Blackpink gets a lot of hate aswell them being the biggest Girl group in the world and also the most subscribed music group in the world currently has no exception to that..One of the member Jennie had to go through so much hate and she had panic attacks during public appearances...the other members were taking care of her...there are alot of such clips..Lisa had to go through Racism cause she is from Thai and she gets paid x7 times lower than other members..But their label(YG) took care of her by offering her Moonshot and Nonagon modeling contracts since pre-debut times..the only problem with their label is that they dont give them alot of comebacks for a 3 year old group with just 13 songs + 3 additions songs + remixes..... but when they have a comeback its a 100% hit.......Girl Groups dont easily get success like the opposite gender in kpop....This was also shown in the video when the members were talking about lisa at her home town that they will take care of her...They dont have a full album yet despite being the biggest girl group and a very huge and loyal fan base...they are expected to have one in the early 2020 which was postponed from this november 2019....
Lol Lisa get paid less but not 7x 😆😆 The difference is very less.

@@Itachi-ld2rg No.. Every Korean entertainment company do this.. Sorn (CLC's Thai member) talked about it before.. She, along with Elkie (from Hongkong), was paid almost 6x less than the other members and it's because certain South Korean laws.. So pretty sure Lisa, Bambam, Tzuyu and other foreign idols experience this..
All non-Korean k-pop idols make less because of tax laws.

Great to see fellow Brits reactions to Blackpink. I think that the more you discover about them, the more you will love them. There is lots and lots of content available, including live band performances, solo dance videos from Lisa, reality shows, tv appearances, solo videos of Jisoo, Jennie, and Rose and lots more. Everyone is excited because it was confirmed today that Blackpink are busy recording new material for comeback early in the new year.

Every kpop idol experienced the harsh training before debuting and are still training even after debut.. What I hate about some fans is that they love to blow up trainee stories of groups from small companies but blatantly ignore those from groups from big companies (Blackpink is from a big company) saying they didn't really worked hard and everything was just handed to them on a silver platter.. It's true that debuting in a small company will make it harder for idols to be famous but let's not forget the fact that debuting in a big company means more pressure on the idols because: 1. the shoes that the have to fill in is bigger. They face higher expectations and are expected to continue the legacy of their senior artists.. People actually call them failures if they don't achieve certain things.. 2. They get automatically hated just by being part of that company.. 3. They are always being watched by media.. Certain issues of idols from big companies are always blown way out of proportion..
For a three year old group, BLACKPINK is under promoted.. Meaning they are given waaaayyy less than other groups.. They don't even have a full album and some rookie groups have more songs than them..

The numbers with the letter D represented days prior to their debut on August 8, 2016. The numbers started in the thousands as in thousands of days before debut. It's hard for their fans to fathom the thought of a group with so much popularity from the outset to be given only 5 songs in their first two years. Their agency is so slow when it comes to releasing any BlackPink material. In their third year, they finally released a four song mini-album that included Ddu-Du-Ddu-Du.
With just 9 songs, they still were able to perform a one hour show at Coachella, garnering the most attention and hype despite being a primarily non-English act. Also, they completed a world arena tour in four different continents, selling out in cities like Los Angeles, Newark/New York, Chicago, Paris, London, Tokyo, Sydney, and so on. They did all this initially with just 9 songs. That truly is phenomenal.
I still cannot believe how hard they had to work....I hope their Record Label looks after them properly!
I think they have more than 9 songs xD they begin the world tour with 9 songs but now they have 13 songs + kiss and make up and Jennie's solo
@@GeeksofMucklebee they had 13 songs + dua lipa x Blackpink collab song + jennie solo thats a total of 15 songs when they performed at coachella...for their first ever Arena world tour everything was packed .....They are having a japan Dome tour on next wednesday Dec 4 and each show is expected to hold 55k - 59k audience and its all sold out instantly....its 4 different tour dates and a total of 220k audience.

They started the tour with 9 songs. 11 if you want to count Kiss and Make Up and Solo. The other 4 songs were released 4 months after the tour started. Hence, they started their world tour with 9 (11) songs
We just need more music. I hope this comeback delay means it's a full album.

