Since Wooyoung promised Yeosang they would debut together, he followed Yeosang to KQ when Yeosang left BigHit.
And Hongjoong is the boy that Seonghwa's director in his school keeps telling him about, and literally made him motivate more. The Fate and Destiny in ATEEZ are something else.
They are known as one of the very best dance groups in K-pop , and they're also known for stage presence, and having the best main vocalist is the 4th generation. This group is top tier and is part of the top 5 most popular 4th generation K-pop boy groups. Keep in mind they aren't from a big and rich company like the other top groups, so it's more impressive in my humble opinion
4 of the members of Ateez were friends before they joined the group. Yunho and Mingi were friends and Yeosang and Wooyoung were friends. All 8 of them are exceptional dancers and very good singers and rappers so their company really lucked out with them.
Koreans thought and still think Ateez are a dance crew because of these releases. I love that Jongho-the main vocalist centers dance 2 and 3. It’s rare for a main vocalists to be this skilled.

As others mentioned these 3 performances were created pre-debut. They trained in LA at Millennium Dance Complex for a month and these 3 performances were choreographed by members of top dance crews at the time, The first performance was choreographed by King Guttah who is the cofounder of the dance crew the GoodFellas, Second performance was choreographed by Melvin Timtim, founder of S-Rank and the last performance was also choreographed by Melvint Timitm and Mikey DellaVella who is also a member of S-Rank which is why the performances have the feel of a seasoned dance crew.
No wonder I love the dancing.I didn’t live far from Good Fellas and would see them dance with my friends.My friends also know Melvin and I love his dancing as well.I also had a Good Fellas shirt hehe
The thing that always kills me is remembering San saying KQ were thinking of not debuting him, because he didn't have the dance experience the others did. He was listed as just a vocalist for the longest time. To think upcoming idols & professional dancers are now viewing his fancams to imitate & learn how to be so charismatic on stage. He's a demon of a dancer & leaves whatever stage he's on in flames.

You should definitely watch more of their funny vids to get to know them more. You should also watch their Kingdom performances!! They did such an amazing job with those stages as well- all groups did tbh.

The second and third piece is choreographed by Melvin TimTim and in my opinion, nobody can move like him but Ateez was spot on. I’ve never seen anything like it.
All kpop industries make idol groups and they learn how to sing, dance and act. I would look at other idol groups just to see that they all are amazing dancers and this is life for them. And they are all amazing. There is Exo, Monsta X, seventeen, Astro, nct, and pentagon

you should definitely either check out their dance practices or live performances of their songs! guerrilla and halazia are their most recent releases, with guerrilla's choreography being pretty hard hitting and halazia's being really aesthetically pleasing to the eye. they have members in the group a part of the "demon-line," a fan-made title for members who get "possessed" when they get up on stage to perform. the members are: hongjoong, seonghwa, and san (from woosan). although, ESPECIALLY with the recent comeback halazia, ALL the members have shown potential to just name ateez as an entirety as the "demon-line." san is kind of the more known/popularized member in the demon-line because of social media and how far he pushes his body during live performances, however, all the other members are equally as great performers.
Fun Fact: Just so you know their entertainment company (KQ Entertainment) sent all of them to LA for a month of Dance training (at Millennium Dance studio) in the Summer of 2018 / they debut as Ateez in October 2018 . I first noticed them from these 3 covers & though that they were the South Korean dancers from America Got Talent / not then but definitely now I can recognize each of the members in these covers. And yes I do believe that they do share one brain cell cause not only are the talented they are also very funny. The 2 oldest members were born in 1998 / 5 members were born in 1999 and the youngest was born in 2000 - I don't know if that helps with their chemistry or if KQ Entertainment had them go through some sort of bonding exercises while they went through training before their debut. But you can tell that all 8 are VERY close to each other. They definitely have natural born talent but they also #1.) WORK VERY HARD/ #2.) have a company that supports them and takes care of them (especially mentally) and #3.) They have great producers, stylists and choreographers. Although 2018-2019 was their "Rookie" year a lot of people thought they were at least 3 years in.
