I've been stuck in the house for a while going through treatments for AML..Leukemia.. so I can't tell you how much I appreciate you taking the time to upload these videos. My gf and I watch all of your videos, just sit here completely amazed and in awe of the beautiful glaciers and mountains. You guys look so happy there, so happy together.. Just wanted to say that I hope you have a long happy life together and take every chance to explore that comes your way. I can't wait to be able to feel snow again and just stand in the rain.. but until then I'll continue to watch you guys laugh and goof off :)
Gunny529D Sending you mighty energy for excellent outcome for your AML treatments. This is a lovely post. Wishing you health, complete and swiftly arriving.
I love that you are all appreciative of the little joys in life. Its hard to explain to people that just dont get it, how much happier you can be once you notice the small things in life. A fun sound, event, activity. I am excited for the future 4 wheeling videos and all the snowmen waiting to be built. And your fist snowball fight... with a stranger lol.
Watching someone enjoy simple things for the first time just gives a new appreciation to people who take such for granted. Thank you for sharing your perspective! And don't stop enjoying the "little things"!
Cory, mad respect for not filming everything that happens. You take the time to appreciate others privacy as well as appreciating the happiness around you. I love your vlogs!
What a great family fun day! This was a very heartwarming video. And seeing all those rocks! Look at all the people you inspired! Now you guys need some ***** to get connected with your inner animal!
Kristen's parents are adorable! And Kristen looks as beautiful as ever! I love her jacket, looks so good on her. Cory you look so happy, and I couldn't help but smile ear to ear while watching this. Thank you for this! I needed that little pick me up this week! -Emma
Absolutely agree on both.. great jacket. Her Parents are GREAT. I'm still going through all the past videos.. so don't know if His parents are in any yet. If not, looking forward to it.
Awesome blog like always Cory. You and Kristen really seem to be made for each other and it's adorable to see you together. Congrats for your first REAL snowfall. I live in Canada so i know snow very well. To Kristen thank you to make Cory happy, you two are very cute together and we can feel the love that you have for each other. You seem a very nice young lady and you family seem a very nice too. Finally, thank you to not be camera shy and to share your life with Cory like Cory share his life with you. Not everyone would have accepted to be filmed. :)
You know Cory, I was dealing with slight depression when I started watching you. After seeing how happy life can be, I've gone out and done some really cool things! I even found a river that's frozen over and it makes a slightly different, but equally as cool noise when you skip it! Thanks for showing me that life isn't just studies and work. There's happiness out there, you just have to find it :)
Grinpaint i think its Portal 2 OST Volume 1 - I Made It All Up but it could also be this one, Portal 2 OST Volume 3 - Space Phase they are pretty much the same tough.
Grinpaint A very direct way to find it is to look in the Portal 2 files (assuming you're on PC), in pak01_dir (use GCFScape), go to sound > music > mainmenu > portal2_background05.wav For the individual sounds within that piece, go to sound > music > sp_a2_column_blocker_l{1,2,3,4,5}_01.wav
So this is on my recommended and I decide to click whatever you know, and then within the first couple of seconds I'm like "woah, this is the dude that made that cat song a few years back!"
I had a bad day. I was crying when I was watching this video. You managed to make me crack up, through the tears, when you kicked off your flip flops in the snow. Thank you for making these videos. Sometimes you truly make my day. :)
Side note, I met you when you were in SLC. It's kinda cool when my friends bring up the rock skipping video and I get to say "I met that guy" and flash them a pic of the two of us. Lol
Cory your happines gives me the good chills :) It is so lovely to se you get so happy and exited when seeing things for the first time. Its so pure and true. Well it seems like it. OR your a great actor :D... works too... love to you guys. From Denmark :)
I'm watching this video again about 1 month later, I saved it into my browser. And it's still awesome and beautiful to see how excited you all are about the skipping stones and ice and the creapy sound and especially you Cory about the snow falling on you and on Kristen (she is really cute with snow on her hair). I have tears in my eyes because it's so full of so beautiful moments! I love excitement and arround me there are not so many so excited people - at least not about this kind of things. I think I have to work on myself to keep my own excitement or maybe I have to get it back, because it's still there but it's not as strong as it could be or as strong as it is my nature.
***** My elementary teacher wrote me a poem in my friendship book that said: World is full of little joys, you just have to see them (something like that, not word by word translation). That was long time ago, I'm 36 now, however, I still think that it's true and that it goes for me. ;)
DudeLikeHELLA Yeah there is lots to do there ( outdoors anyway) but it is really hard to find a job making decent money so you either end up working all the time or not having any money to do anything. Very little job opportunity there. At least where I was. Seems like the opposite in Alaska.
Cory. My favorite thing about you. Is that you have a child like sense of wonder. It is awesome. That and you are Amazingly Talented & Funny. If I come to Alaska I would love to actually be able to hang out with you. You would be an awesome friend.
It's so bizarre to see someone enjoy something you've seen all your life so much. I can't wait to see your reaction when there's so much snow it reaches your thighs.
snow falling on and sticking to some one is very childhood reminiscent. I remember playing in the snow with all my friends and during heavy snow or very cold snow days it would stick. then 2 days later the snow is black and ugly because i live in the city and the city sucks. lmao
That's the only reason I dislike snow. It gets plowed into piles in parking lots and by the side of the road, and they don't melt because large quantities of ice melt slower than small quantities and the temperature doesn't change, so the ice just gets blacker and blacker from the car exhaust. EW
The cartridge thing works because the humidity in your breath makes a better contact when you put the cartridge in. It also destroys the connection faster
chibiskittles Dust is not an issue with those contacts. The contacts are too large for dust to interfere with them. Unless there's a pile of dust in there.
True, I always just rubbed the tip of my finger on the connections of the cartridge which got it working and did not degrade it at all over time. :) Mine all still work and their saves are all still there. :)
The nes game thing works because when you blow on it, it removes the dust from the cartridge, but people started putting them under their shirt because the water vapor in your breath can damage the game, so the shirt stops the water vapor but not the air
nah dust doesn't stop the game from working unless your cart is extremely dusty. Taking the cart out and putting it back in is what does it. The friction of the pins inside the connector is doing much more to clean than your blowing on them.

