I lived off bass pro and had a new born when this hit.. It sucked the air out of my house and was loud.. the that you hear are in rockwall... The blue flash , it hit the electric grid by the lake.. The weather station never told us that there was a tornado.. I could feel the house lift up , then .... nothing.. The silence afterwards hurt my ears.. It was an unbelievable experience. . As I speak a tornado just touched down in rockwall. .
I live in mesquite texas. This tornado was only 6 miles from my house.. My wife and I went to see the aftermath a couple days after it happened. I can honestly tell you that it looked like a huge bomb and been dropped . Total devastation..
@@RagingMoon1987we don’t have them in Austin Texas due to the lack of strong tornadoes being a threat based on historical data, the cost of testing them and maintaining them is a lot, we did have a small tornado recently in round rock north of us, it crossed the highway, I think ef 1 , I got the alert on my phone and I was aware of severe thunderstorm warnings prior, I was watching the hourly on the weather app
You got some great video of this!!! I live in Tulsa and had a fewwww storms this year and they mostly were at night and weren’t filmed. Or at least can’t find much actual twister footage. Great job filming this!
We just moved to Rockwall from Utah. The houses here don't have basements. Where do you go for shelter when you hear the sirens? I need some tonado 101! :)
Right after that flash, at 2:54, I think you may have captured some sort of EVP. Between that flash, and the lady says "Oh, what was that?" Almost sounds like a whispery male voice saying "Get her.......(something else)" Just something I picked up on as the video ended.
I think it’s funny that we both have the same name and we both are into audio production. Crazy right ? I have 20 years into recording and over 20k invested. I’d love to share mixes with you sometime. Hope you keep dodging those tornado’s
That Deep, "jet engine" roar off in the distance is rather scary!!! WOW!!!

Yeah. Those sirens are ACA P-50s.

I live in Houston and we don't have tornado sirens or homes with basements.
We do have civil defense sirens, which can double as tornado sirens
I get why y'all wouldn't have basements, but why no sirens? Do you know why?

The tornado would have hit my house if the turnpike didn't cause it to turn a little.

Interior room without windows, or bathroom which will have pipes in the wall for extra support.
Just lookin at this old thread and hopefully you are okay today
@@RandallRash how long y’all survived
Besides rhe tornado, hearing rowlett and rockwalls T-128s and the P-50 is one heck of an ambience.
Watching in slow motion it looks like there's 2 tornadoes at times
usually strong ef4s - ef5s most often have a multi-vortex like the Joplin Missouri ef5.
Looked like a satellite may have formed briefly
