- Premier League is HUGE. A global SUPER LEAGUE but... Bigger isn't always BETTER ⚽️ The Bundesliga in Germany is WUNDERBAR and I fell in love with it last season, partly because of some of the reasons I'll mention in this video. There are many things they do better than we do in England. So with that in mind here are 5 REASONS THE BUNDESLIGA IS BETTER THAN THE PREMIER LEAGUE 🏆 Do you agree with my list⁉️ Get involved in the comments section below and share your thoughts 👍🏽 The Bundesliga 24/25 season begins on Friday 23rd of August with the Premier League starting the weekend prior 🤩

Number 5 in hindsight should have been “STANDING/TERRACING” eg Nordkurd I think you have? Obviously you know since 1989 the Hillsborough Disaster - we have ALL SEATER STADIUMS 😊 It is still very strange when I see terracing in Bundesliga stadiums…
the thing is that almost all bundesliga players flop in pl

Neither Schalke nor BVB fan, but seeing that actually sent a shiver down my spine...
Well... Its also kinda stupid and "suicidal" to do so...
one thing that happened last year that proved to me that the Bundesliga is "better" than the prem was the fan protestes against the involvent of an investor. Basicly the head organisation of the bundesliga planned to sell parts of the income of TV rights to an outside investor and the fans protested against it. But it wasnt just one club or some angry comments on the internet, no, they started throwing "goldtaler" (coin formed chocolate wrapped in goldpaper) on the field which in return forced the referee to stop the match for several minutes until all the coins were cleaned up.
And again, that wasnt just one club, they did this in every stadium, in everey game for over half a year until the deal was cancelled.
That would be absolutely unimaginable in the UK were the "Fans" are basicly only hoping that they get a "better" investor. For me the Prem is little more than a live action Football Manager Game for rich Oligarchs and arabic dictatorships.
I think the Prem can be better compared to the NFL system in USA then to to Bundesliga. Could an oligarch investors legaly change a club's city as they do in NFL? How would United fans react when the owners decide to move the club out of Manchester?
Don't forget the tennis balls or the remote controlled car with pyrotechnics attached that drove over the pitch. that was absolutely hysterical.

Honestly, when I went to a Dortmund game, the crowd had already gathered 5 hours before kickoff.... It feels like a real matchday atmosphere.

Bundesliga is also good because they develop young players and give them a chance which is something you don't often see in the premier league anymore
Yeah you’d never get a class of 92 coming through these days in the Prem 😔
i kinda disagree with that. england with france have the best youth players and thats not only a recent thing so i think that there is really a lot of good stuff happening concerning that topic. it's just that the traditional top5 aren't really producing results. if you take the prime example of each club it's foden, saka, palmer, elliot, mainoo. i wouldn't know for tottenham so i'm placing harry kane as the only top player they developed. but in all honesty 1 youth player as a positive isn't enough. with that being said my biggest issue with the epl are their spending habbits. it's not that you aren't allowed to spend lots for transfers it's just the quality of those transfers in relation to the transferfees is just mad. i am from germany and when the transferperiods come i'm awaiting the next huge overpay that will give financial peace of mind to another bundesligist for 2 or 3 years. just take this period for example, guirassy has had an outstanding performance last season, obviously 1 good season doesn't mean he will be a world class striker in the near future. but for 18 mio transfer fee in a clause. how are epl clubs not chasing this one like mad. instead it's either risky transfers for high fees or talents with long ass contracts. or the third option fuck the ffp and just buy 20 players so you are kinda guaranteed that 2 will be spot on (city style). the 2 biggest differences imo are the spike in player quality from the epl compared to the bundesliga, the epl obviously have some of the best individual players in the world but i think city is just slightly ahead of bayern, the other top4-5 bundesligisten CAN compete with epl top6 in european cups and the rest of both leagues measure up equally, and the quality of managerial work, the bundesliga accomplish way more with way less ressources.
@@nikkonreinold9821 we was actually praising the bundesliga not insulting it plus in Germany you give players time to develop England sadly doesn't hence our underperformances in competitions Germany have had alot of success due to the seamless transitions as the player roles are similar to what they do at their clubs
@@terryscrewloosesings i am aware. i'm not saying your take is wrong, i'm just saying there are more points to be made. i think germany is good at international competitions be it with the clubs or the euros/worlds is also influenced by our winter break. i think there are some factors that are very disadvantageous for english teams. but it's really alot to discuss and i am already putting out novels as it is. i just think the "sellout" (put it in brackets cause it's not as bad as it sounds) of the epl only brought in more money but it disrupted alot for english teams. you need almost 20 top tier players in every roster to be able to compete in all competitions. the fees for english clubs are way higher than for other leagues' teams, there are even clauses that make that very clear. but i think in total the epl isn't in the worst spot, yet. i hope there will be a turnaround and honest work comes back.
@@nikkonreinold9821 I hope so cause the fees thanks to the likes of PSG for example have made transfers astronomical compared to how they originally were
As a German football fan, I have to say that the playoff system of the English leagues is way better than the playoff in the Bundesliga. It's unfair that a club with way more money and probably better player material can play a club from a league below. Even if it was close the year before, this was very one-sided.
Ja das stimmt

