That wasn't an English accent, it was an over-exaggerated Rick accent. Rick's accent being what every European actor thinks Americans sound like, with a slight southern twang. It was indeed funny.
Just gonna chuck an answer in for Gavin's "First time a white person and black person met" question. I don't know if this is the first occurance, but the Roman general Gaius Suetonius Paulinus led an expedition of his legions south of the Atlas mountains in Africa, for exploration. He scoped out the land, met African tribes, mapped out the geography and sized up the place (for conquest). He came to the conclusion that conquest was not necessary and nothing came of his meeting with the African peoples. He said hello, goodbye, buggered off. It was the same to him as when he met British natives on his conquests, didn't think of them as any different. Racism is quite a new thing, basically since colonial slavery. Slavery as existed for a long time, but it never knew race until colonialism. :( Random rant...
I say that depends how you define "White person" as (semitic) Egyptian and Phonecian adventurers went into Ghana and Sudan hundreds of years before the (indoeuropean) Celtic and Germanic tribes crossed into Morocco and Libya. I tried to research the Greek Africa-campaigns in school but got nowhere fast.
Axel Kallesøe Cheers for that, mate. As I said, I didn't know if it was the first instance, just the first that came to mind. Of course the light-skinned Carthaginians had darker-skinned Numidians in their armies so they would have been very familiar with each other. :) Lexabboy Scipio fought the Carthaginians, but never travelled south past the Atlas mountains into Africa proper. The Carthaginians were more Mediterranean than African.
This ties (a bit) into Gavins question of the Presidents poo as the Germans devised a system involving laxatives to keep their diamond mines safe and no history book mentions whether the checking of the excrement was a European or African job. Both seem equally unlikely.
I love the fact that in these podcasts can cover every conceivable topic, from time travel, school remodeling, stupid people on planes, to advances of phone and movie technology. Hilarious, insightful, thought-provoking, juvenile, and off-the-wall.
I know the roosterteeth guys and girls will likely not see this, but I really appreciate everything you put out and everything you have done for the internet community. You've brought thousands of people together and my girlfriend and I even met through the website. ;) if we have a kid, it'll legally belong to you guys right?
The weirdest thing for aliens would be explaining that billions of people hold a device that has the potential to teach you everything humans have learned, yet we use it to watch funny cat videos.
In 1559 Matteo Realdo published a book called De re anatomica in which he described the "seat of woman's delight." He concluded, "since no one has discerned these projections and their workings, if it is permissible to give names to things discovered by me, it should be called the love or sweetness of Venus."
***** ehhh I like Barbara but I'll give you that she doesn't add a a whole lot to the podcast. I'd like to see more of Ray and Michael on the podcast. More of a rotating cast that doesn't have Jack.
Puff,TheMagic I don't know why either and I watched the whole thing but I'm an adult, I've got shit to do I can't sit and pay attention to an hour and 50 min of content without feeling like I wasted it. Like most people, podcasts are a nice way to get information and hear stories while doing something else like making dinner or cleaning we can't all memorize when an arbitrary line comes up.
45:09 is definitely going to be an animated adventure of adam getting a plane built around him, Gus's story of him in the prop plane, and gavin referencing louis and the tiny cup! I'm calling it! Internet you are my proof!!!!!
I've been listening to the podcast for like 5 years, and honestly they don't exactly repeat stories, not identically - they always say they already told it a long time ago, give a summarized version, then *tell more details* about the story than they did the 1st time. I like when stories get repeated, because they always tell more details the 2nd time.
So I've never been on an airplane before; never even been on a vacation, and have only left the state (Massachusetts) to NH and RI via car. (I'm turning 21 next month) But in 4 months, I'm moving to AZ, and I must say, I'm completely unafraid of flying. The plane part of travel - totally fine with it. However, I'm _absolutely_ petrified when I think about the airport part of it. I have no idea how it works, what I can bring and can't, how bad it is, losing things, etc. I'm genuinely terrified of that part. Watching the RT Podcast regularly has probably been the worst idea for me in retrospect.
I have traveled via airplane many times before. As far as airports go, in a nutshell, you get the the airport, if it's a cab it will drop you off at your terminal, if it's your own car, you park it, and for me I have to take the shuttle train to my terminal from the parking lot. You check in at the desk for whatever airline you're flying on, from there you make your way to the security checkpoint where they simply ask you to place your bags and remove anything from your pockets into a bin so they can scan it for obvious reasons followed by a metal detector. Then you just go wait at your gate and board when your plane is ready. This may seem fast but keep in mind, this can take a lot longer depending on how busy it is. It can be a thing to worry about, but when you get to this point, you will find it should be very easy to get through.
Can anyone else dream of a future moment in time in there own life? could be you saying something or doing something in a dream and one day at random you just remember out of nowhere that you have done or said this before, exactly the same done to the last detail? Never important stuff just general things like bringing up a subject about something that just happened?
If they make a Gauntlet Season 3 I want them to make the best Achievement Hunter team they can. Personally I think Ray and Ryan would definitely be on it but I'm not sure who else.
Id probably have Ray, Ryan, Jack and Michael to have the best team. But the show is about entertainment so having said that the team would most probably be Gavin, Michael, Geoff and Ray.
Honey does not spoil ever. The only thing that happens to it is that it turns into sugar. Some honey won't even do that. If it is of a high enough quality, then it will last for years.
I think he meant it was more accessible, which is certainly is, easy to understand, difficult to master. I would even say it much more of a party game than it is a fighter, especially considering it's so unbalanced.

