You need to find a Magnum SRT with 425 horsepower and rethink your statements. The Magnums mimicked a chopped look from the hotrodders of the past and were probably the coolest wagons since the 1955-1957 Chevy Nomads. At least in my humble opinion. If we're going to discuss Mercedes wagons, they should at least be of the AMG variety. Some of the Magnums also came with AWD. The great recession of 2008 helped to kill off the Magnum.
That one looks and sounds pretty ratty, but I think the Magnum was one of the best looking American station wagons ever. Never been inside one, but a friend who rented one years ago said rear visibility was less than ideal. As for the GLK, I'm happy with my 2015 GLK350 overall, though I do wish whoever came up the idea of stop/start systems could be fed slowing into a wood chipper. feet first. Thought 2013 was the last year not cursed with one, but seeing ECO lit up on the instrument cluster and the ECO button on the dash makes me think I was wrong.
I love the Dodge Magnum. I always wanted one, but they cut production so early. They could’ve had a long run with that. You know specially 5.7 hemi would’ve bought up left and right because you have a sports car and a wagon and a truck at the same time, because you flip all the seats back you room for a 4x8 sheet of plywood
GLK looks well taken care of as you thought, but the Magnum must be a Hemi not a V6. Think the GLK would make a fantastic car someone as not much damage.
I was able to rent a Dodge Magnum SRT when they first came out and I took it on a drive from South Carolina to Maryland. It was a VERY comfortable car, lots of room and the HEMI was a blast to drive. I fell in love with the car the second time I rented one, but alas I could never pull the trigger on buying one. It was just too much for my meager budget at the time.
A lot of people love those Magnums. They are pretty good cars, really. If they are in decent shape and haven't been totally trashed, I think it would be a good rig, as long as it had the Hemi.
Back in 2006 or so, I rented a Magnum R/T for a weekend, and went on a long highway trip. Had it up to 190 km/h (118 mph). I seriously considered getting a Magnum SRT when they came out, but in the end, stayed with my economy Elantra. The world's greatest Magnum? Check out Junkyard Dave and his one off build.
Hello Mike aka Monkey Wrench Mike. The 2013 Cadillac ATS is a good looking car even though it's got a little damage to the rear drivers side. The 2006 Dodge Magnum is a decent looking car even though it's got some damage to the drivers side doors and front end damage.
I owned one with a Hemi, awesome vehicle. Ran like a raped ape and got great gas mileage as long as U kept Ur foot out of the throttle, whew brings back great memories
Don't do it Mike, that GLK looks like a car that has more problems than we know. For example, the black tape at the bottom of the steering column is just the start of unforseen car problems.
The magnum existed before the charger or challenger. It was sold in europe with a Chrysler 300 front end. The 3.5 is the engine to have if not the hemi. I to wonder what they were thinking.
I remember when Dodge was pre hyping the Magnum, promising a supercharged V8 and AWD. I was all amped and ready to buy until it came out with neither of those features. So I bought a manual Subaru Forester XT instead. The Caddy is interesting. Did you notice the park assist sensors? I don't know if it had the adaptive cruise control in that year. For the Benz, you will also need to get the modules for the replacement door and seat "married" to the car. So you will need at least a higher end diagnostic tool if not access to a STAR system.
Any time the aitbags go off you also have to have the SRS module reset. Seat airbags can be replaced and the cover re-sewn. If the seat belts have pre-tensioners, those will also need to be repaired or replaced.
Worst dodge ever? That's a tough one, there are so many choices. Almost all of them qualified. The journey. The nitro. The Daytona. The Omni. And the most modern, the hornet. Which nobody will ever buy
Mike I work at a Mercedes shop and I had a 08 gl550 and needed a truck more so sold it but 2 years later needed a family rig for a back up rig my old Camaro didn’t cut it Wifes suv got hit hard now we have a 2006 R500 with 321000ish miles and we love it
Mike, the Magnum looked like it had storm damage.... I don't think a V6 is enough motor for that size of car... but with a Hemi and all wheel drive I'd drive one no problem. I'd say they are much more affordable than a Mercedes. Maybe you need to break away from the European cars from time to time and see what the average person drives. You are right about LKQ, they when to hell in a handbasket as soon as Pick a Part took over, corporate greed at its finest.✌
I love the Magnum and, at one time, wanted one really badly (when my kids were young). I did not know it was available with a V6 though. If I had, I might have bought one. Can't afford the gas a V8 drinks and now, I can barely afford the gas my V6 drinks.
I wanted to buy a Magnum, but by the time I was going to do it Dodge stopped selling them. Then the Charger and Challenger came out, which were essentially the same car. I wish they would have put the Magnum back in the lineup at that time.
The ATS is decent but that back end needs a decent amount of work plus the CUE screens tend to crack in this generation. This one also appears to be a 3.6l base model as it doesn't even have heated seats. Might be a deal if it sells for less!
magnum is far from the worst dodge ever.. HELLCAT swaps are real recently they dont make the charger or challenger at all anymore.. until the new ev comes out.
I like the idea of the Magnum. I didn't like the interior. I don't like the dash or the door cards. I don't like the steering wheel. I don't like the gauges. And then, what powertrain is good?
Mike, I gif you a huge tip, olmost nobody gif a shit about Europe cars, take American old cars, and you get a hold lot more subscribers, because you are good..
I normally wouldn't buy a Mercedes Mike ,but that one peaks my interest.
I miss my 68 coronet 440 wagon bought used in 70 lasted many years till destroyed by an undocumented hit and run.
Cadillac, Mercedes very intriguing, high confidence in you Mike that you could repair them and put them back on the road. Thanks 4 the video share.