Thanks so much guys. Regarding "comebacks", the K-Pop industry is much different in the West. Here, it's not unusual to wait a year or more between new music from artists. In K-Pop though, artists usually have two or three "comebacks" a year (one or two songs), plus a full album. BLACKPINK is, for some reason, the exception to the rule. They debuted with two songs, then two more three months later. After that it was a seven month wait for one song, then a full year for another four, and ten months later another four. Altogether they've only released thirteen songs in three-and-a-half years. The media has written articles about it and the fans are up in arms. The girls want to release more content but their hands are tied. And they have said that some of their recent songs were written back in 2015! The countdown they showed was actually days left to debut, not people, although there were dozens of people who dropped out of the YG training. The group originally was planned be be called "BABYPINK" or "PINKPUNK" and have nine members. Then it was dropped to five members but one was let go from the company for dating (Their contract forbids them from drinking, smoking, clubbing, driving, dating, and plastic surgery.)
Tattooes are also forbidden..Though they can date now starting from august 8th...it was only to preserve the image of the group and the money and time the label put into them.In Kpop one dating scandal can ruin your career forever.

To hear that your son wanted to learn more about them, touched my heart. There are a lot of videos to learn more about them. Beginners guide to Blackpink by gaypop, might be a good bet, since it's easier to listen than read. However, the Unhelpful Guide to Blackpink 2019 edition, added a few up to date info about them. There are also a few in depth videos about each members, like "Who is Lalisa Manoban. The story of Blackpink Lisa", which is pretty cool.

A few adds; One of their world tour stops was Manchester the day before the one year anniversary of the terrorist attack. They made changes to their songs, taking out the lyrics eluding to weapons and the gestures mimicking guns. They also issued a statement acknowledging the attack's anniversary and their sympathy to the victims.
Most of the quotes are from the Zach Sang show interview, which you should react too. It is them talking about being Blackpink, their training days, performing and even the making their songs and MV's. Also a lot of the clips are Blackpink House which a reality show about living together in a home and traveling to Thailand. Each episode is an hour and most of them are still on TH-cam.

After a decade of training together, practicing together, performing together, and basically sharing each others' lives day and night, they have probably formed a bond that even siblings don't have. I don't think they exaggerate when they say they can accurately guess each others' thoughts 99.9% of the time--that's the kind of emotional symbiosis you achieve after years of intimacy. I hope that they get to stay together even after YG decides to disband Blackpink, as is bound to happen one day. They have been through so much together, they probably would no longer be able to feel complete without each other.
Their journey to the stage is generally the rule and not the exception for most (if not all) Kpop groups a.k.a idols. Unfortunately, not even 30% of those that train for the idol life will even achieve this level of success - or even debut.
I am surprised the success rate is as high as 30%, I would expect it to be closer to 3 - 8%.

Highly recommend the BlackPink Netflix series now that it is out. It is the best source from their perspective instead of fan made videos on youtube. Also their new show 24/365- wholesome and cute... you get a glimpse of their regular everyday lives at home and their interactions and pets.

Lisa was only 14 years old when she started training. Jisoo, as you saw, is the eldest of the four, and she has never let anyone see her cry. She takes her role as the "big sister " seriously
14?! That is so young....YG better look after all of the children well, slightly concerned for those who burn out and do not make it!
She (Lisa) not only beat out all the other people who auditioned in Thailand (she is the only one not of Korean heritage), she couldn't speak Korean at all except for "hello ". Nobody was allowed to speak to her in anything else except Korean, so she had to learn how to speak it fluently. (She can now speak at least 5 languages)
May I suggest that you watch blackpink house and blackpink diaries. You will probably enjoy seeing the ladies outside of performing concerts

Check out BamBam from Got7. He’s Lisa’s childhood friend and they’re still good friends until now. He’s also a hardworking, dedicating person like Lisa. Most people usually thinks he looks girly but if you get to know him more you’ll find that he’s a true man.

It’s not only Blanckpink that goes through that hardship. It’s all KPop artists (girls and boys) that go through years of practice and not to be sure if you ever make it as a KPop artist. Negative side about Blackpink is that YG(their entertainment company) treats them kind of badly. They exist 3 years now and they don’t have a proper FULL album, only singles and mini albums. YG don’t let them write their own songs or participate in writing songs. They are not free to do what they want( but that’s general in KPop). The girls till now only have around 15-16 songs. The Fandom Blinks really want them to have more songs and albums. Hopefully 2020 when they will comeback ( is what they call new song in KPop) will be much better for Blackpink. Hopefully a real full album, more comebacks and less appearances for sponsors. Because they appear more as representatives for sponsors than they are on stages bringing music. Hopefully also less hateful comments, because in the last month KPop had 2 suicides after hateful comments from trolls on social media. Going to end the rant here.
