I have a crazy work flow. I use Beat Maker 3 on IOs, MPC X, FL studio and track vox in PT. I consider myself a minimilist but I have been able to eliminate any of the aforementioned in my workflow. My biggest challenge is that my Appollo doesn't work with IOS, and the Scarlett I have for my IPad sounds completely different than my Apollo. What does this have to do with a pro mix? A pro mix translates and sounds good on everything. The beat mix I thought I ever made on my scarlet sounded like crap on my other sound card. So I would say it's not as much as the tools as it is doing A,B, C, D, stereo/mono tests etc. To find the mix that translates the best across different mediums. Something I still struggle with. I like the way the plugin Master Plan let's you try different references. I can't wait for what AI has in store to tackle those types of issues.

Diversifying the genres would really help when it comes to thinking about pop influences .

I don't install any AAX to save space. I can always install it later anyways if one day I wanna mess around with Pro Tools instead of FL Studio.
