Yay! Got a Jackory thank to Emily's advace saying we are not to llx to go vaning so bought an empty van designed it and it will be ready to go in 2 weeks. Thanks guys your right why sit at home waiting for GOD 💞
With everything going on in the world ... thank you, thank you, thank you from a Canadian who is totally enjoying your content. Love seeing two ladies who care deeply for each other and know how to laugh
I love watching these two live their lives… literally just living your lives and sharing… thank you! I’m 59 and probably won’t ever visit anywhere since I hate the sitting still of flying…but I love seeing different parts of the world. You guys even make waiting in a ferry line fun to watch. You don’t complain and I love that!
Quality versus quantity! Perfect mantra. The two of you are so much fun. “I just have a healthy relationship with food.” I love this statement. As someone who does not have a healthy relationship with food, I love your joy around and about food, Emily. Such a healthy mentality! This old lady is learning so much from you two young, strong, lovely and kind women. Great video. Norway is stunning.
The green snotty 'moss' is a lichen - a very prehistoric cross between plants and fungi, it grows thickest where the air is cleanest -it takes hundreds of years to grow any substantial amount- you also find out on very old grave stones, church walls and sometimes trees. The higher the number of different lichen species in an area, the less polluted it is
Completely hear you Emily about nervous passengers - my other half, Charlie is exactly the same. He jumps/ shouts for no reason and I almost jump out my skin! Not helpful 😆
Rippa low flying drone intro! Rippa mooses. Excellent country, although Africa would be a bit warmer.🤞Moose, nice. You probably know already that 05/08/22, 5k people watched this vlog. ✋✋ [Hi 5]. Thanks m8s Peak District vlog next, wild camping.
I learnt on my travels, 'Enjoy where you are, not where you're going' I met so many travellers who weren't 'Here', they were always on their way to somewhere else. Some people travel just to tick off the places they've been, been there done that.
Next time you do a jacket potato bung a couple extra in, then let go cold and put in fridge, next day or two take out and cut into wedges, then coat in a little olive oil and in oven till nice and hot and crispy, best potato wedges ever! ;)
I live close to Trondheim, her it has rained all the summer with low temperatures.... We went on a holidaytrip to Sweden, Mora. It was not the best temp, there either. But we enjoyed it. Welcome back to Norway, and dthen rive the coastroad from Trondheim (take the Fosen-ferry) and drive up to Bodø...So beautiful scenery
Love your vlogs! When you were freezing in southern Norway we had three weeks of summer with 28 degrees Celcius in Northern Norway! So you can find summer in the land of the midnight sun! 🥰
Being a Norwegian and been to many of the places you visit, I have to say that you are two true ambassadors for Norway. The way you put together your clips are really really great!!! It is also nice to see how enthusiastic you are about Norway :-) And yes, it is freakin expensive here....
When you are going to northern Norway, 1 houre before you take the ferry from Bodø to Lofoten, you should check out "Rago National park". You will not regret it!
Always a pleasure to watch your videos & embrace both your fab energies. Another great one & triggering of memories for us with the bushcraft shelter of which we used to do heaps of & sleep out in the woods with our Takoda who we've mentioned before. We especially love the hammock sleep out together. He was awesome & the best cat dog ever! "The Destination is the Journey!" Citronella essential oil & some others will keep those mosies of ya! xx
one tip regarding the musquitos here in norway. next year while going further north too. i higly recommend you to get musquito spray with 50% deet (or more) in it. after i got that here in norway in the farmacy i havent been bitten once, and im a musquito magnet as well!
Totally agree, don't rush , take time to 'feel' Norway, the air the mountains, the waterfalls etc etc not just see it and tick it off as ' Norway done' !! Great videos, I'm planning for next year to visit my nephew who lives in Oslo, so your trip is ideal for info and inspiration!! Cracking
You've got your priorities in perfect order, and we love it! Even slower would be fine; I agree that staying a week at each spot is really the pace to optimally experience a place, and you've got all the other time and care needs on top of that (pets, filming, work, etc). I smile through every video, and love the feeling of soaring through the gorgeous countryside with your keen eyed drone. Brava!