You have to visit the club Preußen Münster. Its a very traditional club founded in 1906 and they were a part of the first Bundesliga season ever. They recently got promoted from 4th division to the 2. Bundesliga in two consecutive seasons. So the atmosphere will be very great next season. english football is dead for ages
i was such a fan of english football as a child but nothing of that is left ... its a league of billionaire with plastic clubs, they removed all lower class fans by raising the cost so no one can afford it anymore basicly getting rid of every fan culture there was ...
if you are in an english stadium there is ZERO atmosphere ... like seriously a 3rd league german game has a better atmosphere ...
someway in that cahnge in english fan culture they also came up that "Insults" are some kind of "atmosphere" but it isnt its just cringe
I wasn’t say it’s “dead” because it’s a money making machine but in terms of atmosphere it’s heading that way. Teams like Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, often Villa too are generally good. At old Trafford for the big games it’s normally decent… victim of its own success the Prem is 😔
@@RysFootyParadiseI am an Augsburg fan and when I go to home games I can get a seat in the first row for 35€, that would be unimaginable in England
@DaxRaider thats why suprinsingly The National League (5th Tier and badly called "Non League") is more fun watching than the Top End
@@RysFootyParadiseDEAD for FANS - it feels Like "you dont need Fans anymore"
The key point is that Bundesliga-Clubs are forbidden to be owned by a private owner or company but ruled by their members. And every fan can become a member. There are unfortunately companies/private persons trying to get that changed or try find their ways around, which is why Leverkusen, Wolfburg are not really liked and Hoffenheim and especially RB are hated by the fans (but this is a topic for another day).
The fact members (read fans) can decide in the annual assembly goes hand to hand with your second point, that fans make their thoughts heard with their protests in and outside the stadium around matchdays lead to them being more listened to by the management of the clubs and the league.
This also leads to everything else: reasonable ticket prices and food/drink prices, not having games at unreasonable kick-off times, selling matches completely to be played overseas, holding open training sessions, having summer test matches in the neighborhood instead of in Asia or the US, etc. All that bullshit starts to happen in Bundesliga as well partly, brutto a less lower extent and the fans make sure it does not go overhand just to maximize the profit of the private owner of a club like in the PL, who sold their soul to the super-rich already
I totally agree. Last year I rocked up to Mainz Vs Augsburg on the day. Bought a ticket for €13, yes only €13 and you can drink watching the game. Also been to Köln and Stuttgart. I will be returning this season, hopefully for 3.Liga as well. München ist Blau

It's so common for German clubs. atm I like the videos of new Schalke players being surprised by how many fans are visiting the training camp in Austria.

I am a lifelong man United fan and also an Eintracht Frankfurt fan when it comes to German football.I visit 4-5 games a season at Old Trafford and some 8-10 games at the Deutsche bank park in Frankfurt. The atmosphere is not even comperable.Germany is miles ahead of England when it comes to support. It's a shame what's happening to the Premier League, the ordinary fan is pushed out of the stadiums and there are millions of tourists in there.Reminds me of a commercialized hot-dog and Coca-Cola American "sports".
I hope the Bundesliga never changes.Due to heavy investments lately England could be slighly ahead when it comes to the football on the pitch itself, but i would choose the Bundesliga atmosphere and fan culture any day over the Premier League.I was talking a lot on the subject with die hard United fans when i was in Manchester and they feel the same. There is no connection between the fans and the clubs. In Germany the 50 plus 1 ownership model allows us to be more "part of the project" called Eintracht Frankfurt (in my case).

