Just to let y'all know, during their first world tour back in 2019, they performed the first dance performance as part of their special dance segment of the concert. And, because of that performance, "Bad B*tch Puerto Rican" became an unofficial, but HILARIOUS ATINY fanchant!! 😂😂
The Cardi B one was choreographed by Melvin Timtim from S Rank. He’s a beast. And they did it justice cuz his stuff very stylized and weighted. It’s not easy to make it look right. They did a good job 🔥
These videos went viral. Pre-debut when half of them went to film Mingi giving free hugs, a woman came up and said "I know you!" They were a bit incredulous until she started doing the hammer dance. As she left, she told Wooyoung that he was her bias. When they returned to their dorm and told the others San thought they were lying 😂. Thanks for sharing these reactions.
Thanks for sharing that with them. The other boys were in disbelief when they were told at the dorm tt a foreigner recognised them on the streets, from tt performance video. I could have bn tt foreigner 😂 except tt I've nvr travelled to S Korea and I didn't know them pre-debut but well, she did represented my ppl
They already made a name for themselves even before receiving a name. They are known as the King of Performances for a reason. It's not just the dancing and choreo, but also the singing and song arrangement. You'll see once you start venturing into Kingdom. You probably have a full playlist of Ateez recommendations to cover, but if there's still space, their Immortal Songs performances are also legendary. Trust me I was blown away too.
The best about dance 2 is center Jongho-not every group has a main vocalist who can easily dance center. Jongho has to conserve energy when singing but he never has to be hidden in the back.
Dude, I was trying see y'all react to the 3rd dance video! LOL. But yeah. Ateez were killers when it comes to dance before they ever debuted. The first time I watched those KQ Fellaz videos I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. They just never looked or felt like Rookies at all. I'm still wondering how KQ trained them to be that good before they even debuted. It's crazy.
♡ ugh..................my heart. I almost threw my computer I got so excited seeing that you finally saw these. THANK YOU for sharing some of it here! These performances are what made me just go crazy for Ateez finding these performances first after hearing 10 seconds of "The Leaders" that they used in the intro to their "The Real" Kingdom performance LOVING their song choices, Hongjoon produced the track they used for III. omg omg love you guys! ♡
Fun fact: many atiny attribute Ateez's international fanbase to have formed due to these performances as they have trained in LA at millennium dance complex to learn from amazing American dancers... It allowed them to gain fans from not only their dancing skills but also their vibes (some thought Ateez was supposed to be a hip hop dance group rather than an idol group, which is incorrect... they were always meant to be an idol group, but it goes to show how great their skills were!) Anze Skrube publicly supports Ateez and even choreographed some of their original choreography (Say My Name for example) but in the beginning, however, Ateez had to choreograph their own dances (EX: Pirate King was like 80%~ choreographed by Seonghwa and Wooyoung made the beginning part), Hongjoong thinks up a lot of the ideas for the vibe or concept of their dances, and Yunho of course does so much to teach and refine their choreo (this was before they gained their own backup dance group BBTrippin who help lighten the load of creating the choreography.) i lied a bit in the last paragraph bc i just found out that BBtrippin has always been with seven seasons (BlockB’s management) aka a branch of KQ and the replies clear it up a bit!
I don't think what you are saying happened in the order you are saying it. BBTripping has always been Ateez dance crew and mentors before debut. They're Kq's dance crew. They worked with block b before Ateez.
The BB in BB Trippin stands for Block B, ATEEZ's seniors. If you watch their pre-debut series, Code Name is ATEEZ, members of BB Trippin pre-evaluated the choreo they created for Growl. I think having them choreograph things was more for skill building.

I'm an ARMY before I know ATEEZ (still do it until now) and at that time there's no other boy group that can make me attracted to them beside BTS, I felt like it was so difficult to stan another group because I didn't feel as excited as I'm with BTS and I'll get bored in a short time, like I don't know why, maybe they just didn't pass my vibe(?).. then one day fireworks showed up on my TH-cam home page and BOOM!!! I'm an ATINY until hongjoong can grow 185 cm tall :)
