She released that over 10 years ago.

I always loved All I Want for Christmas and she deserves every accolade for it. It’s overplayed now which is a little sad for me because I can’t listen to it as much without getting sick of it. But Mariah is going to go down in history for writing a classic so it’s worth it.

I think it was just ahead of its time. It was always well received, but the way it swelled in popularity in the last 2010s, early 2020s is unprecedented. As newer generations discovered it for the first time they realized its a great song no matter when it came from.