Please come to Freiburg! ❤
Our club is one of just a few Bundesliga clubs, which is still by law a club instead of a company.
We also have a new stadium and are known for developing players, a lot of them from our own youth academy.
One example is Noah Atubolu, who was playing for the 2nd team in the 22/23 season but was promoted to the first team last season, becoming the new first choice gk immediately. Even though this was a risky move, it has paid off and he has now become one of Germany's biggest goalie youth prospects saving 2 penalties on the last matchday of the 23/24 season.
Also we are known for sticking to our coaches, having just 5 head coaches since 1991.
Sadly, our last manager, Christian Streich, retired this summer with Julian Schuster, a club legend, taking over his spot.
You got to watch 1.FC Nürnberg vs Schalke 04. The fans have the oldest and biggest fan-friendship in german football so theres always good vibes and big choreos

Just had this video in my recommended's. I enjoyed the video. My club just got relegated to the 3. Liga for this season, but that's fine. I only disagree with your 5th point. In Germany the playoff is quite disliked still. We'd rather prefer 3 down, 3 up than the playoffs.
Would love if you would go to Nürnberg. Shit football, but great fans, old and unique stadium, decent beer for 5€ and football legend Miroslav Klose at the coaching bench
I’ve said it once and I’ll continue to say it, the premier league is seriously overrated.
…would you have said that if Leeds won the playoffs? 😁❤️
Maybe you want to come around for a game of 4th league as well? My club Duisburg just got relegated last season an they already sold about 3000 to 4000 season tickets. Thrice as much as last season in 3rd league. I got to do some calculations before I can buy one for myself 😅 But season will start in two weeks already if you crave for some football after the Euros
The sponsor of Dortmund which caused discussion is the company Rheinmetal.
This company is germany's biggest company producing military equipment, like tanks (leopard) and artillerie munition etc. .
I see it is necessery to have them, recent years showede that, but them sponsoring a club in a peaceful sport feels weird. I dont like it.
Went to several BVB matches last season, but the best was the last home game against Darmstadt. Ticket was only €18 on the Südtribüne, atmosphere was amazing and Marco Reus bought 80k beers for everyone in the stadium. Please take that Leverkusen bucket hat off the BVB Westfalenstadion anniversary shirt.
If you haven't been, I humbly suggest you visit FC St.Pauli. beautiful 30k stadium right at the heart of St.Pauli, literally always 100% attendance - and now they got promoted to 1BL back again after 11 long years. Especially awesome because big city rival Hamburger SV was left behind in 2BL this year for the first time ever.
Ipswich does have a "ultra" group however atmosphere inside the stadium is nowhere near what it is at germany. Ipswich also have a friendship with fortuna Dusseldorf where once a year a group of fortuna fans visit an Ipswich match ant then Ipswich fans return the favour. Just recently there was a match Organised between Ipswich and fortuna Dusseldorf which went really well as both fans have an amazing relationship with each other. Quite a rare sight in English football but so amazing to see
Good to hear! Deffo want to get to Dusseldorf this season
As a fan of German football maybe the one thing I would adapt from English footbal is the promotion games.
Just emagne games sites like HSV, St Pauli, Kiel, Kalrshue, Hannover even Schalke, Herta or Köln meetings in a one game match up where the winner gets promotion. Imagne the drama and atmosphere.
For the first two or three years of the playoffs in England they had the 4th bottom team in the then First division in the playoffs against the third to fifth in the second division and the final was two legged. Infamously Chelsea lost to Middlesbrough over two legs and were relegated and fan violence forced the playing of their first three games the following year behind closed doors. It was changed after that season at the behest of the First Division clubs and continued as part of The Premier League - there’s no way you’d get the Premier clubs to agree with it. Zero chance unfortunately.
Go to Mainz 05 vs Union Berlin, Mainz Play against their ex Coach and Both clubs are newer but established clubs in the bundesliga
Mainz has been in Bundesliga for 18 out of the last 20 years. That's not new any more. Union, Heidenheim, Leipzig, that's new.
@@洋曾-v7t Leipzig shouldn't be there
It's not just clubs being more open to what the fans think, apart from some certain ones, the clubs actually have to listen to them and can only make decisions with their approval
The 50+1 rule also has some downsides. 1860 Munich is a huge club but divided into club fans and investor fans that put the club at edge.

