- An Arizona mother was arrested after she was caught swerving her car in between lanes, randomly stopped in the middle of traffic, and blown nearly three times over the legal limit to drive. While performing field sobriety tests, Clare Meacham told police that officers needed to go get her baby, who they later found home alone crying in his crib. Meacham was charged with DUI and child negligence.

Babies CRAVE human connection and anyone that even shows a baby, starved for love, any attention, that baby will not hesitate! It helped that the officer was so gentle. The writing was on the wall, poor thing!!
@amandamorris9324 I'm sorry, but I completely disagree about the being neglected part. A baby who is used to having to cry for long periods of time to have its basic needs met isn't going to stop crying as soon as they hear tapping on the window or commotion. A five month old baby who has been well cared for is going to be calm at first sight of any adult because in their 5 month experience, the adults in it's life have soothed and met it's needs. I agree with the other things you stated.
I thunk this girl is absolutely disgusting and she shouldn't even be allowed with the baby unsupervised. HOWEVER, as per usual the inference made here per the "social media psychology degree" is a joke. The baby calmly going with the officer is zero indication of past neglect. What happened here is bad enough without attempting to make up a whole backstory that there is no evidence of.
lmao!
Your generalisation is nonsense: both my daughter and oldest grandson were happy to go to strangers and they weren't neglected or starved for attention.
My best friend was born to a similar type person. Probably experienced neglect right away.
When an infant cries and nobody comes to comfort them, it does irreversible damage 💔
Just not true.
Should that happen intentionally, especially on a regular basis? Absolutely not.
But real, everyday life has informed us for far too long that it just isn’t possible to tend to your crying child immediately every single time, all day, all night, every single day for their childhood.
You know that, though.
Literally every single child that has ever lived has cried for awhile because their parents were trying to do a bunch of other everyday life things at the same time. This is especially true with multiple children, and even moreso when there’s older slightly older children and an infant.
Everyone should always try their best, and that’s all we should be asking. Raising children is HARD; trying to work, raise children, and take care of everyday household things every day is harder than wayyyy too many of you seem to be capable of admitting.
If things get crazy and your kid has to cry it out for a bit longer than you intended, they’re going to be just fine.
I promise y’all, it happened to you many times over the course of YEARS.
This situation here isn’t “normal” for the majority of parents and shouldn’t be treated as such.
@Ladybird.21 Obviously, this and what you are describing are COMPLETELY different. There are studies, heartbreaking studies, going back to the 50s. @@Canadianguy-d5d, you sound like a broken record! Get over yourself!
What an immature, irresponsible girl. She has no right to be a mother. SMH.
welp she shouldnt have spreaded her legs.
She probably didn’t become a mother by being responsible.
Yet people will force these people to keep the children they can't care for by limiting their reproductive rights.
Any alley cat is a better mother.
And another nominee for the “Mother of the Year” award.
She should never get this poor baby back. She doesn't care about anyone
I loathe this degenerate excuse for a mother.
No, that is awful. That child deserves to be safe, but also with his parents. You obviously have no idea how traumatic it is to be taken from your parents. Mama just needs help and proper supports in place. The baby deserves better than what she did and better than your jerk comment.
@Kimberlyjae3679 The baby is 5 months old. When the baby is old enough to know and understand their mother abandoned them to go drink I'm sure she will be glad knowing she was separated from the mother.
Safety first. Would you be okay knowing the baby was reuinted with a mother that could potentially do this all over again?
Think.
@@holdtheline4169 absolutely not. Are you not a parent? Do you not understand children? I’m a mom of 8. They are traumatized to be taken away. Adopted children have abandonment issues that leads to poor choices and struggles in life. That’s just the beginning. No, he would not be happy to be taken away.
Think
@@holdtheline4169 right! supervised visits only for her!!
Baby was shaking😢 he was crying for hours
The was horrifying to see his shaking hand omg!! I'm giving my baby extra cuddles right now!!
You noticed that too! I guarantee she lets him cry like that when she is home with him!
How in the world do you know how long the baby was crying? Huh?
That cop was so happy to hold the baby, he warmed my heart. He's a father for sure. His instincts were on point.
Not that it changes anything, but that baby is not 4-5 months old. He was standing up in his crib. So I'd figure he's between 7-9 months old.
Who the f.... leaves a frigging baby alone? My children were around 10 years old, before they were allowed to alone for a couple of hours. That poor baby, I can't help but wonder, how long he had been crying, alone, without anyone coming, and unable to leave.
Some people are just built differently. I feel guilty for leaving my cats for a day, and I even get them a "in home sitter", if I need to leave for more than a day. That woman has no business having a child.
He was like a vet tech with a puppy “I’ll hold him ❤…you guys go get the stuff he needs”
I was thinking the same! A 5 month old would not be standing like that
POINTING HIGH POWER RIFLES at a simple drunk driver (outside her vehicle) IS DISGUSTING!!!
@@Canadianguy-d5d Uhm,🙄 that "simple" drunk driver, might just take off when the officer approaches, ending up killing several other people.
Drunk drivers are the most dangerous drivers out there. They're worse than if you pass out, because they think they're overly capable to drive, making them that much more dangerous.
I don't normally side with the cops 👮 but in any case with a drunk driver, I applaud 👏 them for getting them off the roads.
