The plastic hose coupling that goes into the engine block you had pointed out @ 00:20. Difficulty here finding just that part. Should we find just that part. Good to go.

hi i have a 2010 3.2 im leaking a lot of coolant from somewhere behind that oil cooler....any ideas? its definitely not coming from the upper radiator hose or the one next to it...maybe the gasket/orings on the oil cooler?

Good day Art how did you replace the first coolant hose ? I just purchased the hose. I didn’t get the bolt because it must’ve broken off it was never there. Please help.

Ryan R. (2011) 3.2 L Serpentine belt and water or (coolant) pump has good info if you haven't already done the work.

Thank you for your video. I have 2009 XC70, 3.2 non turbo like yours. I have small leak, after watching your video , I will have to replace all coolant hoses. I have 196k miles, I am debating is my radiator needs a replacement. How old /miles your XC90?

Hi , really enjoyed watching this . I am in the process of changing some of my hoses and was wondering , the hose that comes from the water pump how does it come off at the water pump end ? I have disconnected the bottom section regular hose clamp , removed the other hose that connects to the radiator , I was going to wait until my new hose to be delivered before attempting this as i didn't want to break anything . Good luck with the water pump , I have seen videos on that and is probably worth doing the serpentine belt at the same time . Thanks again Dave.

David Fryer sorry for the late reply. That hose is a steel type from the pump all the way to the front of engine where the “T” is at. So that section wasn’t replaced.

In regards to the first, small coolant hose that you replaced, that goes into the engine block. Does the O-ring go on the end of the plastic piece or does it go into the block first. Mine was also in pieces so I'm not sure. I installed it on the plastic piece but the coolant still leaked from there.

I know im late but did you ever figure this out? Im having the same problem. Also the OE part came with a flange ring that pops off. not sure that's for shipping protection.

I'm sorry, but I can't remember what I ended up doing. I don't even remember making this comment.

At the beginning of the video you were talking about your original problem being the plastic fitting on your engine block. I have the same fitting broken on my lr2. Am having trouble finding a replacement. Could you please tell me what that fitting is called and where you purchased it? Thanks

    Hello,
    Please help!
I have a bizarre overheating on my 08 volvo xc90 with no visible leak and no head gasket blown! There's no heat inside the car too!
The coolant coming out of the coolant reservoir only when overheated...
I took it to volvo, they kept it for 7 days and gave it back to saying it's going to cost $5,000+ better scrap the car or change the upper engine block cause the coolant is leaking thru the exhaust...
I went to another mechanic who said there's no link between coolant hose & exhaust, he advised me to change the water pump (a guess or not?)...
Was it the same kind of overheating you experienced or else? What do you advise me? Could that be a hidden hose?
I will really appreciate your prompt reply because I already bought a water pump + serpentine belt & have scheduled a mobile mechanic for $400 job... Thanks! Kind regards!