I think SUV’s and Sport Utility Vehicles killed a lot of things including the sedan and the Magnum.
I don't know why the Magnums never caught on. Station wagons are awesome and if you got your hands on an SRT they were great.
Mike you need a sippy cup for your drink you are not safe with a big boy cup😂😂😂😂😂
Lmao😅

Great walk around Mike! Thanks.😊
Magnums were built on the Chrysler 300 platform. Popular in cali.
I watch you and Randy everyday keep it up nice contents
Personally the Cadillac and the Benz look very interesting. Maybe you can try to rescue them
I love the dodge magnums

My dad owns a black magnum R/T with Hellcat wheels.
find a magnum with a hemi and all wheel drive then judge how fun it is
Buy the Mercedes and fix it. Back yard mechanic stuff draws in subscribers. If Money Wrench Mike can do it why not us. Keep up the great work Mike
The magnums are station wagon's. The millennial snow don't go fur Wagon's. I like them though. 😮
I like Magnum
I love the GLK makes me wana get one. I love your videos. Never commented but I've been a subscriber for years❤.

GLK looks well taken care of as you thought, but the Magnum must be a Hemi not a V6. Think the GLK would make a fantastic car someone as not much damage.

Mike, the decal on the back of the Nissan in the opening shot of the video…I’m dyin’ 😂
The Mercedes would be an easy fix. It needs a door, seat and a couple of airbags that are really easy to replace. Go for it Mike!
I remember when Dodge was pre hyping the Magnum, promising a supercharged V8 and AWD. I was all amped and ready to buy until it came out with neither of those features. Great hat Mike and that Mercedes was really nice. Take care from Tampa, Florida...Will

For the 1st car .. Cad ATS, the rear bumper & the dent of the trunk can be restored by PDR, No Big Deal, BUT it won't be CHEAP !
That "Fat Guys" phrase is hilarious LOL
I like the Dodge Magnum. V6 or V8
sadly it was the v6
My mother got a 05 magnum with the 6 cyl.......still runs ok......
Worst dodge ever? That's a tough one, there are so many choices. Almost all of them qualified. The journey. The nitro. The Daytona. The Omni. And the most modern, the hornet. Which nobody will ever buy

What do you think about a r class

The Glk looks great
The Cadillac for the win.

you say mercedes!! who do you think made the magnum??? mercedes did.. its your cup of tea Mike you need it..
I like the sniff test 🤧 we can kinda predict what some cars are going to smell like by the make & model 😅 🪴 💨
I like the Mercedes best of the cars in this video,
magnum is far from the worst dodge ever.. HELLCAT swaps are real recently
they dont make the charger or challenger at all anymore.. until the new ev comes out.
My Cummins has the PCM mounted to the engine block makes zero sense. 7k oil changes are scary
0:13 That car sticker behind you💀
Mike you need the camera that Randy has he hasn't doesn't have any overheating problems
If It's RT Magnum U Have Real Modern Fast Grocery Getter That's Will Go Up On Value & 2013 Glk Hard To Say Yes For Mercedes In My Opinion.
I like the Magnm 😀
I kinda like those wagons I wanted one but bought an equinox instead yes I am a dope
Changing the door would be easy, the air bags not so much.
I like the idea of the Magnum. I didn't like the interior. I don't like the dash or the door cards. I don't like the steering wheel. I don't like the gauges. And then, what powertrain is good?
Not a fan of the Magnum body style, and THAT one has some odd dents, almost like someone went after it with a hammer, or a bat, or a club.
I have a awd magnum it's a nice car but I'd rather have a truck
It’s not vinyl it is vegan leather now.
Stay away from the turbo 4 in the ATS
Lifters
Those Cadillac tail lights are ridiculou$
All cars are great except the Magnum, it’s rubbish but the others are worth looking at Mike.
mike you need a hemi magnum
You should have had a bottle of water. Instead of coke cola too much sugar. And that pop is not going to cool you off
Dodge magnum had timing belt run from it no good v6 engines
stay away from the v6 vvt gm engines
Stop monkeying about at iaa ,where's the Barracuda
Mike, I gif you a huge tip, olmost nobody gif a shit about Europe cars, take American old cars, and you get a hold lot more subscribers, because you are good..
You might want to try that again, but in English!
Hey Mike Lola Benzo the wonder
