Wise words from Wes ✔️ At my college, there’s a wide variety of ages from 18-60; either people getting their degrees or getting second degrees. I usually hang out with people older than me, and they tend to forget I’m younger until they ask 🤷🏻♀️😅 Additionally, I do public health teaching at a high school……seeing kids with hormones running around is already making me uncomfortable
martian_marzan lol I'm the same way! I've always hung out with older people, rarely anyone younger than me or my own age 😂 I can hang out with my mom and her friends, it it won't be as awkward for me compared to other people lol
Also damn this vid made me feel young 😂. Born in 2003 and the only disney thing i watched when i was younger (that was mentioned) was high school musical
I'm one day younger than Wes. I was hoping you'd touch on this subject. This feeling that we're not young any more but not old, another kind of in-between. And I get Philip if he's still holding on to his CD collection. I watched Dark Angel.
I had never thought about the perspective of having different age group friends... Wes is so wise. Growing up, wongfu was always my inspiration. I recently started posting some videos on my channel, so I was wondering if you guys could stop by and check it out! If not, thanks for taking the time to read this comment. Have a great day!
some great insights there, i think. i'm 77 years old and my entire adult life i've been closely involved with teens and young adults, who to this day enlighten and energize me. living in the 626 is a mega boost.
I'm 27 now, so I guess I feel old due to some things taking a toll on my health where I didn't have before, trying to figure out how to maintain a house, bills, setting a schedule/plans. Young, the fact that sometimes I have to teach my old soul boyfriend who is literally less than 2 years older than me how to do technology, lol. I don't know if this is everyone, but I still have a rebellious spirit since I was a kid.
I totally relate to your comment! I'm 27 too and still have a rebellius spirit and I also daydream a lot. I like the fact that some part of me is still the same (:
unwrittenkf | Outside of my weight gain, my face still seems to fool a lot of people. I used to work at a retail store and I said I was building a portfolio to graduate in SEPTEMBER, and they still asked what high school am I going to. I was graduating from an art college for my Bachelor's Degree ._.
Can someone quote Wes right now. Omg my heart was sooo hit. That was deep though. "Make friends not your age because you can gain something from that." That is so true! Because the more your friends with people slightly older than you , you gain that sense of wisdom from them and they helped you with your journey in life.
I just turned 27, and absolutely nothing in the past two years has made me feel more confident in myself or enjoy my life more. my body is physically breaking down already no matter how much I try to eat right, or get enough sleep, or stretch and work out in smart consistent ways. I can't do any of the things that I used to be able to do, and I've become pessimistic and anti-social. and it's really easy to get locked down into an unfulfilling job, especially if you're getting paid really well. I need the money right now, but it's not making me happy
What makes me feel old: Being 27 and knowing that 30 is just around the corner. 😧 Freaks me out honestly... What makes me feel young: My baby face? hahahahhaha and my hobbies.
There are two forms i n Switzerland to salute people on the streets: A simple "hallo" if you meet someone around the same age or someone you know. The polite form is "Grüezi" which you use just for ppl you don't know/ ppl who are in a higher position at work/ older ppl. So if a kid says "Grüezi" to me, i feel old
I'm not gonna lie, Wong Fu makes me feel kind of old because I discovered this channel in its earliest stages back when I was like 7 or 8. I always get so nostalgic about that part of my life since it symbolized innocence and childhood, as I'm now a teenager and going through the motions. But when I compare myself to other kids around my age or in my generation, that makes me feel hella old. Seeing all these sensational and prodigy-like kids who've accomplished so much more than me or have actually made a change in the world makes me realize that a lot of people are being way more successful at SUCH A YOUNG AGE. Also, I've been told by others that I'm "mature" for my age, so I'm constantly flip-flopping between feeling like an elderly grandma and a stupid adolescent. Loved the video, though, and as always Wes' metaphor is on par :)
I have been watching More Wong Fu for a bit now and I really appreciate what you guys do and the things you all embrace. And Wes, wow your brain is beautiful and awesome, you're just so thoughtful. Thank you.
What makes me feel old is that I made a lot of underclassmen friends this year, which is my senior year in high school and they were all registering for classes for next year. They would talk about it and then at some point, will look at me, with sad puppy eyes, saying they don’t want me to leave. They make me feel old and feel young at the same time. I’m able to guide them and help them with school since I’ve been there, done that. By being around them, I can see the world through their perspective, while still feeling slightly more knowledgeable.
