- Thessaloniki is one of the most beautiful cities in Hellas.
It is widely known as a trade nod in Balkans and for its historical background!
It is the second largest city in Hellas and the greatest in the birthplace of Alexander the Great - Macedonia.
00:19-00:32 : The Rotunda of Galerius is 125m northeast of the Arch of Galerius. It is also known (by its consecration and use) as the Hellenic Orthodox Church of Agios Georgios, and is informally called the Church of the Rotunda (or simply The Rotunda).The cylindrical structure was built in 306 AD on the orders of the tetrarch Galerius, who was thought to have intended it to be his mausoleum. It was more likely intended as a temple; it is not known to what god it would have been dedicated, probably Zeus. The Rotunda has a diameter of 24.5 m. Its walls are more than 6 m thick, which is why it has withstood Thessaloniki's earthquakes. The walls are interrupted by eight rectangular bays, with the west bay forming the entrance. A flat brick dome, 30 m high at the peak, crowns the cylindrical structure. In its original design, the dome of the Rotunda had an oculus, as does the Pantheon in Rome.

Aléxandros ho Mégas), was a king (basileus) of the ancient Hellenic kingdom of Macedon[a] and a member of the Argead dynasty. He was born in Pella (Hellenic city in North Hellas) in 356 BC and succeeded his father Philip II to the throne at the age of 20. He spent most of his ruling years on an unprecedented military campaign through Asia and northeast Africa, and he created one of the largest empires of the ancient world by the age of thirty, stretching from Hellas to northwestern India. He was undefeated in battle and is widely considered one of history's most successful military commanders. During his youth, Alexander was tutored by Aristotle until age 16. After Philip's assassination in 336 BC, he succeeded his father to the throne and inherited a strong kingdom and an experienced army. Alexander was awarded the generalship of Hellas and used this authority to launch his father's pan-Hellenic project to lead the Hellines in the conquest of Persia. In 334 BC, he invaded the Achaemenid Empire (Persian Empire) and began a series of campaigns that lasted 10 years. Following the conquest of Anatolia, Alexander broke the power of Persia in a series of decisive battles, most notably the battles of Issus and Gaugamela. He subsequently overthrew Persian King Darius III and conquered the Achaemenid Empire in its entirety. At that point, his empire stretched from the Adriatic Sea to the Indus River. He endeavored to reach the "ends of the world and the Great Outer Sea" and invaded India in 326 BC, winning an important victory over the Pauravas at the Battle of the Hydaspes. He eventually turned back at the demand of his homesick troops. Alexander died in Babylon in 323 BC, the city that he planned to establish as his capital, without executing a series of planned campaigns that would have begun with an invasion of Arabia. He founded some twenty cities that bore his name, most notably Alexandria in Egypt. Alexander's settlement of Hellenic colonists and the resulting spread of Hellenic culture in the east resulted in a new Hellenistic civilization, aspects of which were still evident in the traditions of the Byzantine Empire in the mid-15th century AD and the presence of Hellenic speakers in central and far eastern Anatolia until the 1920s. Alexander became legendary as a classical hero in the mold of Achilles, and he features prominently in the history and mythic traditions of both Hellenic and non-Hellenic cultures.
His name in Hellenic language derives from "Aλέξω" = "Alekso" = "RepeL" + "Ανήρ" = "Αner" = "Man" which means the one that fights men.

Ειμαι 35 χρονια βιντεοληπτης τα περισσοτερα εξωτερικο...και δε προλαβα να τραβηξω αρκετα εναερια απο θεσσαλονικη...Στο δικο σου βιντεο βλεπω εχεις σκαναρει τη Θεσσαλονικη μας στο φουλ και μπραβο σου....
Φυσικα θα αναφερω το ονομα σου και πως οι εναεριες ληψεις ειναι δικες σου...ΠΑΝΤΑ ΜΕ ΣΕΒΑΣΜΟ ΣΤΟ ΔΗΜΙΟΥΡΓΟ.

Πολυ πολυ καλο και δυνατο βιντεο! Μπραβο συγχαρητητια και για τις ληψεις και για την μουσικη και για το μονταζ αν και σε καποια σημεια θελει λιγη δουλιτσα ακομα αλλα πραγματικα το συνολο ειναι καταπληκτικο! Συνεχισε ετσι και ευχομαι να βρεθουμε και απο κοντα να τα πουμε! Εχω κι εγω καποια πλανα με hyperlapse απο θεσσαλονικη αν σε ενδιαφερει.
Mε το καλό όταν ξανανέβω εννοείται!!Δυστυχώς τα πλάνα αυτά είναι δυο ημερών (δεν είχα περισσότερο χρόνο) για αυτό και περιορισμένα λίγο σε ποικιλία!

Brilliant work, V. Your aerial footage of the city is marvelous. The alternating views of the same areas during the day and at night were terrific. I also like the footage of the street as seen from the side of the front wheel of the car that was driving through the traffic. I hope none of your equipment was damaged during this recording. Πολύ αργά ξύπνησαν όλοι αυτοί που ψάχνονται με την θεσνικη , άραγε πριν την παρουσίαση πότε ήταν η τελευταία φορά που την επισκεφθηκαν. Ακόμη και οι επιλογές τους, δείχνουν πόσο ξέρουν την θεσνικη και τι μπορούν να δείξουν για να εντυπωσιασουν. Πολύ αργά ξυπνήσατε και... Άλλη μια από τα ίδια των προηγούμενων...
