Change ❤
We love the very specific vision you have and the versions you want! As well as all the love shown to some songs that aren't usually as appreciated, thank you for sharing your list 🫶
Alright, let me try this again (tried to leave a comment yesterday, but it fell into the TH-cam void 😂). First, I'll share the playlist I made in a similar concept (I called it 10 Million Dollar Taylist): 1. Mastermind 2. the lakes 3. Call It What You Want 4. Timeless 5. The Albatross 6. Safe & Sound 7. You're Losing Me [intermission because this is all live and Tay & crew gotta eat and hydrate and toilet] 8. Long Live 9. Superstar 10. peace 11. Hits Different 12. it's time to go 13. Beautiful Ghosts I kind of followed some of both of your senses of logic. Some of them are a bit rogue, a lot are just my personal ride-or-die songs. But all of them are sequenced in a way that I did think about in terms of pacing, mood, song themes, etc. In my original novella comment I explained a lot more of my decisions, but I think there's only a few I feel the need to re-explain. I feel "it's time to go" gets overlooked a bit especially sitting next to "right where you left me" on evermore, but I remember how I felt when I first heard "it's time to go," and I was immediately drawn in both because of how much it pleases my ears and how much I connect with the lyrics. "Beautiful Ghosts"... I need to explain. I love an epic musical closer. I love musicals in general, but "Beautiful Ghosts" gets overlooked because of the movie it's attached to. If I didn't want "Beautiful Ghosts" at the end, it would be sort of a personal track 5 moment for me because of how much I've felt that song in the past. When it first came out, it was one of those moments where it felt like Taylor wrote it FOR me. 😂 but also 💜 "Timeless" I associate with my best friend and her husband. "Safe & Sound" I associate with me and my little sister. "Superstar" I associate with playing The Sims 4 as my Sim Self because in that game my wife is Connie Britton, and "Superstar" is my song for my in-game wife. 😂 "the lakes" has always made my little English major soul happy. My best friend and her daughters went to the Chicago Eras tour where "the lakes" was one of the acoustics, and she sent me video of that. So I have seen a bit of "the lakes" live. I need it. I think that's about it.
Firstly, we’d like to both thank you for taking the time to rewrite your comment all over again! We honestly are so grateful for it and love reading in depth, thoughtful breakdowns such as this one! Secondly, what an incredible lineup of songs! From the naming of the playlist to the intricate reasonings behind each choice, we loved it! It bridges the gap between fan favourites and personal deep cuts very well and even allows for Taylor to debut Beautiful Ghosts! A song that is overlooked many times but really haunting, we cannot wait for the day she finally plays it🤞 Once again, THANK YOU for this and all your comments, as a small podcast we genuinely appreciate every single interaction and feel very lucky to have listeners who feel so passionately about the topics we discuss and are willing to get involved🫶
