I appreciate this message. I too gobbled up everything I could by Christian authors about marriage and intimacy prior to marriage. Very little of it seemed to help in my relationship. There’s a danger in giving general mass market advice to individuals with very specific identities, experiences, and temperaments. I also appreciate Pastor Chandler’s humility regarding his relationship and telling on himself but also speaking to the women as well. Outstanding message.
The Gospel is a scandalous story....Its the Good News = Romans 9:33. Its God centered, Christ centered, Cross centered and eschatological....For an innocent man, who knew no sin, to be made sin for us so that we may be made the righteousness of God in him (2 Corinthians 5:21) when we deserve all of God's wrath...is scandalous news.
Was it not repetitive enough? No hate, but I do not think that it was a leave out, but goes without saying again and again and again and again and again.
Because verse 21 is a different section of the chapter. 22 begins a new thought. 21 is on the though of church members one to another. Than verse 22 begins speaking about marriage.
Watching an online video of him preaching at Elevation Church led me here. His sermon was prophetic and on fire!
Yesssss this is a better sermon.. praise God He hears and sees. Tether to the Word . Praying brother ❤

I'm not so sure about using the word scandalous.

Conveniently left out verse 21 which is the beginning of this passage and tells both husband and wife to submit to one another.

28:42 says otherwise
This was a powerful message over the commands to both the husband and the wife. I am sorrowful that this is what you chose to comment about.
Something tells me you latched on to the “partnership” part
