This is a good video. Thanks for posting. My methods are similar, but I have a container that I put the springs in and soak them for a few minutes in acetone, then brush with a paint brush. I use these same techniques for Wilson Combat, Chip McCormick and Cobra magazines in .45 ACP, .38 Super and 9 mm Luger. Always looking for a way to make it simpler and easier; thanks again.

It’s a good idea to clean them every 2,000 rounds or so. As far as how this man did it, he used a CLP type cleaner but the problem with any CLP type cleaner is it contains a lubricant which attracts dirt and residue. If you have compressed air available it’s just as easy to clean the parts in soap and water and then just blow them dry with compressed air and skip the lubrication step as I mentioned previously oil does attract dust and dirt. Of course to each his own.

Thanks for the input! If using CLP, use very little and wipe it down before reassembly.

I had a problem with my Wilson combat brand new mag , on a 8 round mag it’s feed the 4 th round flat so it’s causing a jam , I’m hoping the spring was not installed correctly, took it apart with help from ur video cleaned it and reinstalled, hopefully that fixes the problem

How often should you clean these mags I have the same ones just curious?

Thanks for the question! I do not clean them very often, however I will clean them if I drop them on the ground at the range or after a training class where hundreds of rounds were used. also I like to make sure the magazine in my carry gun are nice and clean at all times.

I am looking for extended pads for my WC magazines, are they interchangable, is there a certain one you recommend? thanks!

Sebastian, thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I do not have any recommendations, I have not used and extended pads. I will see if I can find out if they are interchangeable!

Sergey, thanks for the comment! I have not had any issues with mine. I only use Wilson Combat magazines and I find them to be quite reliable.

Got to say I use Wilson Combat in the same magazine pouch with others and Wilson Combat and Chip McCormick feed reliably in any of my 1911's (not to argue, just pointing out that you might have a more subtle issue).