I feel old even though I'm 18. I turned 18 last year on Black Friday and I did absolutely nothing. 😅 I sat at home doing homework.....no party, no cake, nada
Same... I feel old even though I’m only 19. maybe that’s because when ur 18 you’re legally an adult. And I honestly cry on the inside whenever I realize I’m an adult now
I never have a party, haha. Sometimes my friends insist, but most years it's just being thankful + one or two presents from immediate family. And I'm 24 next month. To be fair though, my friends and I are what you call: skint broke XD
i don't know if this makes me feel old or young but for me, the best part of growing up is witnessing how the people around you is growing (e.g. this community)
For me, I’ve recently been feeling old while talking with one of my friends, we were talking about music and shows/movies. I grew up listening to ABBA, The Bee Gees, Journey, Queen, Earth, Wing and Fire, Men at Work, etc. And it was shocking for me that she didn’t know these groups; the weird part is that she is older than me (I’m 19). So I’ve gain the reputation of living under a rock for not being up to date with trends or music although I’m always the younger one anywhere.
I grew up playing the Nintendo NES and now Nintendo has so many new products out. I remember when i couldn't get the game to work you blew in it and then put it back into the system. I had a part of the NES console break and we called the number on the back of the system, and the guy who answered said they stopped making parts for the system like 10 years ago (we called in like 2006)
I LOVE being my early twenties! You can teach old people new stuff and still be considered "hip" but at the same time, you're not a kid so you still have a lot to teach kids too! Gonna suck when I'm ancient, like 33 or something.
something that makes me feel old: I started figure skating in 3rd grade, and at the ice rink I work at, I interact with a lot of kids that have been alive for a shorter amount of time than I've been skating things that make me feel young: I was born in 2001, so I don't really have any legal rights, can't sign up for certain things, and one of my favorite TH-cam musicians (samurai guitarist) has been playing guitar for longer than I've been alive
I totally relate to Jenn! I feel so degraded when older people take my emotions lightly and they all tell me that "it's just a phase." I think I'm hitting that age where I'm starting to now understand how temporary everything is but geez... Let me experience it first!
What makes me feel old... a good movie, cause even if I cry, my emotions are under control, haha. It's pretty cool. What makes me feel young... .... ..... laughing, I guess. Like, legit, that's what does it for me.
It makes me feel old when I haven't seen a nephew in a while, and seeing how much they've grown since the last time I saw them....or hearing they're in high school....or graduating university
I feel old since i went to college where a lot of my friends are 1-4 years younger than me. Yea the gap wasnt that crazy but even within years, I cant cope with everything. I was so behind with current trends at one point & try to learn from them. A lot of them also have different perspective and approach about adulting & life in general which i rarely found in my friends who are the same age as me. Without that being said, I do feel younger when I hang around with friends my age because I know current trends etc. lol anyway....i agree with what Wes said 1000% though, "Make friends with people not your own age, because u can only gain from that."
what makes me feel old is that i first watched megan when she was still a teen, and then got to know jenn on this channel as a recent college graduate.....but they're around the same age yet i still see megan as a young teenager...LOL does that even make sense AHHA
This lunch break was so good that when Jen started talking about leaving a comment I was like, "What it's over it just started!" Today's show was very entertaining.
I feel old when I tell people I used to have a VHS race car rewinder for the video cassette tapes. That and having to fix game cartridges by blowing into it.
I wouldn't say there's much that makes me feel old, because I'm genuinely not too concerned about getting "older." I've already got plenty of gray hairs (1 1/2 weeks shy of 22 years old) and love them. I mostly just find it annoying to see all the Facebook reposts and stuff like "this came out __ years ago! feel old yet?!" posted by people still in high school like...chill! y'all aren't old! Phil is so right about younger people acting like they're the first to grow old...😂
I feel like the universe is conspiring today to make me feel old. First the FBE and now you guys... and then Im turning 26 in a couple of weeks T.T (Thank you Wes for those words of wisdom)
What makes me feel old: younger people (especially with laundry lists of accomplishments already), remakes/reboots, the calendar, memes telling me how long ago some of my favorite things came out What makes me feel young: other people struggling with newer shows, slang, and whatnot while I already know about it; travel; being able to touch my toes (flexibility) lol

