    This color sure looks a lot different in your video than it does on the website. It looks a lot more blue in your video.
    I have this bike in the red/black and it is great so far. Aside from a number of creaks that set in after the first few rides (seat, suspension pivots and haedset) i have no issues. All creaks were easily solved by disassembling and re-greasing (very minimal grease from factory it seems on mine at least). This is my first 29er bike coming off of an older 26" FS bike and there is no comparison. I am very happy with it and very lucky to have found one still available here in Ontario. Hopefully supply is catching up elsewhere but around here bike shops are pretty empty still. Also I noticed this bike received a $400 price increase over the winter in Canada. Possible as a result of the supply crunch? Maybe?
    I upgraded the hub to 108 engagement and it is very nice. It is a bit on the noisy side after the upgrade though I must admit, but that is more of a personal preference thing.

    Hi James, I was so impressed with your review on the 2021 Trek Fuel GX, I looked on Facebook market place, luckily I found one,where the guy was looking to sell his, and get a rd bike.
    I had a Bianchi infinito from 2014, I was selling, we did a straight swap.
    I'm absolutely over the moon with my new steed, it's exactly like the one you reviewed. It's all down to you. Thank you so much. I'm subscribed, and watch ALL your videos. Thanks again. Andy. 👍

    Did he just say "Shimano guys?" Hahaha! I guess that tickled my toes!
    I consider myself, apparently, a 'Shimano guy.' I haven't used a bike with SRAM components as it's not ubiquitous here (i.e., where I'm located in the Philippines). So I have any words to say about SRAM.
    As per my experience, I have not had any huge problems with my bikes (e.g., Japanese bike, hardtail XC-trail MTB) with Shimano components. Just make sure that it's properly maintained so it will always work properly & smoothly.

    Maybe somone could help me out .... I just bought the XT version because I could't find a "CUBE STEREO 150".
    After a couple of weeks after I ordered the FUEL, the CUBE is available again. I ask myself if there is any reason to keep the FUEL EX? It costs 500 € more than the CUBE. It has just FOX rythm and this strange FOX RE:aktiv thing, which dies after some months. It has less suspension travel and weights more. And it seems, that the wheels are super weak. So why the hell should some buy the FUEL EX?

    • @Whachadoon
      @Whachadoon 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michaelmarcic9636 I mean trek has a bigger and more successful brand name than cube so they can charge more. Take a look at how successful trek bikes have been in cross country races and especially the Tour de France. You don’t really see a pro rider winning on a cube... I’m not sure why but that’s how it’s been.

    • @Whachadoon

      @Jamesthebikeguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I wish so too, but that really isnt reality. This isn't supported by anyone other than my LBS who allows me to check these bikes out. Past that especially in Pandemic times almost every bike I check out is sold before I video it, certainty not going to ride someone else' bike. Furthermore sizing is always a question this was a XXL and I ride a Medium, what kind of impressions will that provide? Finally you do see plenty of ride reviews when allows. Recently did one on a KBO bike that was sent to me. Because it wasn't pre-owned or needed to be sold as new on a showroom I did many miles on it to form a riding impression and footage in the video.