EPL has probably better players, Bundesliga way better atmosphere (but so does La Liga), based on the games I watched online. What I do like a lot though in Bundesliga is 50 + 1; in England billionares who have nothing to do with the clubs decide their fate
The problem with both the bundes liga and premier league,is that too few teams get relegated. It should be 4,not 3. Having 4 teams relegated makes the releagtion battle far more exiting and fun to watch!

Great Video! Yeah as a german I am really happy about out football culture. When I take look over the pond it seems kinda depressing to see how the english football culture has come to. On the way the english and german football parted with english football choosing the way of high quality big money football and on the downside the decline in fan culture and on the long run it well get worse for the english fans. You guys are not part of the club anymore, while here in Germany we stick to culture but in the long run will probably habe a decline in quality of football (bc of money) but we will still be part of our clubs. In germany we have a saying that goes like: nobody is bigger than the club" while here it is true in england there is one bigger, the chairman / investor. Everything depends on him and when he doesnt have any fun anymore with his toy, the club will go down until found a new rich man to buy the club and nobody will ask you about your opinion. Thats some doomsday shit right there.

If you are a decision maker and the fans dont want you: That will cost you a job. So you better try to find a solution both sides can work with.
Otherwise you get voted out.
If city are found guilty, will they be stripped of all the titles they've won since the takeover? If so that'll leave the pot they won to piss in in 1951, and there's even some controversy with that. That homeless family had a clear penalty that wasn't given. And the trophy Shaun Goater won for being the best player named Shaun Goater. And there's still some controversy there too.
The Premier League NEEDS that lot found guilty for it to thrive again
Go to Braunschweig vs Hannover in 2nd Bundesliga 😁
the 5th point in Germany everyone wants to abolish the relegation haha because the last 16-19 times only 3 times the 2nd division team has won, many or all want 3 relegated or 3 promoted teams or the system like in England haha
I, as a German living in Germany, hate the relegation. I am in favor of 3 promoted teams and 3 relegated teams or 2 fixed places and the rest is regulated like you do in England.
number 5 is the only one i give to the prem...

Maybe im just growing old and tired.
But i dont want our, nor your relegation system.
I want 3 teams getting relegated, 3 teams promoted.
Our relegations is seriously, astronomically scewed towards the 1. Bundesliga member
and you relegation would be generally more fair as the last promotion spot gets played out within its own league - but that means even more matchdays, so thats a no from me.
You should definetely look more into 1. FC Köln! Massive German club, fallen giant and they are playing the opening game of the 2. Bundesliga against Hamburg, great club!😃
pls go to a vfb Stuttgart spiel
Smoking is actualley banned
Smoking is forbidden in the public in England? WHAT? You mean public places like a library or a bus or fottball stadion, right? Not like "leaving your house and being on a public street" public, right?
I disagree with your 5th point: relegation playoff punishes a club who played a great season and favors a club who played a shitty one. Basically it tells the wnd Bundesliga Club that the season didn't matter. Also, the money difference between first and second Bundesliga is so big, that the chances for a playoff win of the lesser club is extremely small. Unfair system.
I’d switch that 5th point with “terracing” (standing) 😊👍🏾
Safe standing for years.
Fair shout I should have had that at number 5… getting older though I’m enjoying a seat 🙊
Grüße aus Aachen
LOVED my time at Aachen and look forward to more games at the Tivoli this season 🤩
If you want to make a real new experience you should visit Frankfurt.
Nothing, absolutely nothing is compareable to that atmosphere especially when they have an international match.
Should be more like „points where Bundesliga is better than….“.
That’s the same as the title? Lol
Why not the opening game in Mönchengladbach?
Go to the family block there smoking is prohibited
Vs Leverkusen isn’t it? Be a good game 🤩
@@RysFootyParadise yes it is.
Go to Hertha vs schalke or Hertha vs hsv
No any day bundersliga will be above EPL,no any day.