the nes trick was more to do with the moisture in your breath creating better conduction between the cart and the slot, once the initial electrical impulse has had have happened the connection is/was never broken to the extent of requiring the same conduction levels
Growing up I never recall anyone using their shirt (at least where I lived). Just straight up blowing on the inside of the cart and then putting it back in, always did the trick.
I love your family. You and your woman have the best relationship, and I love your childlike wonder of the world. It's so wonderful to see people enjoy things like being outdoors and exploring fun things that aren't on a screen. It's good to get out of your house. And yes, you are capturing it on video, but still, it's beautiful. Don't ever lose your wonder. 😊😊😍😍😉😉
***** No, I never lived anywhere in the snow. And the only time I've been to the snow is when I was a baby and don't remember it, Kinda But, i do love cold weather C;.
The plastic bag creates a gap between the reader and the magnetic strip. Supposedly the gap let's the reader see the space between "nonmagnetic" and "magnetic" bits in the strip more easily. When a card gets damaged it smears the magnetic bits into the nonmagnetic. They're strong enough to throw the reader off normally, but weak enough that a plastic bag creates enough distance to let the reader not read the smeared sections but it still reads the magnetic parts properly.
Hi Cory, saying hello from Nebraska. Say DUDE, next time you visit the ice'd over lake, bring some golf balls and bounce them across.......OR, you can do what I did and LIKE bring a golf club and hit the balls. They bounce across the ice FOREVER and the sound is HELLA amazing!!
Well it also depends on the size. It sounds really good on a large pond, or small-medium size lakes. On really small ponds though, meh. It makes a sound but it doesn't sound that great.
Corey, this is just something funny I noticed, its not supposed to make you mad but you seriously said to your wife at 11:50 "You look so more beautiful with snow on you." If you take enough time and realize what that means if you have a weird mind :p
The bag trick works with some credit cards that don't read because the reader is having trouble distinguishing interference form the worn card or reader from the correct data and by placing the card in a bag you take the dirt out if the equation and the reader has a better chance of reading it. Another thing people do is place a piece of scotch tape across the magnetic strip and then pull it off to remove dirt from the card and then place a new piece of tape over the strip to essentially do the same thing as what the bag is doing.
actually its a magnetic strip that reads as numbers the individual numbers can be pulled too close together from always swiping one direction and adding the bag and therfore making the card further away from the reader makes the scanner can like a cone instead of a line.
Oh god, Cory, are you trying to kill me?! Thsi video was greaat until yos said beeautuiful lioke 15 tumes in a roow. Oh god,, I can alreAFT FEEL I'm gettibd hamnered...