I feel old when all the old shows come on that i thought where scary. I remember the Scooby-Doo movie where the monsters took over the island(?) and I was scared of the movie. Now I watch it and laugh. Also Teen titans use to be the cool anime series and now its Teen Titans Go and its a weird anime
I was talking with one of my Youth Group students at church. She was in her phase of getting a permit for driving. As we were talking, she said that she needed someone over the age of 25 to be with her when she practices. She then asked me. I declined and said, "Oh, I"m not old enough too.". BUT THEN I realized.... I'm a decade and a half older than her... I'm old..enough now...
Wes, Phil, you guys and I are "parent" aged now, that makes me feel pretty wisened 😅 however I do enjoy this time. It seems calmer than my twenties and I definitely enjoy myself more!
The wise wise Wes has returned!

hmmmm.....did something go wrong during rendering? 4:17
Yep. I went blind for a split second
i thought a ghost was coming to get me.
...or five nights at freddies
I thought something DDLC was happening and scared the shit out of me
I think it was Chris, the ghost of Christmas past
Blade Runner
I feel old when I actually think about my age and how I'm going to be 23 this year. WHERE DID THE TIME GO?! nakakaloka haha
Damn wes that ending hit me right in the feels that was deep and right on point.
(Korean) Running Man! 😄👏🏻
화이팅~! On The Voice, Megan!

6:55 my life has changed for the better after witnessing that edit
Wes is going to be 34 in less than 6 weeks... WHAT EVEN?!
WHAAAAA
REALLY?? Wes looks younger than he actually is to me haha!
At 49, I'm loving this conversation! I've "been there", am there, and yet to "be there". Love you all at Wong Fu!

'Lunch break' is a great series of videos. Always fun and entertaining.
i feel young when people think I'm younger than my actual age :')

THURSDAY IS MY FAVORITE DAY BC OF WONG FU!!!!💕💕
i don't know if this makes me feel old or young but for me, the best part of growing up is witnessing how the people around you is growing (e.g. this community)
I’m 23 now and I’m cringing. I feel so old and unaccomplished. Mostly cuz there are 18 year olds around me building orphanages and starting charities.
same.
I'm 23 too, I feel your pain, like, really really feel it.
me too, it's really depressing
Ditto. Halfway through a master's degree with no idea what's to come afterwards. 😕
yeah i feel the same way.
Invite Ryan higa
I subscribed to WongFuProductions 10 years ago. That makes me feel old.
I don't make enough money to feel old, so that makes me feel young 😂
Haha I like this one 😂😜
What makes me feel old? Listening to these four talking about what makes them feel old and finding it so relatable. The only problem I’m not even 22.
I know something that will make heaps of you guys feel old... I am one of the 2000 born people.... Started uni this year !!! :D
For me, I’ve recently been feeling old while talking with one of my friends, we were talking about music and shows/movies. "Growing up is so fun" it is, megan. But growing old, is not.
This reminded me of Ryan Higa and the first videos he made...he's "evolved" lol
I LOVE being my early twenties! You can teach old people new stuff and still be considered "hip" but at the same time, you're not a kid so you still have a lot to teach kids too! Gonna suck when I'm ancient, like 33 or something.
They just gave themselves a new video idea!💚
i really like wes' sweater!
I just got invited to my friend’s 70th birthday party today! It’s nice to have friends of all ages 😊
awwww. I still remember her and her sister from "Nice Girls". Justin Chon was hilarious in it!!
what makes me feel young : my parents trying to explain the concept of pagers to me and me being hopelessly confused
Wes, there IS a movie where time is currency. In Time starring Justin Timberlake
Omg. I feel Wes. He's only a year older than I am. And I'm the younger sibling as well. 😂❤
There's something very satisfying about watching them eat...
something that makes me feel old: I started figure skating in 3rd grade, and at the ice rink I work at, I interact with a lot of kids that have been alive for a shorter amount of time than I've been skating
things that make me feel young: I was born in 2001, so I don't really have any legal rights, can't sign up for certain things, and one of my favorite TH-cam musicians (samurai guitarist) has been playing guitar for longer than I've been alive
Clicks on video, pauses video, goes and makes lunch, comes back and has lunch while watching lunchbreak
perf
Watching Wong Fu 10+ year laters and finding this topic makes me feel old
Finding out when video games were released makes me feel old (also nice Blade Runner joke there)
Old - High School Musical
Young - My driving 😄
I totally relate to Jenn! I feel so degraded when older people take my emotions lightly and they all tell me that "it's just a phase." I think I'm hitting that age where I'm starting to now understand how temporary everything is but geez... Let me experience it first!
What makes me feel old... a good movie, cause even if I cry, my emotions are under control, haha. It's pretty cool.

