I personally attest to the safety built in to this car. I was T-boned on the driver side B pillar by a 1970 Chevy truck. It took the impact and dispersed it through the roof and underside allowing the frame to buckle on the passenger side B and C pillars! Came away with minor bruising thanks to Toyota Safety!

For what it's worth, it speeds up pretty nicely.
It has a good weight ratio for what it is. Under 2900 pounds