Your priorities are perfect! When you come to the north next year, you will have more time to enjoy the nature. If you go to the Vesterålen Islands, I will give you several hiking tips were you can go. I can even tell you about places where people see moose daily right by the road, so you can take pictures of them up close 😅
I think you've made the right choice; it seems to me that Van Life is more about the journey than the destination, and you seem to be finding much to do even away from the major tourist areas. So keep yourselves (and AJ and Summer) happy with shorter drives; we'll all be happy with the snack cupboard banter, awesome scenery (and watching Lou walking Summer! 😁)
Never trust the weather forecast in Norway. Specially not when they predict rain. Yesterday they said it would rain the whole week, today it rained a lot, and now it wont rain much rest of the week.
So sorry you had lots of rain. We counted our rainy days from South of England to Tromso and back and had just 6 days of rain. We were so lucky. Kjerag Sunny Preikistolen Sunny Trolltunga Sunny Lofoten Sunny Senja Sunny but one wet day. Really feel for you. So beautiful
Stunning drone footage, brilliant! I think you strike a great balance between touring and your relationship, it is wonderful that you allow us into your lives and share with us your everyday activities, both of you make the joys and struggles very engaging. Pretty unique❤️
I grew up living in the country and I’m suggesting you might look for farmer owned spaces for wildlife photography. You can even offer your photography… in trade since my parents paid for an aerial shot of their entire farm. A snow covered day would have made the best photo.
Nice work! I love your mentality, quality over quantity. Take stops, enjoi, and go in deapth when you document. The hiking and exploring are realy entertaining. If you are coming back to see midle orth norway try june or late august. Less tourists, and more hospitality. Big fan!!
Your philosophy of travel is spot on. I’ve driven across the United States so often while longing to get off of the interstate and explore, but I’ve always had a schedule to keep. In retirement, I’m planning on the slow and easy yet interesting travel plan. I hope you have a good mosquito repellent on board. Loved the church, bakery, Emily’s cooking and work concentration (two very different modes) and Louise’s excellent editing and narration. It rained here in New Mexico last night-we live and need our rain-so the dogs tracked in mud, but it is easy to deal with. See you next time.
Love seeing AJ (what does AJ does stand for?) and Summer out exploring. I see you have your very own mountain cat! Another great video. Takes me away from the daily humdrum for a brief time
Another fascinating 30 min of adventure, comedy, nature, drama and food dance. Why going fast when you can go slow, "al suave" I might say, enjoy, breathe, eat and dream with eyes wide open. ¡Pura Vida!
I have thoroughly enjoyed this travel series. The scenery has been stunning and I can see why you'd want to come back. You never need to explain your travel plans to anyone, especially your viewers. Not everyone travels the same way or with animals, or still being an employee. Plus, now you've got more to look forward to on your next visit, which means so have we :)
I'm not Ava, I just messed up - she's me daughter - I'm her Dad, jason. I look out for your vlogs daily. I suffer with depression and you two put a huge smile on my face - always, please don't ever stop. Be safe and have fun xx
The scenery and your photography are stunning, really enjoying this trip, can't wait until next vlog! Totally agree with the quality over the quantity!!!
You've now tasted a bit a of Norway and experienced what it got to offer. So here's a little advice from a native. Don't come here in the summer. Norway ain't a summer country. But if you want some stellar nature and kick ass colour, come to the south (south of Trondheim) in the fall. If you wanna do northern Norway, you must make that a whole trip of it's own. The distance there looks short on the map, but is long in real life. Also, Hardanger is stellar in the spring as the orchards get in bloom. 😀
Once again.. you’ve done it ladies! Fantastic drone footage, scenery, fun facts and good all round fun from you both. It was lovely seeing AJ and Summer getting out and about. Have loved every bit of Norway we’ve seen. Keep up the great work ladies and stay safe xx
We are new to your channel and what a joy it is. Love the way you bounce off each other. Uplifting. Particularly enjoying the Norway footage. I spent 5 weeks there in 1978, partly touring in an old Van with family, and part a musical exchange living with a local family. Keep up the great work!
With your hearts set on going all the way up north in Norway, I was thinking you were going to make this trip all Norway. Then, do another trip all Sweden.
When I lived in Finland my ex wife's father lived in a town called Lohja and there was a moose that would walk down the driveway and through the garden twice a day and would often stop and stick it's head through the kitchen window to say hello
Great job capturing the beauty of Norway ❤️ I live in Alta (in the northern part) and I really hope you get to see how gorgeous the northern part of Norway is. Recommend you guys coming here in august/september, when there's fall colors everywhere 😍 Don't come in april/may, we still have winter, and the snow starts to smelt aeound that time.