23:55 I love how much Burnie cares. Like he may seem all rough, but you know that really he's the company dad.
Watching this 10 years later.. it really hits hard
omg Burnie's English accent.... omfg... I can't breathe! roflmao *gasp* hahahahaha
Incredibly inaccurate but funny.
Owain Davies
That wasn't an English accent, it was an over-exaggerated Rick accent. Rick's accent being what every European actor thinks Americans sound like, with a slight southern twang. It was indeed funny.
Is this really how people on the internet typed 10 years ago?
Oh man, thank you Burnie Burns. That Walking Dead impersonation you did left me in legit tears. Hardest I have laughed in such a long time. Thank you.
I have heard people from Georgia and ricks accent is pretty accurate burnie sounds like someone is suffocating him
to me he sounds like everybody else in the show
"I flipped off a school bus!"
"Why?!"
"Because I'm an adult!"
The school bus story made me laugh so hard that my mom came in cause she thought I was crying.
Same here. I have no idea why I thought it was so funny.
todays RT podcast lesson is brought to you by Gavin
"don't bite the clit"
the more you know
Know you can say that these podcasts are educational
WolfSaint VII You totally misused the word know.
Indeed I did. I meant now, but whatever
bret morgan Maybe he was making a pun. Ever think of that? Also ignore what he said.
I laughed pretty hard... I think "Don't bite it." Is the next T-Shirt...
[edit] Add Burnie flipping people off and Gus plunging a toilet
TH-cam has been recommending me old podcasts and I couldn't be happier.
Holy shit, the podcast is uploaded on TIME? This is a rare occurrence.
This is the first pod cast I've got to watch all the way threw (even though it took me two days to watch it) happy 11 years you guys! Love you all!
I think Gus, Burnie, Gavin and Barbara/Jack will always be my favourite combination of people on the podcast
Agreed except for Jack he talk's over ppl all the time
You mean gus , burnie, gavin, barbara/ jack and gus right
def gav and burnie but too much gus is a bad thing and Barbara only puns, brings nothing to the conversation. Michael, gavin, burnie and Ashley ftw
corben oneill Shut up.
I love Gus, Gavin, Barbara/jack, and burnie. All are great though!
Just gonna chuck an answer in for Gavin's "First time a white person and black person met" question.

Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus

Both seem equally unlikely.
Praetorian Legionnaire True but he met black peoble, you can read it i guess it was livius or silius italicus.
The conversations just get funnier whenever Gus starts questioning Gavin's dumb comments.
i love it when burnie takes time off his job at gamestop to chat on the podcast
Lame
I love the fact that in these podcasts can cover every conceivable topic, from time travel, school remodeling, stupid people on planes, to advances of phone and movie technology. Hilarious, insightful, thought-provoking, juvenile, and off-the-wall.
33:52 Burnie did the funniest Rick Grimes impersonation I've heard yet.
New RTAA - Burnie flips off a school bus.
Best end-of-podcast music ever.
Burnie's Rick impression is so fucking hilarious.
Burnie's impression of Rick was actually pretty spot on...
a roosterteeth t-shirt that says "Don't bite it" would be brilliant
I would so buy that. XD
what's great is the fact that they could just have the rooster teeth logo on the front of the shirt.
This is one of the funniest podcasts ever!
Oh you GOTTA do a RTAA for the last part with the flipping off the school bus!! Hilarious, can't stop laughing
at 1:41:59 Barbra says you're very fast Gavin says What and then she nervously answers you're a fast runner. XD made my day
Gus's face when saying "don't bite it" was priceless!
This is a good thing to watch while sick, it makes you kind of feel better. (An RT podcast in general, not just this one.)
Burnie's story about the school bus needs to be an animated adventure xD
Jordan! Make an animated adventure if you can for 33:45.
I love Gavin's dramatic head turn at 29:01. So great!
I love how Burnie's justification for flipping off the school bus is "because I'm an adult"
I know the roosterteeth guys and girls will likely not see this, but I really appreciate everything you put out and everything you have done for the internet community. You've brought thousands of people together and my girlfriend and I even met through the website. ;) if we have a kid, it'll legally belong to you guys right?

