PHILIPPIANS 1-4 "In Chains for Christ"

Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.

Thank you once again for continuing to share Jehovahs word. I never really understood it before but know I've heard it, I realised that Paul was saying that he had every reason to boast in the life that he led because he was a pure Jew and was faultless according to their law. But he was shown that none of that really mattered and instead, he boasted in Jesus Christ and in God. And its like in your last video of Galatians he said that the law cannot make you righteous but only faith can. I think thats what it says.

That's absolutely right. Paul went from a respected Pharisee to a persecuted Christian who had nothing to gain and everything to lose in the eyes of the world, yet he knew that by faith in Christ that he was gaining something far greater than human approval.

@@theromanbaron Appreciate it! all glory be to God! I’m using the NIV narrated by David Suchet. Not the one I’d personally recommend for study but a very easy to understand version with a wonderful narration.

@@Dead_Men_Come_Alive if I may recommend, I am unsure if you’re catholic, but the Douay Rhemis, or Confraternity Text is the optimal text for the Church, and the only ones given a promise of infallible text. Anyways, God bless you again!

Absolutely! It’s a narration by David Suchet, you can listen to it on the NIVUK translation on the Bible app or NIV on Bible gateway. Also if you’re interested in making videos of your own, I use Shotcut for editing and OBS for recording and that’s basically it. Let me know if you have any questions.
