In this video a 1986 Hero Honda CD100 bike engine (Made in Japan) dismantles itself.
A brief history: Back when the Indian two-wheeler market was ruled by the likes of the Yamaha RX100, Kawasaki Bajaj RTZ, Yezdi and the brutish Yamaha RD350, Hero-Honda came up with the simple and efficient CD100. Powered by a 96.4cc four-stroke engine, the CD-100 changed the game and economics of the 2-wheeler industry. It killed the two-strokes, began India's obsession with "kitna deti hai" and cemented Hero MotoCorp's position as a titan in the Indian automotive space.
Launched in the 1985 the CD100 was based on the Honda Cub from where it borrowed the "sloper engine" configuration and the pressed steel chassis. The CD100 was available as a CD100SS and the CD100 Delux trim too. And last but not the least, Salman Khan was the face of the CD100, "fill it, shut it, forget it", marketing campaign too!

hi friend, i am having 35 years yound (Hero) Honda CD 100 1987 model. can you supply the engine case cover both side with HONDA logo. as per your video. Still i am using in perfect condition. i want some spares and body sticker olde model.

Sorry, I am not selling the ones I have. But I think the case covers from the Hero Splendor or any Hero with this type of engine (pre-push start) should fit. If you are looking specifically for the "made in Japan" type ones, then that might be hard to find but scrap yards might be a good place to start.

@@zunda44 sorry don't know anyone that might have these. Like I said, best place to look would be scrap yard or old motorcycle garages. It might even be worth buying a spare engine or maybe an entire bike and use it for parts in the future if it fits your budget and you have space for storage.
