This is a great model car 🚗. I got this version from model car world about 4 years ago ! This colour for me is the best version and MCG did a good job 👏
I wrote a few days ago that I have this model in black, but I preferred one in green since it was the color of our '60 Ford Ranch Wagon. I decided today to order one. Couldn't help myself. I bought the black one from American Excellence, but this model isn't on there website. I found, and purchased a green one from the Mint Models website. Price was $89.95, but was on sale for $79.95. I want to comment that after watching your video again, I noticed a difference in the rear wheel openings. The rear wheel openings on the model have a flanged lip like the front wheel openings have. On the actual cars, Ford did not flange the rear openings. Something I always thought it was a bit odd. I think Ford should have made them like this model. I wish that it had a more detailed underside or at least steerable front wheels. But, as you said, it's such a beautiful model, that more than makes up for it.
Great video. I was googling 1960 Fords when I came across it. I bought this model in black nearly four years ago. Never removed it from the box. I would have preferred one in green, but I didn't know they made one. I believe this color was called Meadowvale Green. We had the low end Ranch Wagon in this color, but with Corinthian White roof. It was ordered with the wide whitewall tires and full wheel covers like this model has. It had Ford's 223 cu.in. Mileage Maker Six and 3 speed manual transmission. It also had posi-traction. I remember Dad saying that it could back through a snowbank. It was a beautiful car. I loved it. Still, I think this was the most attractive green ever. I taught myself how to drive in that car when no one was around. I was nine or ten years old. Mom caught me giving my three younger siblings a ride. All four of us in the front seat with the youngest standing beside me. Mom was horrified, but she never told Dad. I figured that either she loved me, or she didn't want blood on her floor.
"Ach du lieber, mein schatz"! Beautiful model & color! Same applies to the original "full scale" car too! Beautiful styling with outstanding VISION all around, something our new cars LACK a lot! Would have been very nice if this model had battery powered operating lights though. The "price"??? Come on now, TELL US, we can bear the pain! "Gesundheit"!!!
I got it on sale 40.00 USD!! but these are usually 70-100 USD cars. thanks for watching!!! try these guys if you want one, www.american-excellence.com they are from Germany as well and have a euro site but have an office and distributor here in USA
not a fan of wagons but since there's no sign mcg is bringing this as a sedan, i think i'll get a black one as it is an interesting car from that era and nobody else makes it in this scale.
You have to lower that model down. It sits up like it is four wheel drive. I just used my Dremel and slotted the axle holes and now mine sits lower like it should. The tires are bit oversize from reality.
As a static display this unit looks ok, but doesn't rate the price point. Here are my deal-breaker issues: minimal undercarriage detail; zero operating features (doors, hood, tailgate, steering, suspension, etc.), brightwork is in silver paint, tires do not look to scale at all. Its products like these that make me REALLY miss Danbury Mint... Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the detailed video 👍

Do you think they would make a 59 ford?
they have not done one yet but if you search 1/18 scale 1959 ford their are other makers that do one,
Where is your store and how do I order one of these models?
I don’t have a store but I purchased it here www.american-excellence.com

12 minutes to show a static model?