The Premier League
is all fine & well it has the glamour I guess you would terms it as
but honestly, it's very different when I was growing up. In the 90s, it's
become far to commercial all about the money most stadiums but a hand full in the
Premier league have all the atmosphere of the moon & I say that as a
Chelsea fan & I included
Stamford Bridge in that statement.
honestly, I prefer
The E.F.L. now a day's when it comes
English football.
In terms of
leagues in
Mainland Europe
I enjoy watching
Serie A , Eredivisie &
Bundesliga the most.
In La Liga, now a day's, the vast majority of games are low scoring something Serie A has moved away from since
the 90's & early 00's.
The Bundesliga has buy far the best atmosphere
but Bayern have to much of a hold over German club football. In my view, it's not competitive enough most seasons
& with most games
Kicking Off @ 14.30 for us in the U.K. we dont get to see the vast majority of games from
The Bundesliga because of this stupid
Saturday afternoon blackout rule we have in
The U.K .😡
As growing up in the 80's & 90s, Serie A was on
Channel 4, so it became a must watch & still is for me Forza Italia.
In terms of international football, though, I am passionate about Germany because they put England out of
Euro 96 & I remember well how the main str media rected to that as a
Scot, it was priceless
I have been a massive fan of Germany ever since unless they play
Scotland.
In terms of Eredivisie
I remember Ajax being
King's of Europe in 95
& my passion grow in
98 for Eredivisie because of my art teacher in college. He was a Celtic
& Feyenoord fan so
as a Rangers fan, it was
Ajax for me
Eredivisie has some great stadiums, but in the past
three seasons, there has been a massive surge in
hooliganism, unfortunately.
I would put
my preference in this order.
1 : Serie A
2 : Eredivisie
3 : Bundesliga
4 : E.F.L
5 : Bundesliga
6 : Campeonato Brasileiro
Serie A
7 : Liga Profesional de Fútbol Argentina
8 : M.L.S
9 : Chilean Primera División
10 : Scottish Premier League.
The problem with
Scottish football is there is not enough movement of clubs between divisions it's so difficult to
get up the leagues in
Scotland & our league is so financially unstable
most clubs are more scared of losing than realy go for the win most of the time.
We do have an ultra culture in Scotland now a day's but it's relatively new & has only come about because of
the Internet & people seeing what is happening in Mainland Europe it did not exist when I was growing up most clubs in
Scotland have some kind of ultra group now
from The Old Firm to
Hearts , Hibs to
Dumbarton & Clydebank
I want to be more passionate about our domestic game put it's extremely more in terms of the quality on the pitch now a day's but first class in terms of atmospheres & not just at Ibrox & Celtic Park.
When I was growing up we had a much higher level of players in Scotland than now a day's every club had at leat one player that was worth paying to watch that is far from true now.
It's impossible to find a league that ticks all the boxes fans are looking for
If you combined
The Premier League , Bundesliga , Scottish football &
South American football
& add the food from
The M.L.S you would get pritty close to the perfect
football league.
If I could have a season ticket for one club it would be between
Glentoran , Ajax , Boca Juniors or Seattle Sounders I would be happy with one for any of them.
Dulwich Hamlet
Is my suggestion for when you are next in London.
Some day you should go to watch
Corinthian Casuals
based in Tolworth in London they are proper football royalty in my view real football history.
Keep Safe cracking video.
Thanks for sharing mate 👍🏾 agree with many of your points… maybe not the Euro 96 ones 🤣 I really enjoyed Scottish football in the mid 90s being a Gazza fan but similar to La Liga I’d love for another Aberdeen to come along and break to the 2-team dominance
@RysFootyParadise
Simmler to the
Premier League in England The Scottish Premier League has become a one horse race in recent times. I would like to see 4 clubs be challenging to win both
Premier Leagues in
Scotland & England.
Realistically if Hearts got the right investment, they could possibly push for the title but as it is I can't see anything but Celtic winning the league again
& the same with
Manchester City in
England.
Well done England yesterday.
England have the best crest at the Euro's.
Serie A should be wide open in terms of the title race.
In La Liga I wish we could
see Valencia challenge again.
Football needs a salary
cap of some kind.
Keep Safe.
If you want a real Bundesliga Experience, come to Stuttgart. Best atmosphere and very interesting games
Beautiful stadium too 😍
