Dude lower the skill cap, that lowers the onboarding rate and brings more people to the game. Riot can always add another tier or two to space out skill levels.
The reason a lot of people play the game is because of its immensely high skillcap -- lowering the skillCAP is not good, lowering the skill ceiling (such as the changes they're making to JG) is fine imo. But tracking vision and relaying that information to team is part of what sets good supports apart from great supports.
To the ward pinging thing. It may be, that you don't have to keep track of wards, but to be honest. I think it is way better this way. Lowering the skill cap of the game doesn't mean anything, since there are no perfect league players. It's not like the game gets easier. But your team being able to see your knowledge of enemy vision is such a blessing.
I mean it's cool but the colors don't look really good + some of the terrain doesn't get affected which makes it seem like playing with environment quality on lowest :d
