Ken, a former ladies man who has recently become a paraplegic, is helped by his close friend and carer, Sam, to shoot an introduction video for a dating website. Still having not fully come to terms with the condition of his body, he continuously attempts to pretend to be someone he is not and to conceal the truth, until he is forced, with the help of Sam, to 'be himself' - Andrew Koji

'Above the Waist' is an excellent short film - I saw it at a film festival in London recently - it takes you on a mini-emotional roller-coaster ride. Superb performance from Andrew Koji. See it if you get the chance. Highly recommended.
