I Knew Your Name - American Beech

Brand new tune I've been working on the past few weeks, I Knew Your Name.
It's about seeing someone you used to know, who lived a similar life, come out the other side better off. Lots of feelings that come with that. A little jealousy and frustration when you see them doing better than you in some ways. A little self-loathing and guilt when you think about not keeping in touch and how you could've handled things better in the past.
But mostly it's about being proud of that person. Even if you'll never speak to or see them again. Being proud to have known them and see the person they've become.
