The video was really cool; was not aware about any of these, actually. That Chakamon/Kumamon digivolution is cool. Way more fitting for it than Danpemon or whatever the popsicle penguin's called. I would absolutely be game for a part 2.

Things I still can't get over: Adventure Partners digimon don't having oficial armor evolutions The fact that some armor evolutions don't have a single piece of armor You having to ask if we want a part 2 ( of course we want!)
So QUETZALMON actually resembles what looks like a feasible evolution for CALUMON, the "digimon" that Impmon was antagonistic towards, sharing major colors, wing ears and star shaped crest on forehead. We saw that in tamers upon digivolving Impmon was able to take on some of the essence of someone he was antagonistic toward (Leomon) so there's precedent for this type of turn. Not to mention the digiegg of light resembles another feasible Calumon evolution Gatomon who's digivolutions are either armored creatures of light or winged long boy. Also Quetzalmon looks like a preevoloution to Impmon/Beezlemon's main foe in tamers Megidramon again sharing even more major colors as well as similar armor, shape and flame motif.
Part two would be awesome! You're more entertaining than just me going and reading it. Plus the insights you have and suggestions for design changes are great too!

I legit went into the madness and learned so many things that I was pissed at because they should've been in the show. It's really funny that you pointed out that the crest of light's digiegg brings a weird amount of aquatic digimon, as i've always seen my fave digimon, ancientmermaimon, as an ophanimon of the sea. Perhaps they have some ancient link?

The light armor digivolution of Impmom reminds me of the Joker Dragon from DC death metal. Which is hilarious to me since it's a dragon with a dark twisted sense of humor and yet, this light armor digimon makes me picture the Joker Dragon underneath all that armor with its twisted grin.
That Gabumon armor evolution... just goes to show that Digimon designers just pick any random Digimon to say "this will be the one who digivolves to my newest creation!"........
I had this old half-finished fan fiction where a Renamon was able to randomly armor evolve into Raidramon. No real explanation other than that that was something the Digivice she had could do. I kind of put armor as a level between champion and perfect. She used that power as a crutch until the others started unlocking their ultimates and she realized that the armor power couldn’t grow any further.
I looked at the wiki a while back and didn't notice some of these. Maybe they were added later or the chart is just too large for me to notice every single one. But honestly, wish we got more Armor Digivolution, but I guess it makes sense not to get them because they are ancient evolutions which are outclassed by basic evolutions with the exception of Magnamon and Golden Rapidmon.
One thing I'd like to note is that Armor Digivolution was originally designed with earlier dataforms in mind, and as such has become incompatible with many modern Digimon species. Only Digimon Species with a lineage dating back to Ancient Times have the residual Data to allow for an Armor Digivolution. This means in order for some of these evolutions to happen, complex situational events need to occur - often involving direct contact with either a Crest-related source, or with a Digimon that has the Ancient Species Data at the time of Digivolution. Both situations have been occurring in the recent episodes of Digimon Adventure 2020, with more likely to happen the way things are going...
The fact that Digimon don't have a predetermined evolution line and multiple species can become the same evolution is really odd to me. I grew up with the show and there are clear evolutionary lines drawn. There are key traits that show a relationship between stages. Then you get to the games and tcg it all goes out the window.
I still believe there should be more digi-armors based on different qualities and a lot more armor digivolutions. along with armor evolutions having a next stage to them, like veemon becomes flamedramon, then it evolves to metalflamedramon, finally becoming warflamedramon.
I would've put down money that one of Impmon's armor forms would've been Bucchiemon; I felt so sure! Shit, I'd argue Bucchiemon would make more sense as an Impmon armor form than a Wormmon one! and now that I'm thinking about it, it feels kind of fucking insane that we never saw the A02 kids somehow fuse their two digi-eggs into a single form. I dunno if I'll ever feel like we explored Armor digivolutions enough in 02 alone. I'd love to see them explore that idea again, feels like there's still tons of potential.
So, presumably since individual digimon of the same name each have their own personalities and memories...each instance of Flamedramon would be kind of a mix of the Flamedramon personality we know and the personality of their previous digivolution, right? Idk how much Digimon ever goes into what it's like to digivolve existentially, but it always seems like there's the memories and some of the personality of the previous level plus something new that's based on their new form.
I'm getting Digivice version Complete friday wooo but I still can't find a Vital Bracelet though . I won the battle but not war it's quite sad I'm looking for an D-3 15th anniversary and D-Terminal can't fine any though.

As a kid I drew a armor form for guilmon heavily based off of flamedramon but I had him on all fours for some reason but using the same egg. If I ever find that art again I’ll share it!! Or hell even remake it
Perhaps if animations are available to the digimon you display on the screen are available, you can put those up instead, it will make it look better than just data read from the wiki with their visuals.. just an idea, love the content still.

Something I've always found cool is Centaurmon can digivolve into Sagittarimon, a champion into an Armor form
