- Dr. Jose Rizal is revered throughout the Philippines to the point that he has his own boulevard named after him. Of course, Rizal Boulevard is a popular tourist destination in Dumaguete for reasons other than its historical significance.
People visit the boulevard 24/7. Visitors can sit on chairs to watch the sun rise and boats enter and leave the harbor.
Rizal Boulevard is also ideal for families. During the day, families picnic, chat, and play guitar on the boulevard, or visit the restaurants and shops. It's near several Dumaguete attractions.
During festivals and holidays, there are parades, barbecues, and live music.
At night, visitors can walk the boulevard and enjoy city lights on the water. After a day of city sightseeing, the coastal breezes are calming.
For a less quiet night, Rizal Boulevard has various nightclubs and bars as well.
Rizal Boulevard has everything you need for a good experience, whether you're looking for a place to spend the afternoon with the family, a romantic place to take your date, or a place to go shopping, eat, and have fun.
