I can’t believe More women don’t watch your lifesaving, educational videos. Yet millions will watch makeup tutorial and “beauty” influencers, it’s insane.
i stopped mammograms altogether because I am more scared of over diagnosis and over treatment, which causes more harm and trauma. And add to that, if you ARE treated for anything, you're roped into the system forever after, and they won't leave you alone about coming in for this or that test. Oh and maybe you should really add ____ test too... Might I get breast cancer? Sure. But you have to die of something. I've also read that for every 1 woman saved by screening, 10 are over diagnosed and over treated. Also read that mammograms have not decreased deaths from invasive cancer (the kind that kills you) since when they came out. They've just diagnosed more cancer. So why bother? Just saw a Katie Couric headline "more young women are being diagnosed with cancer, why?" Gee, I wonder...No, I will entirely skip being their guinea pig and take my chances, until I observe a more reasonable system. Or I might sneak over the border if I am able (I live a few minutes from Canada) and get tested there, just so it's distinct from anything I do here in the US. I want to be free.
Unbelievable!!!! Such an eye opener! Thank you for this ever important information. My menopause doc said I can go 3 years between mammograms now…I’m 66. (Looks like I have some homework)…Time to call my insurance to see if they will continue to pay for my requested annual mammograms or if I must save up to pay out of pocket. I can’t wait to hear what you have to say next week!
You are amazing! Thank you so much for this explanation. I completely agree, we must be our own personal guides and do what gives us peace of mind. This includes learning all that we can about our health. I appreciate you and all that you do for women’s health.
I am 70. I am vibrant, strong, and youthful. I also am not worth saving in 4 years. This makes me so sad. Guidelines=money. People over 70 aren't worth saving. Surreal.
I used to get a mammogram every year. I did this for about 2 decades, but my last one was about 5 years ago and I don't plan to ever get another one. Why not? Because I've read some good books (and watched some videos) which explain why mammogram screenings aren't worth it for most women. The data they present is very convincing. I'm always open to hearing about new studies and I would certainly change my mind if ever I come across some legitimate evidence that counters what I've learned, but until then I will skip having my breasts smashed and irradiated. From what I've read, no study has found that breast cancer screening reduces total mortality in women to a statistically significant degree. In other words, the screened population DOES NOT LIVE LONGER than the unscreened population. It's a personal choice for each woman to make, and if someone is at high risk or if they have a suspicious sign, then a mammogram may very well make sense, but screening the general population of women has unfortunately been shown to be MORE HARMFUL THAN BENEFICIAL. Overdiagnosis and overtreatment are rampant and they are very risky, causing not only a lot of unnecessary stress, pain, and disfigurement, but even shortened lives.
The great thing about this education is that you can use it (or refuse it) as you please. There is nothing that is right for all women. We are not robots. There are trade-offs with absolutely everything. And I will address all of them in this Breast Cancer unit. All the decisions are yours. You never have to justify your choices to anybody. The goal is to empower you to manage YOUR menopause YOUR way ... and allow all other women to do the same.
As you will discover in the upcoming videos, there are actually 8 different screening tests for breast cancer ... but not a single one of them is perfect. This is precisely the kind of thing for which I do one-on-one consultations. You definitely need one. I cannot tailor things specifically to you in a comment box. It requires much more information than you can give me here, and you deserve much more information than I can give you here. No two women are alike, and addressing your situation requires tailoring all the facts specifically to YOU. I do them all via online video conferencing. You can schedule at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I look forward to meeting you and helping you.
Sounds like Big Insurance interference, which surprises me a little. You would think that it would be less costly in the long run to prevent cancer or catch it early than to cover expensive treatments once it is entrenched. But companies never seem to play the long game. It's always about what will save money now. They would rather gamble in the game of averages than do the logical thing. And if women over that cutoff age start getting cancer at an alarming rate, will they come up with a reason not cover it, as in "They're old and won't live much longer anyway so . . ."
Ur videos saved my life.i am 56yrs. Started using HRT 9 WEEKS now..but symptoms of menapousal like mood swing. Depression and Anxiety on and off. Iam using PROGYLUTON.i feel better for a week or 2 weeks than depression and anxiety comes back for a week or more..is this normal?

No where in any country will they allow a mammo each year, unless you pay with your own money, or do ultrasounds and thermography, which can detect even smaller cycst which mammo cannot
They not only allow them annually here in the U.S. but most health insurance plans cover the cost at 100%. It's considered preventive and encouraged here.
My understanding is mammograms expose us to high levels of radiation. Would that put us at a greater risk of breast cancer? I’ve also read that the compression on the breast is dangerous. Your thoughts?
Why are you surprised about big insurance interference in your health matters?!? They do it all the time! Examples: prescriptions, tests and how to care for a condition. So many of my doctors have appealed my rejections from the insurance company that I have lost count.

Sorry, but mammograms are not life-saving! Radiation and mammograms causes and increases cancer… Research Heat Thermography. God bless you! 🙏🕊️

Relatable, they add a lot to stress, the doctors that is. Stress is bad for your health 😊
I address this in this unit.
@@MenopauseTaylor I think you do. I realize I am extreme, but I can't help it.

No more mammo for me as they don’t detect anything in my highly dense breasts. A MRI every 2 years is sufficient. Am I doing the right thing, Madam?

Hi Barbie, I love your channel! Can you please help us to figure out why there seems to be a progesterone shortage here in the US?
There are female hormone shortages world-wide.
Of course, this would never happen if it were testosterone that we needed.
Exactly!!@@MenopauseTaylor
I'm 49 years old. I haven't had my period in 3 years so I need progesterone? Or just estrogen? I heard you have to take progesterone with estrogen
You have to take a progestin along with estrogen if you still have your uterus.
Watch more of her videos. You need both if you have your uterus.

They do not "interfere." They take control.
And remember, insurance people are a bunch of business people who have no medical educations whatsoever.
