Against the breathtaking backdrop of 18th century Cornwall, Aidan Turner (Poldark), Eleanor Tomlinson (Demelza) and Heida Reed (Elizabeth) return as the complicated love triangle in a new season of the popular romantic saga, based on the novels by Winston Graham.
This scene was so funny to me. I like how she's in labor and in a boat trying to get back to shore and they are shouting at each other while he is trying to get her out of the boat Then they insult each other as he carries her out of the water. Two scenes later they are all smiles at Jeremy's christening. Only a person you love deeply can make you that angry.
the best part of this episode is at the end when he says, he found his star in a dog fight. Best episode of all. The entire Poldark clan were united
Oh it definitely works Aidan! My guess is the difficulty and tension from the weather and high tide also benefited the end result. Love this scene! Also love the entire series - looking forward to Season 5.
I appreciated Season 5 after looking up the biography of Edward "Ned" Despard. At first, I thought it tedious and drawn out. The series handled it well.
It was a tough scene to shoot ok, these scenes made it a very successful series, plus many shots of the wild Cornwall coastline, the accents of jed and prudy and the scenes portrayingocal customs, the culture and songs made it all endearing to the viewers, well done guys, great adaptation
I have to say carrying Eleanor in rough water and having to say lines....i was impressed.

Obviously this must have been s very difficult scene to shoot and it makes you think that demelza was crazy being pregnant to go out on the sea she is a difficult woman to live with actually so is Ross their relationship is weird and I think their story would have been of no interest it is the charming Aidan that makes people watch it
