Hola chicos, tengo una duda pero no sé mucho sobre computadoras para ser honesta, es posible usarlo tal cual llega con un R5 7600x? O hay que actualizarlo?
Recently considered the B550i version and noted in very small print "No wifi included, have to buy separately" on every Ali store lol But they lies a question which version would it accept, no info given. Decided to buy used MSI B550i Gaming Edge from Ebay UK. Less risk when you read the text & view the photos imo plus updates aplenty! Glad you reviewed this brand if only to confirm my thoughts.👍
If I can request one more AliExpress board, it would be nice to see what you think about the Colorful CVN B650M FORZNE V14. The company seems like they have a decent enough history with boards and graphics cards, and getting PCIe 5.0 on the x16 slot would mean I could probably hang on to the one single board through AM5. Thank you for all you do!!
Colorful seems to make decent stuff, and their support actually responded to me (albeit not quickly) when I contacted them about my older Intel 10th/11th gen B560I Frozen series board (ARGB header was not supporting the full number of LEDs on my fan, and they sent me a ARGB update). If you're just building a simple system then I can say my experience has been fine.
I have the one. Its BIOS stands between the 4-brand mobo and this video`s mobo. I mean there are more overclocking features and other settings but some are missed: some memory timings, no overclocking profiles, no 3-pin cooler management (only 4-pin PWM), mobo sensors show weird secondary temperatures. I.e. the 4-brand mobos do not have those issues obviously (or much less). As for hardware I ought to say the colorful mobo is great and looks very cool. I can overclock my 32 GB up to 6400 MHz with 1:1 ratio (or simply activate EXPO 6400 profile), my R7 7700 with PBO or by fix. And of course, I purchased it on nice price at Ali. Moreover I have the Colorful RTX 3090 Vulcan card.
I also asked the support if future AM5 CPUs will be supported by this board. The answer was and I quote: 'will supported'. And nothing else. So maybe yes and maybe not I guess at least. Thanks for the review!
The Tower 100! I have a custom loop system in that case, had a Scythe Ninja 5 in there before that, case is great showing off and building either type of system.
@@Hardwareunboxed Your evaluations of value and the motherboard market are gold. I know who I will be watching to see the new Ryzen put through it's paces!
"Welcome to Jank Unboxed. I'm your host Steve" :P Poking fun aside: It's always easy to spend other peoples money with good advice, but if you're really really hamstrung for cash, don't gamble. Keep saving until you can buy something where RMA's will be handled properly. The dud-rate on entry level products IS higher than on the mid-range and premium stuff, so it becomes extra important to have "insurance" if you simply can't afford a loss.
Having done a build in the Jginyue B760i Snow Dream, it wasn’t bad. Lacked featured but at least XMP worked out of the box. RGB control was non existent however and the bios layout was messy.
Another great option for budget b650 with is the CVN B650m Frozen V14 for $145. A lot of feature at a lower price. I just bought a bundle with 7500f for just $300.
I generally expect 3+ fan headers for a PC (CPU, intake, exhaust), but I assume this type of board is for small form factor with only exhaust. 👍🏼 Weren't it for the memory compatibility, it would seem great for that use case. Aside from warranty, with products for the Chinese market we are also unsure how they stand up to legislation in our region, e.g. CE & RoHS in the EU or RCM in Australia or FCC in the USA. Igor's lab was able to buy products with arsenic and electrical fire hazards just fine from Ali Express. 😅
Hey Steve, I have no common sense. The slide at 9:19, top bar has the value "69", but the rest of the bars show the Celcius notation. By chance this is showing 69°C? Or maybe it's measured in Farenheit, Kelvin, or maybe even average energy lost per second of a kangaroo? Maybe we need to use the sum notation "Sigma" , terms 1 - 69 and the rest of the bars is a segment of this sequence?
I think it'll be good if you test this board with lower end CPUs maybe with the 7500f? or even the 7700. Will then have a better picture of what it will look like for people who are going to budget option route but want to go with an ITX build.
Hmm have to agree. Do not skimp on the MB. $50 USD is nothing when you consider the difference in a one level up CPU or GPU. Interesting board. I have a Chinese Mini ITX AM3 bought a few years back. Used it with integrated graphics and even stuck a 1070 on it with a riser. THX for the review. I was waiting for it after you mentioned it was coming.
@@cloudnine5651 If you buy a $90 product and have to sped 4 hours to get it working correctly instead of spending $130 on a product that just works, you just spent a bunch of time working 10 bucks an hour. My time is worth more than that.
To be fair the components and PCB quality has probably improved by leaps and bounds. I am also not getting the sense that the motherboard manufacturers are making Nvidia levels of margin on their products.

