This is but one example of the game's possibilities - a chase. But GeneSeekers must also re-fuel adjacent to suns, use wormholes to outrun opponents and travel to mysterious planets or explore the passageways of outpost ruins - And all for the scraps the Synd hand out to the GeneSeekers who throw away their short lives looking for the Nebulus gene - so that the evil Synd can enjoy longer lives in a war-ravaged, wasteland galaxy of cloned, future humanity.
