Giles Henderson's Clipped Wing Cub

This iconic Piper Cub featuring a shorter wingspan, known as a Clipped Wing Cub, was once owned by famed aerobatic pilot Giles Henderson. Giles was regarded as one of the premier grassroots airshow pilots in North America. Giles' reputation of being nationally known in aerobatic competition and precision flying had earned him honors such as being inducted into the International Aerobatic Club Hall of Fame in 2012 and the EAA Sport Aviation Hall of Fame in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He also held recognition as a member of the Aerobatic Club of America and the Mid America Sport Parachute Club. He made the cover of the January 2013 issue of Sport Aerobatics magazine and was the subject of a featured article.
Giles passed away in December 2017 following a skydiving accident. The aircraft was purchased from his estate in 2018 and now resides in southern New Jersey and as of 2019, is available as an comedy airshow act featuring pilot Jason Flood. The aircraft is featured here in this video in a short flight over the Cross Keys Airport.