What people don't talk about is that this board also has a good quality sound card. And having optical connection is a bonus for 5.1 surround( if your surround doesn't have hdmi input ) if you want to decode the best sound like Dolby digital, DTS digital..
You should take a look at Maxsun MS-Challenger B650M Wifi next, you can get it at the same price and it actually comes with wifi, better BIOS, and better support
I was sort of into cheap mobos in the 90's, but got burned too many times over the years. Except for an AM3 board that lived through absolute hell for ten years that had no business working but did until the very last moment. These days I will sacrifice if I have to for a board with high quality lan/wan and audio chips and reasonable pci-e layout. But I don't get on people for trying to get a good deal. I just hesitate with boards and PSU's.
I love cheap stuff. I would actually buy this, but pair it with an equally cheap 7500F. I'm almost certain that the 7500F and 7700 users are the target audience for this. Jank is love, jank is life.
Considering all AM5 motherboards ship with MediaTek WiFi cards, this one coming without one but an empty space to put yours is a vast improvement. I've had to replace WiFi basically in all my AMD AM4 and AM5 machines to Intel or Qualcomm cards. Even my £500+ motherboard (Asus ProArt X670E Creator) has absolutely dogshit wifi 😂 thankfully Intel AX210 can be had for £10 from Ali but replacement is a hassle (have to take out motherboard entirely because screws are on the backplate side)
If you got basically no warranty, i wonder if a used motherboard would be a better fit for this price. Sure, suspect usage, but still top tier features and top tier bios support.

Working great with my Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5-6000 CL30-38-38-96 1.35V, same CPU as well.
It is better to buy combo set (Ram + Mobo + / CPU) from same listing rather than multi listings. I bought the 5700G set few years ago with one of the 8GB sticks DOA, the seller sent me 2x8GB sticks replacement completely free & arrive in 2 weeks (3-4 days for refund process - upload lots of photos).
Yesterday I grabbed this board and a Ryzen 7 7700 for $251 after a $40 discount coupon from Aliexpress. Hoping this helps keep my room cooler compared to my current 11900KF Z590 Strix PC. This summer in Florida has been absolute hell with the humidity this year!
I did the same lol, excited for my new build. Which ram are you pairing it with? Mine is the Juhor 16gbx2 6400mhz.

Waiting for the update on the B650E-i ROG Strix to decide on my next mobo
Don't forget to Enable Above 4G Decoding as well and enabling resizable bar to get full bar size.
I would have noted that but Enable Above 4G Decoding is enabled by default.
@@Hardwareunboxed Oh I see I misread it as disabled but it was the only thing enabled in that page of the BIOS. 🤣🤣
Moreover I have the Colorful RTX 3090 Vulcan card.
love the mb content, thanks Steve
those colored front panel pins are really cool for visual interpretation, I wish more motherboards did that
Getting a really cheap board from a good brand is much different than an ally express Chinese brand no ones ever heard of. Interesting video!
Would be nice if you could test the colorful boards next. Their specs look really promising for the price they come at.
Yeah I'm lookinbg at that next, I have a Maxsun B650 atm.
Yes, it would nice to see the HU review for Colorful or Maxsun mobo.
I also asked the support if future AM5 CPUs will be supported by this board. The answer was and I quote: 'will supported'. And nothing else. So maybe yes and maybe not I guess at least. Thanks for the review!
Steve's basically collecting b650 boards like Pokemon at this point, gotta catch them all
I've been waiting for this exact review, thank you so much!
The Tower 100! I have a custom loop system in that case, had a Scythe Ninja 5 in there before that, case is great showing off and building either type of system.
Price is not alway the most importance. Warranties and suport on hardware parts is VERY IMPORTANT!!
Agreed and covered in the video.
@@Hardwareunboxed Your evaluations of value and the motherboard market are gold.
I know who I will be watching to see the new Ryzen put through it's paces!