Love these vlogs. Varied, beautiful filming. So nice also not too many ads! Good promotions too! You have both build a great channel which gets better and better!
Definitely doing the right thing to go slow and enjoy where you are. I loved the jacket potato dance 🤣 and the comments about opting out of being a grown up. I am about to do the same! X
Thanks Ladies - once again a great vlog! We are continuing to love your honest & lovely posts - as Australian’s in Denmark - most people we are meeting are heading to Norway so we appreciate it is busy there!
In Norway there's something called "fellesferie" which losely can be translated into "common-holiday", it starts the second week of July and that's when the majority of working norwegians have a 3 week summer holiday. Generally the best time to avoid travels if you prefer solitude, as the routes along main roads will be crowded with not only foreign tourists, but also norwegian tourists. Schools end around 20th of June, so anywhere between mid may to end of june will be a good time for travels. Just keep in mind there may be snow on the highest mountain passes until end of May. Quality over quantity! You nailed it.
Brilliant vlog, I laughed so loudly after Lou said she had 10 mosquito bites and Emily said that's 4, I made my poor dog jump! 🤣 And I apologise for how much I laughed at poor Lou batting off mosquitos, so comical. I hope it's not the same in Sweden. I totally agree about taking your time. I live next to the Peak District and I am always finding new places to see. Thank you for your work and fun!
Fantastic video again you two. Again you have showed us all some fantastic places, it looked so beautiful and calming, just what you want to watch on a Sunday afternoon. Loved to see the snow, when it is so hot here in England felt lovely. Also Emily so glad you got your cakes, the important thing to eat. Enjoy yourselves and looking forward to seeing you soon, take care.
I'm glad you ladies have worked out that it's not about travelling the world, it's about experiencing and enjoying it. I'm sorry you had little luck with the moose hunt, but happy you finally got to see them. When you get home you can see wild beaver now in Dorset and apparently wild camels can easily be seen in Billericay. (Well at least the toes!) Looking forward to next week.
Stunning photography 👏👏👏 Yes, cake stops are important!!! The reason why you are not heading north makes perfect sense 👍 Have really enjoyed your Norwegian videos. ☺️
Amazing blog as always both. Seriously amazed by your editing skills Louise. We loved every second of your journey. Have to say I was in stitches of laughter when you said “have to listen quicker”. Thank you both and we look forward to the next chapter ❤️xx
Last summer (2022) was unusually rainy in big parts of Norway, the pouring down was endless.... Thankfully the summer season is normally much more varied, in between you even get summers with mainly sunny weather (they do exist!). Welcome back next time!
Another great video. If it's any consolation, your Norway adventures have reminded me so much of Scotland. I reckon you're going to love it there if you visit while you are planning your next foreign trip. Well the water falls and tunnels aren't as big, but really similar scenery!!
That drone footage was immense 😃 id stay in the region longer too. Do what makes you happy and we’ll enjoy your antics where ever you go. (Hopefully away from the mosquitoes 🦟)
I was unsure about the algorithm throwing up your content at first. I’m a bit leery of cookie cutter TH-cam thumbnails - I’ve watched Lou’s heartfelt comments on being fed up with manufactured drama and - I couldn’t agree more! The more content I’ve watched the more I’ve come to love your production values genuine warmth and honesty. Love the stuff you do and will watch more. BTW more Carry On type humour is much appreciated. 😁
You are absolutely spot on about enjoying and experiencing the areas that you are in. It really annoys me when people talk about 'doing' the NC500 or any other route as it's just a tick-list for them and they don't really experience any of the areas that they are driving through. Done that. Tick it off. Next....
For mozzie bites use the back of a hot spoon on the bite to neutrilze the horrible stuff they inject in to you. Dip in the kettle to heat spoon but don't burn yourself .Great channel best wishes Bev x
Wonderful, yet again! Can’t lose watching you two (four!) really enjoying everything, just glad you share it all with us and so brilliantly 😊 🔥 “swinging barbecues?” 🙈😂
Beautiful !! I get to see place from you van lifers. That this old grandma would never get to see. You two ladies are so cute together. You crack me up
Just discovered your channel. Blown away…truly love your storytelling, cinematography, editing…everything. What a treat. Get me to Norway now! Meanwhile I have your entire back catalogue of videos to look forward to! ❤️🚐🎥🏔
Ayy up you 2 and pets, from what we have been shown by my 2 favourite travel vloggers ,just amazing I can see why you keep stopping.the drone footage is really cool.Emily I hope you haven’t eaten all the snack cupboard the jacket potato dance is real good have you been practicing???And you still owe all your ordinance and Lou a tenner.