It makes me feel old when I haven't seen a nephew in a while, and seeing how much they've grown since the last time I saw them....or hearing they're in high school....or graduating university
You guys should do a Lunch Break with Anna Akana! ❤️❤️
Meeting people who look older than me and they're barely out of high school makes me feel old & happy that I so get genes

The thumbnail made me think it was a skit :(
God bless Lunch break, this series really makes my Thursdays :)
I feel like the universe is conspiring today to make me feel old. First the FBE and now you guys... and then Im turning 26 in a couple of weeks T.T (Thank you Wes for those words of wisdom)
wow... wes' age/currency analogy is brilliant. i'm going to quote that a lot. thanks for sharing
I enjoyed Wes’ words of wisdom
What makes me feel old: younger people (especially with laundry lists of accomplishments already), remakes/reboots, the calendar, memes telling me how long ago some of my favorite things came out
What makes me feel young: other people struggling with newer shows, slang, and whatnot while I already know about it; travel; being able to touch my toes (flexibility) lol
Watching u guys makes me feel young!!
What makes me feel old: my 18th birthday was yesterday. What makes me feel young my 18th birthday was yesterday.
Bay watch and Running man!!!👵🏾😭😭
omg that pullover Wes is wearing looks so futuristic!

My new-potential-wongfu-full-of-feels-shorts is tingling 🙃🙃
I want Jen to show everyone at WFP the high school musical trilogy and discuss about it! Pleaseeeeee
WHEN WAS SAID BLADE RUNNER I GOT HAPPY BECAUSE I WAS THINKING THE EXACT SAME THING
thanQ
Wow! I've never seen your videos right after you uploaded it! I'm so glad you guys made a video about this topic. I think about this kind of stuff all the time! My brother is only 5 years younger than me and he already make me feel old when he knows trends and memes before me lol
‘Wise words with Wes’
I always feel old when I'm going to work and I realise that I'm not the youngest in the team. While they are talking about parties, all I can think about is my wine in the fridge and my blanket. (And yes, my facebook is full of newborn babies and weddings.)
Wes just hits you with the deep stuff at the end. Very very wise
Makes me feel old when I see how long ago some Wongfu shorts came out, expecting that they just came out last year. Eg. After Us came out in 2014....OMGGGGG. That’s when I first went into university and now I’m almost finished with my degree

Phil's not THAT old..
I'm with Phil on the peacefulness of waking up without any baby-related noises
Hey that's true! Chokers were in fashion when I was a kid... In the seventies!
I'm probably one of the older audiences watching More Wong Fu.
Gen X reppin'!
Wes' wise words about wisdom were super wise #wesception
Wes and his wise sayings 💛 😂
I was talking with one of my Youth Group students at church. She was in her phase of getting a permit for driving. As we were talking, she said that she needed someone over the age of 25 to be with her when she practices. She then asked me. I declined and said, "Oh, I"m not old enough too.". BUT THEN I realized.... I'm a decade and a half older than her... I'm old..enough now...
literally thought something went wrong with my computer at 4:17 lolol but you guys should do a lunch break with Jason Chen next!!
I felt old when I realized that I'm older than everyone in this video. And when I go to shows and only want to arrive for the headliner.
Thank you for the reminder Phil! Turning 27 next week :p
YAY
Wes, why'd you have to remind me that I'm turning 18 this year, life's too fast
i like your jacket, phil!
Wes is so wise!
I chew my food, but I feel like Wes truly masticates like a cow 2:49 Enjoying every moment.
Wes, Phil, you guys and I are "parent" aged now, that makes me feel pretty wisened 😅 however I do enjoy this time. It seems calmer than my twenties and I definitely enjoy myself more!
Can you do a lunch break with d-trix please!!!
Lunch Break crew, listen to this! I feel like we've been asking since the beginning of this show, haha.
Surprising that they haven't had either D-Trix, David Choi, or Ryan Higa yet on Lunch Break considering those are some of their oldest TH-cam friends.
