I'm so sooooo grateful to their company for not rushing their debut, for thinking the concept through, for producing epic songs, for pulling it off perfectly, for giving them extended promotions now... This is first time in my life I enjoyed a whole album of an artist, there was literally not a single mediocre song. And their performances are cherry on the top... Jongho hitting those high notes live, San changing into monster on stage.... I wonder where they were hiding those gems before Mixnine... They are all so talented, and Hongjoong shines so bright... I love his voice, vibe and how he can play with it. It also perfectly intertwines with Mingi`s deep voice. Can't wait for what they have in store in the future. They have way much more to show. ATEEZ FIGHTING!

Yeah, you're totally right. Actually, I'm also glad that they're not from some big or other companies 'cause here in KQ, they really did a good job in promoting and training them. They treat them well unlike other companies whose very abusive to their idols. LOVE ATEEZ💚💚💚💚

Ateez takes you on a journey with their music. They are dramatic in the best way. I feel like I am listening to a full theatrical performance. It's what makes them unique and I love their sound. They keep you guessing.
oh my gosh, that's what i've been trying to put together/say but can't rly express it. It rly does, like listening from the start it makes you hyped as if you're on board then later with the ending songs, you feel relaxed like the journey is over an ending of an episode/movie
This is what I also felt. I'm a writer and the moment I heard Pirate King and Treasure, I felt it. I wanted to sit my ass down and write a story as I listened to the song.
And the very best it's that it's not only the music and the emotion they transmit with their voices but also the stage presence, dance and expressions! It's so good to see I want to see them doing a musical or acting, every single one of them individually and stronger as a group!!

hongjoong (the higher pitch rapper) does speak english, but also san (the vocalist in Twilight u loved) has SUCH good pronunciation it's crazy. twitter went crazy for his english lmao. san himself said he only "speaks a little bit of english" but his pronunciation sounds like he was born and raised in usa

I'm so happy you liked ATEEZ because I see potential in them. I see them being one of the best groups on kpop, they debuted with a concept and kept this concept in a way that you listen to them and say "this is ATEEZ". They're very well produced group, it seems KQ carefully picked everything, from vocal to rapper, dancer to album's songs. I usually don't like all the songs in a album (or mini album), but I liked both EPs, I hope ATEEZ becomes successful and recognizable for being a awesome group.

Thank you for what you said about Yeosang's singing (27:36) having a lot of emotional gravity. You stated why I love his voice and why he needs way more singing lines -- his vocal color is so emotive and mature, he sings it like he really feels it and makes the listener feel it too.

I'm so happy you like ATEEZ PD! Despite Treasure not being your favorite song, you still took the time out of your day to give all of their music a chance. They're really talented and overall great boys and they aren't here to disappoint. I'm seeing them live in Chicago next month and i'm so excited to see what they'll bring to the stage!

About "Desire", I love that it lures you in with that teasing intro, builds repeatedly and more intensely each time without a drop. It perfectly encapsulates the concept of human desire, and how greedy and selfish we are. We get a little taste, but we always want more. This song is somehow simultaneously satisfactory but leaves the listener with a feeling of longing at the end. I think the producer knew exactly what they were doing when they made this song. It's a masterpiece.
Also, they just released a full performance video for HALA HALA which I HIGHLY recommend!

PD, the first voice in Hala Hala is Wooyoung.
I remember during the live you kept getting different answers on who did the intro, Long Journey. Maddox is the voice, he’s in the credits and confirmed it on an Instagram live. He’s another KQ artist RnB I’m pretty sure.
Although San and Hongjoong are known to be very good at English and San has done a re-enactment of the intro.
And here my dumbass thought it was San...I’ve been lied to...

I'm so obsessed with both of their Albums...they are amazing and the Sound is so addictive. And Ateez are Rookies...what will happen in a few years? I've got the same feeling I had when BTS had their debut. I always said that they will become big in the Kpop Business and I was right. Now I see the same fame for Ateez in 2 years...or less...

Your reaction to Promise was my favorite part of this video haha, after having so many songs with false drops and songs pulling the hype back for the chorus, finally getting that huge drop at the end of the album is so satisfying!!!
The reason I like Ateez's concept so much is because they start out with Ep.1 already being pirates, but then they backtrack to Ep.2, which is what was before they became pirates. You can especially tell in Desire, when they say "I just cannot be myself", so they all decide to be pirates so that they can be themselves.

How you reacted to Promise is exactly how I did too! ATEEZ really takes you on a journey through every song. Not just the lyrics, but the production and transitions between the verses, pre-chorus, chorus, bridge, to outro. Literally every part is a piece of a journey. And you feel SO many different things when their music is blasting. Either really hype or super content and peaceful. And it's GRANDIOSE like you said! There's just something EPIC and BAR-SETTING about ATEEZ. I have never, never felt this way about any music artist--American, Korean, or otherwise. I'm so proud to be an ATINY.

ATEEZ is AMAZING and have so much POTENTIAL!! They are a group that just radiates TALENT! I loved every single song on their albums. I hope they become really SUCCESSFUL and get appreciated and recognised for their music and performance! ATEEZ FIGHTING!!
I think what makes promise have such a good drop is the fact that a lot of the other songs I the albums have fake drops and false drops so that when the drop happens in promise, its just that much sore satisfying