I have a question for Miss Emily! At 26:50 in the video did you say “I smell”? Lol!! I swear I heard you say I smell! Was that a secret little cry for help! 😂🙊🤫😷Oh yeah sending loads of love and laughter from the Pacific Northwest 🌲🇺🇸🐻
A sensible decision to not rush up around North Norway as you would spoil it. Taking your time to enjoy as much as possible and heading into Sweden sounds like a good plan. Great content as always and looking forward to seeing the next video. All the best.
Haven't you heard of Insect Repellant? You wouldn't survive in a tropical country without "Aerogard". One spray and flies and mozzies disappear. Again some awesome scenery and amazing places. So much green! I hope you all enjoy the rest of the trip home. Thanks again for sharing and glad you missed the 40 degrees in England.
Yes! I loooove the weird neon green lichen that grows on rocks on the higher elevations in Norway. Another hike that has quite bit of that look is the "Maria med barnet" hike near Eggedal. The 'otherworldliness' of the mountaintop ecosystems is what made me decide to move to Norway
I subscribed to your channel a few weeks ago and am thoroughly enjoying watching your adventures! Thank you for sharing Norway with us, What an absolutely stunning country! AJ and Summer are so well behaved and obviously love to travel just as you both do! Great videos, great drone filming and great banter! Cheers Ladies!
You were very close to me… but yeah, Trondheim is having its wettest summer in long time… if you really come back, the next time just drive to Bergen and once there put the van in the hurtigruta ferry and it takes you to Kirkenes, very close to the border with Russia and it takes six days with stunning views from the sea. You don’t have to go all the way up there. You can step out in Bodø and drive straight into the Lofoten islands. Then you drive your way back down with the van… the trip is totally worth the cost of the six days or three days tour on the hurtigruta. But I’d recommend start in early June… Have fun in Sweden, it can be a quite boring, but faster driving, but the lakes are plenty…
I agree with your travel philosophy. So many people just zoom about and tick places off without really knowing anything about them or experiencing them properly 👍
I am loving the scenery you are finding but getting to the north is not important, just keep making the stunning drone vistas. And the scenery is beautiful. A return visit is essential.

Awesomeness, they do vegan ones, woohoo!
With everything going on in the world ... thank you, thank you, thank you from a Canadian who is totally enjoying your content. Love seeing two ladies who care deeply for each other and know how to laugh
Aw our pleasure Deb
What a down to earth series beautiful scenery and the Girls come over well 100%
From a fellow Canadian I couldn’t agree with you more !!!!
Me too Deb. Ancient white Brit man here. Love people living the lives they want to live. Being true to themselves 🙌
I love watching these two live their lives… literally just living your lives and sharing… thank you! I’m 59 and probably won’t ever visit anywhere since I hate the sitting still of flying…but I love seeing different parts of the world. You guys even make waiting in a ferry line fun to watch.
Aw that’s really nice 🙂🙂
The green snotty 'moss' is a lichen - a very prehistoric cross between plants and fungi, it grows thickest where the air is cleanest -it takes hundreds of years to grow any substantial amount- you also find out on very old grave stones, church walls and sometimes trees.
(Well at least the toes!)
Looking forward to next week.
😆😆😆
Stunning photography 👏👏👏
Yes, cake stops are important!!!
The reason why you are not heading north makes perfect sense 👍
Have really enjoyed your Norwegian videos. ☺️
Amazing blog as always both. Seriously amazed by your editing skills Louise. We loved every second of your journey. Have to say I was in stitches of laughter when you said “have to listen quicker”. Thank you both and we look forward to the next chapter ❤️xx
I thought Norway would be lovely, but just wow, your footage is amazing, pleased you got to see the moose
Aw that is lovely thanks Ben
Brilliant especially the drone footage. Emily please remember Ladies do not sweat! They glow!XX🥴🥴
😂 I’ll remember for next time
You are absolutely spot on about enjoying and experiencing the areas that you are in. It really annoys me when people talk about 'doing' the NC500 or any other route as it's just a tick-list for them and they don't really experience any of the areas that they are driving through. Done that. Tick it off. Next....
