It is one of the happiest times I've ever spent in Aberdeen in my 48 years here. I've never forgotten it.

I was 11 on that historic day and will have got a half day at school. Really sad to say i don't recall anything about the match or the celebrations. Gutted about that. Didn't take an interest in footy till 85'. As a season ticket holder I have been through many years of suffering and watching this video brings a tear to my eye. I just wish i had memories of it all.. Thank you Jimbo.

Wish I could have been there ... 15 years old and at school with exams looming and no money! Watched intently on TV, however. It will never happen again, I don't believe. Should show the entire game to the current Scottish Cup Flops in the recent game v Motherwell, a very mediocre outfit (that's in in SPL terms). Losing interest fast after having regained some since 2013. Brilliant!!

Try again Numpty, In the second leg at Pittodrie Stadium, after a 0-0 result in Hamburg, Aberdeen added their second European trophy with a 2-0 victory over West German team Hamburg with goals coming from Mark McGhee and Neil Simpson. Aberdeen became the first and only Scottish football club Scottish team to win the UEFA Super Cup.

Aberdeen FC the only Scottish club to win 2 European trophys Scotlands 2nd most successful club in Europe after Celtic European cup win in Lisbon 1967 and Aberdeen are the only Scottish team to have played in the European super cup final they went on to win that to become the only Scottish to have 2 European trophys

No but we went on to beat the European cup winners, making us the kings of Europe. Deservedly so after besting Bayern ,madrid then the European champions.
We won both European Super cup, and the Cup winners cup no other Scottish football club has won two European trophy's, note we do not play in Europe every single season Celtic do and Rangers to a slightly lesser extent as they were thrown out of the league and relegated to the lowest Scottish league.
