I wish this set had a middle silver colour.

Glossier transparent paints and inks are generally better with Metallic mediums. The matting agent in normal paints tends to dull down the metallic effect.
The best part with the transparents, is that if the mix doesn't quite give the saturatation you want, you can just glaze over it while still maintaining the metallic effect.

Their metallics is the only set I did not get. I have so many metallics already, usually prefer GW. I should have their 4th paint expansion & Glaze Wash medium. Eager to see what that does. Love the colors, just want to get a smoother layer. As to your channel name, "Repaint, and thin no more!!" ;)!

That's interesting, as I think the GW metallics are some of the worst on the market - have constant issues with the medium they use in it.

Thanks for this video. I was on the fence with Pro Acryl Dark Steel and Bronze, but they look great.
I tried the Pro Acryl Rich Gold on a model primed with Retributor Armour spray and the coverage was extremely disappointing. Do you think mixing Rich Gold with the Bronze or Copper would help with the coverage? Was the coverage similar with the Bright Gold?
I was so let down by the Rich Gold I didn't want to buy any more of their metallic paints.

Hi Kevin & thanks for your comment! Actually I have to say - I love the Rich gold and I have found it cover better than any other gold I have tested! Mixing it might improve or get some gold pigments, that will increase both coverage and shine. Dont wanna insult you 😇 but have you shake the bottle really well? I tought I did but opened it and saw that the paint still unmixed...

@@haveguitar I shook it up as much as the other Pro Acryl paints I have, but this is my first metallic paint from them. I'll throw it on the paint shaker (which is not near my hobby desk in case something happens) and give that paint another try. I'm very interested in that Green Stuff World pigment; I need to find some.

@@kevinprice7620 Maybe I should add this is my other TH-cam account, that I'm answering through :) Not sure if it could be bad batch, that you got? I know I have tried some other metallic colors that were highly recommended by renown painters and... well, they never lived up to the hype.

There is no metal in the metal medium, so you need to also add some metallic paint!