Yeah it’s like what’s the point
For mozzie bites use the back of a hot spoon on the bite to neutrilze the horrible stuff they inject in to you. Dip in the kettle to heat spoon but don't burn yourself .Great channel best wishes Bev x
Hmmm not tried that
Moose are mostly found below the tree line.
💖 Wow! Thanks for sharing your adventures!😃
Wonderful, yet again! Can’t lose watching you two (four!) really enjoying everything, just glad you share it all with us and so brilliantly 😊
🔥 “swinging barbecues?” 🙈😂
😀😀😀
Avon Skin so Soft is a good mossy repellant - give that a try if you can get hold of it.
We brought that with us 🙌 she just forgot to put it on 🤦🏻♀️
Plenty of mousse in the snack cupboard, choco mousse especially :)
😆😆
Beautiful !! I get to see place from you van lifers. That this old grandma would never get to see. You two ladies are so cute together. You crack me up
Glad we can show you 😀
Another great vlog. Thanks for the "how to capture drone footage of your moving home", now just got the wife to drive our van while i fly the drone.
Just discovered your channel. Blown away…truly love your storytelling, cinematography, editing…everything. What a treat. Get me to Norway now! Meanwhile I have your entire back catalogue of videos to look forward to! ❤️🚐🎥🏔
Welcome along 😀
Watching you two on a Sunday night on your ventures is so relaxing from my front room absolutely brilliant I feel like I’m there in Norway
😀😀😀
I feel the same to
Great locations, scenery and so much skin!
Regardless of where you are the videos and your comments are the best.
I wish I had known about van life when I was 40 years younger.
yes, the skin IS the best part Emily - why else would you bother?? was quite fun listening quicker Louise - a new experience!
🙌🙌
The scenery just gets more and more impressive each vlog
Ayy up you 2 and pets, from what we have been shown by my 2 favourite travel vloggers ,just amazing I can see why you keep stopping.the drone footage is really cool.Emily I hope you haven’t eaten all the snack cupboard the jacket potato dance is real good have you been practicing???And you still owe all your ordinance and Lou a tenner.
No practice needed I’m just that good 😀
Sorry Emily couldn't resist.Joking apart it's worth a try xx
😂😂
Enjoy watching your video’s cannot wait for the next one thanks for the entertainment.
😆😆 who knows but it is me and something I would most definitely say
A sensible decision to not rush up around North Norway as you would spoil it. Taking your time to enjoy as much as possible and heading into Sweden sounds like a good plan.
Great content as always and looking forward to seeing the next video. All the best.
Haven't you heard of Insect Repellant? You wouldn't survive in a tropical country without "Aerogard". One spray and flies and mozzies disappear. Again some awesome scenery and amazing places. So much green! I hope you all enjoy the rest of the trip home. Thanks again for sharing and glad you missed the 40 degrees in England.
She had she just didn’t put any on 🙈😆
I've loved watching Norway well done folks 👍
Absolutely the right decision. It's all about slow travel. Enjoy!!
Yes! I loooove the weird neon green lichen that grows on rocks on the higher elevations in Norway. Another hike that has quite bit of that look is the "Maria med barnet" hike near Eggedal. The 'otherworldliness' of the mountaintop ecosystems is what made me decide to move to Norway
Glad you're having your best life! 🤗🥰
We can see why
I subscribed to your channel a few weeks ago and am thoroughly enjoying watching your adventures! Thank you for sharing Norway with us, What an absolutely stunning country! AJ and Summer are so well behaved and obviously love to travel just as you both do! Great videos, great drone filming and great banter! Cheers Ladies!
Glad you are enjoying them 😀

I have discovered your channel recently, too, and binge watching! Thank you for all you do! And great, informative narrative, as well!
I’m not sure Lou could handle another sea trip, not sure she even wants to try it 🙈
Another amazing and funny video from you both! Safe travels and thanks for sharing wonderful Norway with us! 💜
Thank you ladies for a fantastic journey
Looking forward to following you on the next one. safe travelling
I agree with your travel philosophy. So many people just zoom about and tick places off without really knowing anything about them or experiencing them properly 👍
How can you say you have seen and experienced something that quickly right
Have loved seeing Norway, beautiful place! Thanks for sharing!
I am loving the scenery you are finding but getting to the north is not important, just keep making the stunning drone vistas. And the scenery is beautiful. A return visit is essential.