Thank you rooster teeth. You guy's keep me entertained when I do homework late at night. You guys are great.
Brunie & Gavin make the podcast really good.
Burnie flipping off the school bus was amazing! One of my favourite podcasts so far :)
In 1559 Matteo Realdo published a book called De re anatomica in which he described the "seat of woman's delight." He concluded, "since no one has discerned these projections and their workings, if it is permissible to give names to things discovered by me, it should be called the love or sweetness of Venus."
You dont make gunpowder, You go into a field in the middle of the night and you kill a creeper.
just stop
Hammer Time
IceBankMyselfTV That was great.
I appalled u sir u have bested me
You gotta be careful though, otherwise you spend the next day filling in craters and bonemeal-ing the ground to re-grow the grass.
Burnie's fake british accent has to be the funniest thing I've ever heard
The conversation about going back 1000 years was the best on the podcast in a while
My favorite podcast crew has got to be Gus, Gavin, Michael, and Burnie. Anyone else?
You forgot Gus.
TheNykaN and double gus
I like Gus , Gavin and Burnie and then barb / michael / jack kinda on rotation as the fourth personally
TheNykaN he didn't forget Gus
Gus Michael Gavin Miles Burnie
lost it when burnie did the accents hahahahahahaha
My most recent school dream was one of those where I didn't have pants, an my worst reaction to it in the dream was, "I should wear pants tomorrow."
This is always my Favorite mix of people on the Podcast! :D
It's usually pretty hard to make me laugh, but Burnie's Rick Grimes impression killed me
one of the best podcasts in a while
I hope we get to see Burnie do more impressions sometime. they were hilarious
who are you *looks away * wait what who are you
Sollux Captor who are you talking about? *looks at them and looks away* what's going on? *looks at arm* wtf? when did I put them mark on my arm?
WILL
FALL

Lmao Gavin!
I'M STILL IN THE AIR!! -Ryan Haywood 2014
The lack of Jack in these podcasts makes me so happy.
bitch don't kill my viiiiiibe or however the fuck that song goes.
***** ehhh I like Barbara but I'll give you that she doesn't add a a whole lot to the podcast. I'd like to see more of Ray and Michael on the podcast. More of a rotating cast that doesn't have Jack.
xScreamfinity I just like the podcast honestly, whoever is on.
BrodieLewin16 I feel the same way. I don't mind Jack at all, he is hilarious when he wants to be.
Jack Black's nonexistent evil twin: Jack Lack.
I love the stories of the early days Gus and Burnie tell.
56:00 Gus finally joined the android master race.
Praise Duarte
I actually figured out how to whistle after Gus said he couldn't just out of pure curiosity. This is awesome.
Can't wait for 3 years time.
why?
Harry Jones
Did you even watch the video?...
Harry Jones It's in the first 3 mins of the damn video xD
Puff,TheMagic He probably saw the comment and asked before he reached the point in the video.
I died laughing when Burnie did the accents. SO FUNNY!!!!
lol i remember that really old podcast where burnie was pissed about the school becoming like a doughnut factory or something like that
45:09 is definitely going to be an animated adventure of adam getting a plane built around him, Gus's story of him in the prop plane, and gavin referencing louis and the tiny cup! I'm calling it! Internet you are my proof!!!!!

