@@unnoticed6802 One I was in the Navy two you're right a 50 does have an immense amount of recoil and three I have used the 50 during deployments for two different types of missions. 1 would be target interdiction as in a bad guy is traveling in a convoy or in a vehicle and we want to capture him and two would be I carried a SR-25 rifle as well as a 50 on Long Range Patrols to protect convoys of Army or Marines from VBIED as well as ambushes and again as an anti-material rifle the 50 has enough bang to blow up roadside IEDs.
You also have a SWAT officer NOT shooting the engine block which is exactly what that gun is for and what I’m going to assume he is trained to do (I’m going to go on the assumption that someone from the military would come in to teach SWAT how to best utilise such a gun and to train them so the subject would come up). Also going for the head is something no law enforcement officer is trained to do unless the subject has an explosive vest on. They are all trained to shoot centre mass and while it is likely that a SWAT officer would go for the head, I find it unlikely someone in his position would take that risk

Chances are that bullet is going to hit both the shield and the target unless you are a crack shot and the type of law enforcement officer who doesn’t follow guidelines. I’m not saying it’s not the best option, I’m just overanalysing a TV show and stating how I do not think that any sniper would wilfully ignore their training. Also that bullet is travelling so fast that hot lead and bits of skull matter would hit and injure the shield even if you do miss them plus having someone’s head turn into red mist would fuck someone up psychologically

Facts: The Barrett .50 BMG hits with more force than .44 Magnum point blank from 75 football fields away, it can also easily rip a man in half behind a brick wall from over a mile away. The recoil on that gun is like getting hit in the chest with a sledgehammer while Tyson hits you with a left at the same time (Just fired it a week ago) lol, the recoil depicted was VERY UNREALISTIC as was the damage.
Yeah, I fired a 50 twice when I first went on holiday in the US. This guy handles the recoil of the 50 like I handled the recoil of the AR-15 with 5.56. Also, the 50 is stupid powerful. I had my mouth open when firing my 2nd shot, and it literally sucked the moisture from my mouth after I fired.

Just another note of how powerful the 50 is: I fired in prone and the blast caused a visible "wave" to blow down my clothes, it's that powerful. It's the smoke (or lack of) and noise that makes this one seem less powerful. It should have way more smoke blasting out from the muzzle, less recoil to the sides and more "back", and a heck of a louder boom.
I enjoy the recoil of the M82 more than most less powerful calibers, because it doesnt kick like a horse, its more like a push. 60 rounds within a day with our old training rifle "Ssg69" and my shoulder hurts like hell. 60 Rounds with the M82 and the only thing I feel is a pressure behind my eyes

Like maybe the driver ducking down and driving a little bit in zig zag to make it hard to hit. Also you literally just shot the bad dude with a high caliber sniper rifle. I agree, but even if it's a 50 cal and not the most realistic scene ever, that windshield slowed that bullet down and caused it to disperse a lot causing it to possibly not penetrate vital organs when hit.

Professional snipers even say it themselves shooting through any sort of glass is risky, because even things like that will disperse and slow down a bullet.

Okay, 3 MAJOR things wrong with this. 1 - That glass isn't bulletproof, it's a normal windshield, so those 5.56 rounds would sail clean through it (Guarantee you M855 is coming out of the barrel of those M4's, AKA - LAP (Light Armor Piercing) ) 2 - There's a *SLIGHT* chance that a 5.56 would glance off of that glass, it's happened before, but it is EXTREMELY rare that it happens. 3 - This dude just shrugged off a .50 Caliber like it's nothing, if that was real life, his organs would be pooling in his stomach in the form of blood and chunks of meat.

Um. A anti matter rifle or a 50 cal would get through that glass like cardboard. Ambulance glass is reinforced but not that much only about a couple centimeters. A 50 cal with armor piercing would go straight through it.
you dont need armor piercing ... normal 50 cal can go through bulletproof glass ... the amount of kinetic energy is insane ... it would go through that glass and make drivers whole head go kaboom ... check on youtube when they were trying to simulate shooting melon with 50 cal through bulletproof glass

Depends on the ammunition used. If it’s regular ball ammo, then sure, a few shots would be needed.
There are only 4 swat officers to stop an ambulance on a bridge? With only 2 officers on the bridge mind you. Seriously? There is absolutely no way that there would have been only 1 swat vehicle on the bridge. On top of that, the .50 cal round would have stopped the ambulance a hell of a lot sooner, if not immediately.

Then they approach the bomb vehicle to rescue the guy terrorist who just got domed with a 50bmg. pretty sure fortnite is more realistic

Um. A anti matter rifle or a 50 cal would get through that glass like cardboard. Ambulance glass is reinforced but not that much only about a couple centimeters. A 50 cal with armor piercing would go straight through it.

you dont need armor piercing ... normal 50 cal can go through bulletproof glass ... the amount of kinetic energy is insane ... it would go through that glass and make drivers whole head go kaboom ... check on youtube when they were trying to simulate shooting melon with 50 cal through bulletproof glass
