Guys I questioned the OC hire in the first place… I’m so much more disappointed in the coaching than the players! This play calling is pathetic, Hawkins did some really nice things, but he’s going to get hurt if he keeps playing like he played tonight. Prayers for Doby!!!
Yes! Littrell is low energy, uninspiring, lackadaisical, calls horrible games, has no imagination and has failed to improve in these areas at all! FIRE HIM
The big question…will BV fire his coaches who are ex OU players. Entire offensive staff has got to go
@@BradBradstreet-ug4iq I disagree! I think the 2 OC’s have to go, the game plans for all 4 games were a joke… and I want to win as bad as anyone but we can’t give up on JA! Last year we wanted to replace DG with Arnold all year long… seriously we’re ready to move on? What are we going to do when Hawkins struggles go to Casey Thompson??? I know we were spoiled with Baker, Kyler, and Jalen but all 3 of those guys were benched at their schools before they transferred to OU! Technically I think Baker got hurt and lost the job but come on Sooner fans give these kids a break! It would be different if the oline blocked at all, I think they’ve got to be one of the worst in college football or close! BV is just going to have to spend more money on the offensive line thats all there is to it!!! IMOP Boomer Sooner

That’s a coaching issue. Litrell needs to be fired, Finley isn’t the answer either.

There is no competition. Hawkins is the guy. Makes quicker reads, is faster and doesn't turn the ball over. This game was the evaluation and Hawkins is better.
read the defense really well and took care of the ball and made money throws for first downs to keep drives alive, gotta go with him and see this puppy run

@@johnj1765 Vols fan here. I honestly believe if Hawkins had started, which is irrelevant, the outcome of this game could have been different. But Heupel did rely on his defense for some of the offensive play calls. Pumping the brakes a little in the second half. Best challenge we have seen for sure. Playing field was terrible, seemed wet. OU w the long cleats lmao
I think he'll do well. Needs playing time.

Modern OU football makes me sorely miss the days when they were Bad to the Wishbone.
Simplify the offense by removing RPO’s stop running inside zone running schemes.
jackson made the wrong read in the read option game..not pretty...i hope hawkins can make the read and get thing going
Its night and day. Arnold just isnt the guy.
Def not a TD. His head hit ground inches before football crossed the line. The only crazy call is the backwards pass.

Jackson should never touch the football for OU again . Brent needs to find an OC asap . Defense is fantastic.
JA might come in as QB2 and do better. The pressure was killing him and now it's off. Now JA has something to prove which might help him.
love the sooner..im a duck fan...i feel your pain with bad o line play...we struggled against awful teams...hope OU turns it around and starts smacking some teams around...YOUR D IS ELITE

There's no competition. Hawkins came in, and after he settled in, he was able to move the ball and get two touchdowns. We've had four games of "evaluation" of Arnold.
With how our OL is performing right now, if we keep Hawkins as the starter, instead of running ball to set up the pass, we need to pass the ball, get them to sit back a little more expecting the pass, to open up the run a little more.
As a UT fan I thought it was a huge mistake to bench the QB in the 2nd qtr for the freshman against our defense. You destroyed any confidence Arnold had and put the freshman in a horrible position. At least give Arnold 1-2 possessions after halftime to see if he settled down during the half. Going to the freshman allowed us to play conservative on Offense as long we were still up two scores.
@@shag139 i said the same thing to my wife. To me that was OU blinking but the speedy freshmen might of been the better option against our dline. He basically saved 2 tfl with his legs. But def didn't see benching ur starter that soon.
I hear you but they have given JA chances over and over against subpar teams and he wasn't cutting it. There was no confidence left in JA after that first half. The Vols Defense was destroying him.

When you go to the backup and he plays significantly better than the starter, hes the QB until he plays as bad as the old starter did.

These guys have no idea what they are talking about. There is no QB competition this week. You can't have 3 really bad turnovers and expect to keep your job.
I'm pretty sure Hawkins is QB1 and I'm not prone to making coaching predictions, lol.

i stayed the whole. but sooner nation did not stay the whole night.
It was stupid to not go for two even after the penalty. 2pts makes it 11. Kicking the PAT made no difference if made or missed as you still needed two TD’s regardless. That was stupid on OU’s part.
Good front 7 and good fans. However that field was complete garbage and completely unacceptable for an SEC field. That was like high school crap out there. Fix it or the league office will be sending fines very soon. Oklahoma should be ashamed of the field crew.
This is also the best dline we will face the rest of the season.
OU will figure it out, the Vols are really good this year

@@pudintain9656 let's see what happens at Auburn first. I think Hawkins gets better the more time he gets. Our o-line is the worst I've seen in my 40+ years of following the team. Oue defense I believe is elite but they can't do it themselves.
Our offense is embarrassing, while we are trashing people, that wierd guy randal is horrible, he has a creepy smile when he isnt talking and when he is talking I wish he wasn't 😂
JA is being forced to run a RPO offense with a trash OL. R U serious!. That being said. Those Turnovers had nothing todo with the OL. 100% all him.
