Ive had the redwing 44 tactical in black for the past 6years or so and its by far the best pack ive owned. Couple clips broke but that was due to it being throung in the washer and dryer but it still function like a champ.
This new model has a height of 25 inches over last years 22 inches. Will this cause problems when using this as a carry on? The carryon limit for many airlines is 22 inches tall, and it would not be good to buy thus bag and end up having to check it
No one will make you "test the size" when you are wearing a backpack like this. These fit extremely well in overheads because the overheads are always shallow in the back, so rectangular luggage doesn't fit as far in, while backpacks like this slide all the way in. And it can probably squish down to 22" long anyway.
So.... I guess they stopped making this backpack? I can't find any anywhere except for 2 black ones left in my state. Now I have to start shopping other brands lol ugh. (The Redwing 50 is too large, and the tactical is too uncomfortable)
I tried to remove hip belt but it was way harder than it looks on the video... First thing was the strip bands that come crimped and dont allow to be unleash (That was easy to fix with scissors). Then the aluminum bar that I believe goes through the hip belt. I has not being able to pull the aluminum bar up to release the hip belt... Hopefully you can give me some tips.... :)
Juan Francisco López Hernández I agree. It’s kind of misleading to talk about removing the waist strap when to do so, you possibly void the warranty by cutting the crimped straps on the sides... Then there’s the metal shank.

When will you release the next redwing with lockable zipper and hip pockets??

@@777arc2you cant squish length when theres both a frame sheet and an aluminum stay thats 25 inches. You cant squish steel.

How long are the hip straps fully extended..
So will a 32oz Nalgene bottle fit in the zippered side pockets?
why is the one from Dick's Sporting Goods missing features?
cant find on your site? only tactical..