Nothing beats the Microcenter deals here in the US, if your lucky enough to have one close by that is
Good to know. Now can we see the ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-I GAMING WIFI ?
Now cool mod the board with pastes, pads and putties AS WELL AS heat sinks, brackets etc and test it.
Thank you for the review
B650E-I when?
That's the one I use!
4:55 never thought I'd need an impact driver for a motherboard screw, but here we are
"Welcome to Jank Unboxed. I'm your host Steve" :P
Poking fun aside: It's always easy to spend other peoples money with good advice, but if you're really really hamstrung for cash, don't gamble. Keep saving until you can buy something where RMA's will be handled properly. The dud-rate on entry level products IS higher than on the mid-range and premium stuff, so it becomes extra important to have "insurance" if you simply can't afford a loss.
Fair assessment of the motherboard
There's another chinese brand Maxsun with seemingly okay B650 motherboards. Can you test them too?
I have some videos on it, in my current build.
@@AlexHusTech Alright, thanks brother. I'll check them out
That thing is power limited to 135watt & has weaker vrm
Having done a build in the Jginyue B760i Snow Dream, it wasn’t bad. Lacked featured but at least XMP worked out of the box. RGB control was non existent however and the bios layout was messy.
Its always a gamble buying one of those boards.
Ha! that website and motherboard Reminds me of my early 2000s experiences building with ECS, Jetway, etc 🤣
The cheapest B650 Board in Germany is the Biostar B650MT for 85€.
And the very recommendable ASRock B650M-HDV/M.2 cost only 124€ atm.
No plans to buy a board this cheep but I'm here for it
Another great option for budget b650 with is the CVN B650m Frozen V14 for $145. A lot of feature at a lower price. I just bought a bundle with 7500f for just $300.
I generally expect 3+ fan headers for a PC (CPU, intake, exhaust), but I assume this type of board is for small form factor with only exhaust. 👍🏼
Weren't it for the memory compatibility, it would seem great for that use case.
whats with hardware unboxed's obsession with B650 motherboards , i get these videos all the time in my timeline and everytime its different video
A decent B650 motherboard is the best-value board for the HUB target audience.
B650 is the best new product in the market right now.A620 is too basic,X670 too expensive and Intel should be avoided at all costs.
The anime ace/wild words font on the website cracks me up.
I hate that $90 is the cheapest option nowadays, but I'm super glad I didn't go down that route build my pc.

I bought a cheap B350 AM4 board 7 years ago for $75 and now have a 5800X in it. Still going strong.
The time needed to get this thing working is worth more than the cost savings.
what savings? it was fuckin $90.
@@cloudnine5651 If you buy a $90 product and have to sped 4 hours to get it working correctly instead of spending $130 on a product that just works, you just spent a bunch of time working 10 bucks an hour. My time is worth more than that.

I remember when you could get a quality board from a known manufacturer for half the price. Bring back the mid-2000s!
Problem is Inflation is a thing they'll respond that this "Half the Price" was actually more expensive
If your benchmark is the mid 2000s and it was half, then the peice is the same. If your standard is 2018-2020, then yeah fuck these prices
To be fair the components and PCB quality has probably improved by leaps and bounds.
I am also not getting the sense that the motherboard manufacturers are making Nvidia levels of margin on their products.
we were also earning half as much
@@stennan Unless you are talking 9 segment displays for troubleshooting they have vanished on cheaper boards
Love the Comic Sans on the boards Aliexpress page lol!
Yeha, I don't think the saving is enough for the wacky warranty and software support.
Thank you for your service.
Is that Comic Sans in the product listing? 😂
Calibri 10 way more appropriate
Just put a extra nice fan facing the board at all times to keep it cool and most likely it will be fine.
Biostar motherboards seem to be a great budget pick. @HardwareUnboxed I’d love to see them included more in test videos.
4:40 get yourself a JIS (Japanese industrial standard) driver. (its Philips but straighter sides so it wont cam out. (JIS drivers work on both JIS and Philips screes.. but a Philips driver cannot be used with a JIS screw (you will strip it easy)) I only have JIS drivers now. they really are amazing. if you never tried on, you must... feels good man.
BIOS menu tabs:
Home | Advanced | Chipset | Overclocking | Boot | Security | Save & Exit
For another "freak show" epizode you can try Chinese graphic brand Moore Threads or Russian CPU Baikal with their mb.
What people don't talk about is that this board also has a good quality sound card. And having optical connection is a bonus for 5.1 surround( if your surround doesn't have hdmi input ) if you want to decode the best sound like Dolby digital, DTS digital..
I think it's because the onboard sound ain't selling this board.
3.5mm jack or optical are only 2.0 true sound. Any conversion to 5.1 is either a program on the computer or an amplifier/DAC you are running to.
Yes you will need compatible Soundsystem to play digital like Dolby. They will only decode 5.1 if you use optical or hdmi..
You should take a look at Maxsun MS-Challenger B650M Wifi next, you can get it at the same price and it actually comes with wifi, better BIOS, and better support
I want one of those LOTES backplates. They are way stiffer than the ones I usually see on budget boards.
Do you have a cold?
Liquid garlic not working?😂
Real good video make more of this
Can you review the Maxsun B650M WiFi also costs $90
i wonder if Steve will be so exited for the next gen B series boards
If you got basically no warranty, i wonder if a used motherboard would be a better fit for this price. Sure, suspect usage, but still top tier features and top tier bios support.
im using this board and overclock my 6400 cl 32-39-39 gloway to 7200 32-41-41 without any issue and overclock my 7600 to 5.5ghz daily , been using this with my previous 7800x3d and 7900x oc .
Do biostar 650 boards next or even the colorful ones
Regarding RAM stability, it is not the bios, it's the cheap 4ss slots. Take out the RAM, and re-seat it. Set the timings to 30-38... and you'll see.
reason for "fake" reviews is that aliexpress gives you coins for reviewing product you bought that you can later use for discounts