33:47 "Ryan's still in the air" Quality lets play reference :D
I get the impression that Burnie sees Gavin like a son! It's kind of cool and interesting.
He did know him since he was a teenager so yea it's right to say he may see him like a son
From what Gavin shares on Twitter, I'd say Geoff treats him more like a son than Burnie (at least while they're out of the office).
overseer06 Fair enough!
That was the best Rick accent ever by Bernie! "Look at these people, there people!" Amazing!! These podcasts though, I swear! ☺
That outro song... I'm pretty sure that's what having schizophrenia would sound like.
its the halo theme **flies away**
Roman Karaba Jr. I'd say "thanks cap!" but I don't want to bring 9gag here.
Roman Karaba Jr. dude I knew it was from halo but I totally agree with XplosiveCookie it's fucking weird sounding.
XplosivCookie Because 9gag sucks
By the way, guys, Daniel still gives 100% in everything they do for Slo-Mo vids, to this day.
will geoff ever feature in a podcast again?
I do not think so.
I doubt it. BTW Arsenal won't finish top four
they said in an earlier podcast that he is too busy trying to rangle 8 employees all the time
Dean Kruse the achievement hunters you mean.
Thomas Campbell Was that really necessary?
You guys got me collating my photos :) seems like I have stopped caring about keeping them all in one place..
Earliest I have ever been to a RT video
This podcast was my favorite podcast yet! Burnie was so happy and funny this time and so was everyone else it was just a great podcast! :D

LOL, via car! just say in a car
Moving to AZ is the worst thing I have ever done in my life... Have fun :p
But ya planes are great I actually love to travel by plane.
Living in AZ, it really depends on where you live. Dont let that other asshat discourage you, where are you moving in AZ?
startwarskidfan2 Moving to Flagstaff. I've only heard nice things about the place other than shitty winters but I already have that being from MA.
I have traveled via airplane many times before. As far as airports go, in a nutshell, you get the the airport, if it's a cab it will drop you off at your terminal, if it's your own car, you park it, and for me I have to take the shuttle train to my terminal from the parking lot. Yes, it's happened to me.
Yeah, that happens to me alot
Same here
Same
I dreamt that it will happen to me too.
I love these podcast that are longer than an hour.
On a side note: Hulu should finally expand their service to europe :D
time4popcorn.eu

I read that URL as something _VERY_ different.

***** You get it free a week later. Stop being so entitled.
***** how do they make money dip shit
***** It's $10 every 6 months not monthly.
I'd love to see an animated adventure of burnie's bus story. Best thing ever.
I hope Burnie's bus story becomes an RTAA
These guys have amazing chemistry
Best outro music ever.
The last 15 mins of this Podcast are the best. I caaaaannnnnn't
This is the best cast combo by far. (The only thing that could make it a tiny bit better would be Michael)
Last 40 mins of podcast are gold! :DDD
Probably my favorite podcast so far
oh man, this one has multiple RTAA moments for sure
best pod cast ever laughing out loud in the middle of uno student hall
New RTAA at 1:46:26
This has to be one of their best podcasts, it only got better. And the end... dear god that was gold.. lol
Honey does not spoil ever. The only thing that happens to it is that it turns into sugar. Some honey won't even do that. If it is of a high enough quality, then it will last for years.
Gus's face when he says "Don't bite it".
ROFLMAO!
Wish Geoff would join the podcast again even for just a one off i miss the older drunk tank podcasts

"Ryan is still in the air"
Nice one Gav. I lol'd.

ekroizm you also can shitpost on purpose

"Clean that up and don't bite it."

Did Burnie just imply that Melee is LESS competitive than COD 4?
Burnie plz
Melee is more competitive tbh.
Of course it is. its a bloody fighter.
I think he meant it was more accessible, which is certainly is, easy to understand, difficult to master.
I would even say it much more of a party game than it is a fighter, especially considering it's so unbalanced.
Trevor Seelig
Sure, but COD4 is a million times easier to learn AND master is the point. Doesnt make it bad, but competitive? No way.
When people do super smash bro tournaments they use melee not brawl. That's says a lot. I play melee a lot more than COD.
I died on that Rick impression! CARL! CARRLLLL!
It's amazing just how little Gavin knows about British history.
Same can be said about Barbara and Canada
I love how they save easily the best story for the end. Great way to end it.
Nice Halo theme rendition at the end
Gavin with the 10th Doctor getup with "DON'T BITE!" quote bellow for the shirt.
Fun fact Maggie from the walking dead is British however she was born in Philadelphia
Ok thanks, a fact I won't remember
Her name is Lauren Cohan, knew her before the Walking Dead. I was excited when I heard she got a role in the show for season 2, and I certainly didn't expect her to become a series regular. Her accent is an American/British mix since she spent her childhood in America.