She was damn lucky she didn't kill someone's. She literally passed out behind the wheel.
And she left her baby, her helpless baby, home alone.
That should tell you enough about that woman's sense of judgement.
That mother should not be allowed to have custody of that baby ever again.
I love my baby so, so much that I left him alone at home to make his own bottles and change his own diaper. He also has to save himself if there's a fire, or a burglary, or if he pukes and chokes.
Don’t leave long enough to need change or new bottle jees parents today
That's just one reason mothers need to do the right thing by their babies.. Your breasts tell you it's feeding time before the baby even starts to fuss..
You eat right, you don't drink or do drugs..
Bottle mothers are just not maternal enough to raise babies..
This is just one case here.. She doesn't care at all about the baby and probably gave birth to hold on to a deadbeat father..
@@RcPlayer-tt2vwthey were being sarcastic and pretending they were the drunk lady
@@Kimberliss42I breastfed but think you're being highly unfair saying bottle-feeding mothers aren't maternal enough.
Some young adults don't realise that the party ends when kids come along.
Even if she didn't have a kid drunk driving is disgusting. No PARTY excuses that.
How about a babysitter!?
Some older adults too.
It doesn't have to. She could have left the baby with her husband and gone out. Where is he?
that's so not true
She’s crying like a baby, how poetic. And how rude of the baby for not answering the door for the police, it wasn't raised right.
😂 Thank you for making me laugh after seeing such a sad video.
Where's Dad?
Baby wasn’t gonna open the door for strangers 😂
The baby said, “Come back with a warrant…..and a bottle of milk!” 😅
You are not funny
I would not treat a pet this way, let alone a little baby.
Her dog was left outside. Probably ok but still.
That beautiful little child!
What make someone think leaving your child alone is ok!?
The cop was amazing-little guy needed someone to hold him so he wasn’t alone!
This broad and the guy who left his daughter in the car while he played video games make a perfect match.
The Dr’s husband 37, outside Tucson who is now charged with 1st degree murder bc he did the same with his older kids 59 times🥲🥹
My heart breaks for that baby boy. I have a baby and i couldnt imagine leaving him in a house by himself to get drunk. She's awful.
Those officers must be daddies!!! So sweet.
POINTING HIGH POWER RIFLES at a simple drunk driver (outside her vehicle) IS DISGUSTING!!!
She didn't look like she hated herself in that mugshot.
Id hate myself if i had a shrunken head and horse teeth too
Thank u that's exactly what I said. Huge smile for someone who hates herself..she's a pos
evil and so useless
Typical addict. Peaks and valleys. Don't try and make sense of it. That kid needs a new family.
@@mplslawnguy3389no, not typical addict. you're excluding the thousands of people who worked to be better than this, including me. this is typical for an addict that doesnt care about anyone else
The baby needs to be cared for by a responsible adult. CPS needs to get involved. Unreal scenario.
How tf do you leave a 5 mo old alone. This is infuriating
Bravo to the officers who took care of the baby.
She loves her baby so much, she left it home alone to go out drinking. Why not stay home and drink? Why not drop the baby at Grandma's house or hire a baby sitter? I could understand if Clare was a teenage Mom but she is 23 years old and should have known better.
At noon. She went out day drinking after abandoning her child alone.
No, I don't even understand teen moms. I was a mom at 14. Once I became a mom, my teen years were over. It was a hard realization, but there is no excuse if you choose to bring life into this world.
Heartbreaking. That poor child. Horrible grandma and mother. Praying the baby is safe.
Yep! Both a DISGRACE to women and mothers, alike!! Looks like it's generational stupidity and selfishness.
This is not a "mother" it's a child who coincidentally has a baby
Danger to society.
That's disgusting I hope she gets in trouble for how irresponsible of a mother to do she should get jail time
MANY people would give everything they have to have a baby… start treating them like the precious gifts they are! ❤
Despicable woman. I hope that the child gets better care in the future. The police were fantastic.
She is despicable. A five month old INFANT she left alone to go drinking? I am horrified!!!!! An infant could easily pass away if left unattended for hours at a time. Just cruel and neglectful and abusive!!!! Woman needs rehabilitation
She needs something a little bit more permanent than rehab.
Also despicable is POINTING HIGH POWER RIFLES at a simple drunk driver (outside her vehicle).
A simple drunk driver?? She was actively trying to kill everyone else on those streets , in a way. You know what I mean. But yeah she wasn't a a threat to the police per se. But when they pulled her over they didn't know who else was in there or who she was .... It was probably handled as a felony stop , so there would be rules and procedures . So I wouldn't call it despicable or negligent or malicious... But her??? Yeah she's despicable
@@Canadianguy-d5d my previous comment was directed to your post about the police being despicable for pointing rifles at a "simple drunk driver " when they stopped her....
@@Canadianguy-d5d left her BABY alone for like 24hrs to go drink way more than “simple” drunk driving lmao
Thank you officers for looking after the baby, BIG THUMBS UP,

The grandmother is strange woman ,,she never asked about the baby not once
Absolutely 💯. Perhaps she has done this many times before but never been caught.
They muted it at that point in the ring call.
how can you say you love your child, yet abandon the child to go drinking. some people don't deserve kids.