You've never had Swedish fish? It's a kinda waxy thing somewhere in between a jelly bean and a gummy bear and yes, they're shaped like fish. They're not the be all but they're kinda nice.
hagamapama I'm very familiar with that kind of candy but I didn't knew that it was called Swedish fish :P I'm from Sweden so that's why I thought it was so funny :) After some googling I found out that they were made by a Swedish candy company but only distributed in America - so despite the name we swedes doesn't have any Swedish fish :P We have a lot of other wine gum candies though ;)
Malin Åström Jonsson They are distributed here in Sweden as well by Malaco. I don't think they're called anything specific though other than "wine gum fish" or something though. Dem är ju med i Malaco's Gott & Blandat och säljs även som lösgodis fast tror inte dem finns att köpa separat så som i USA. :-)
Love seeing people that are older and know how to live like they're kids again.
You should totally get an RC car, tie some tin cans and drive it over the lake!
DUDE!!! YES!!!
DudeLikeHELLA Please....Do it.....and record the whole thing without cutting it out..............i beg...
DudeLikeHELLA Do it please...It will be EPIC!

This is quite possibly the happiest video I've ever watched, genuinely wonderful, thankyou :D
Makes for sentimental smiles and empathetic happiness; I agree, they're amazing.
Why is this so entertaining & why do I love the sounds so much 😂
I love this video and the first one. The genuine laughter makes me feel good.
Free amusement, definitely the new thing to take guests.

I love how you put in the Portal 2 music for whenever it snows. It really adds to the already _magical_ moment!
So that music in the end was from Portal 2? Can you please tell what's the treck is called? I really loved it.

i think its Portal 2 OST Volume 1 - I Made It All Up
but it could also be this one, Portal 2 OST Volume 3 - Space Phase

I agree about the Portal music. Perfect for making that kind of other-earthly sound. Very evocative.
DAVID Yeah it's I made it all up. Space phase is similar but it has the companion cube singing and strings, but is also shorter.
So this is on my recommended and I decide to click whatever you know, and then within the first couple of seconds I'm like "woah, this is the dude that made that cat song a few years back!"

Someone who enjoys life and loves the people and things around them. Very refreshing to see
We are all viewing the video differently based off the comments . But all I see is a family having fun and enjoying time together . This is amazing 🙏🏻

I’ve seen only one video by this couple and I already think they are the cutest couple in the vlogging category
Love looking at old people’s reactions to rocks hitting the frozen lake instead of seeing the lake itself.... entertaining
Greetings from England! Thank you for your videos, they really help me feel better (I suffer with anxiety).
I wish I had a lake at my house, all I have is a tiny, dirty pond
It's so bizarre to see someone enjoy something you've seen all your life so much. I can't wait to see your reaction when there's so much snow it reaches your thighs.

is the sound unique to the lake? or can you do this anywhere?
any frozen lake
I would assume that the sound (pitch) depends mainly on the thickness of the ice, the surface area and possibly the depth of the water underneath
yeah bro you're right
Kenney Madsen So everything that makes up a lake is a contributing factor in the acoustics of ice. Nice discovery Edison.
Well it also depends on the size. It sounds really good on a large pond, or small-medium size lakes. On really small ponds though, meh. It makes a sound but it doesn't sound that great.
28° not to bad.
Me: Boi in Texas where I live (Houston) it's freaking 80° not even lying!! 😑😑😑

4:15 There you go. Thats all.
Love how your parents turned into little kids skipping the rocks. So beautiful. Great memory for your family.

6:53 for the thumbnail
Looks like you're going to have a lot of wasted viewers by the end of this video haha.
A lot of them are probably going to have alcohol poisoning lol.
8:39 Swedish fish?? Seriously, is the candy called Swedish fish? xD
Surströmming?
No, Vingummi :P
Malin Åström Jonsson They are distributed here in Sweden as well by Malaco. I don't think they're called anything specific though other than "wine gum fish" or something though. Dem är ju med i Malaco's Gott & Blandat och säljs även som lösgodis fast tror inte dem finns att köpa separat så som i USA. :-)
I love how happy you guys are
Cool video, thanks! the sounds and sights most take for granted
sped kids would love this. They would love it the first time, then forget about it, then come back and love it again.
Special education children have autism, not Alzheimers, jeez. They can still form memories.
+Raijyn no, Cameron is right
Cameron Reimer you are an asswipe.
I hate how happy these people are.
Kim Jong Skill 😂😂😂
Jealous
Kim Jong Skill MORMANS.
This reminds me of how boring and repetitive my life is
I hate happiness all round.
4:36 You've got one helluva arm. O_O
but oh well, it's wonderful to see people enjoying nature and its beauties!
These people are as easily entertained as toddlers. I can’t believe how excited they are about skipping rocks on ice.
