For anyone struggling on the final section of Drakengard, this is how i beat it: i watched the TH-cam video showing the button prompts, took a sheet of construction paper, a black sharpie, a silver sharpie and a pen, each time the prompts appeared on the white circle i would jot them down along with the exact second they appear by making a white and black line across the paper and the time they show up in pen, and if it was a cluster i put the lines closer together, making a full diagram of the last 45 seconds of the song, it was tedious but i got it done, i managed to fully memorize the first 1:45 to reach the end quicker, so when my brother played it he would pause and i could read out exactly whats going to appear and when so he can prepare, pause after about 6 notes and time the next pattern, after 1 or 2 tries we beat it, it was just barely effective but it worked.
This is one of those videos that will resurge five to ten years down the pipeline. I Cleared this game back in May, 2018. I knew about Drakengard ever since DOD-3 came out, but after NieR: Automata released and turned a success, i learned that it was actually a spin-off saga from DOD. And while I ADORED DOD-1, its timeline is the most disastrous I have ever come up with to any video game saga. Ever. I don’t know if I’ll ever bother enough to read every novel, listen to the CD Drama or watch the stage play. Probably not. But who knows? This is the hardest boss fight I’ve ever played. Yet.
@@VizardUltimo all that whining about dod1 boss when dod3 boss is 30x harder and I do it regularly just for fun. It has a better song. Why have you not played dod3? It's better than Automata.
@@Godzilla_Star_Eater like I said. I pray that you are right about the boss. My complaint had anything to do with its difficulty but the timeline of the story itself. Get your eyes checked and a reader’s comprehension while you’re at it, kid.
Speak not the Watchers,
Draw not the Watchers,
Write not the Watchers,
Sculpt not the Watchers,
Sing not the Watchers,
Call not the Watchers' name.
Speak of me. Paint my likeness.
Write about me. Carve me into stone.
Sing of me. Call for me.
Please. Please realize...that I am here.
Glad to see Drakengard is still getting memed to this day, thank you for your hard work
Spent a solid 4 hours learning how to edit video for this.

"And fuck you to everyone that chose to set the controller down." ~ Yoko Taro probably
It's not nearly as rude as the final note of Drakengard 3's version of this fight
I AM CAIM
