- "In "1944" (2015) Director Elmo Nüganen portrays the actual events on the Eastern Front in Estonia in 1944, from the Battle Of Tannenburg Line, the July fighting on the Sinimäed Hills, until November, when the Sõrve peninsula was already conquered by the Soviet Army.
The war is shown through the eyes of participants in the events on both warring sides - the Estonians who fought on the side of the German Army in the 20th Estonian division Waffen-SS, and as part of the 8th Estonian Rifle Corps of the Soviet Army.
For residents of Estonia, it was a war in which everyone made their own choices. It is with such hard choices facing the main characters of the film - the soldiers of the opposing sides Karl Tammik and Jüri Jõgi - as well as their comrades, relatives, friends, and even strangers."

btw I have no clue what happened there at the end I just couldn't get rid of it tried a lot of stuff nothing seemed to work.
IF AN* ESTONIAN
Man just dropped the hardest WW2 Estonian edit and thought we wouldn't notice
honnestly a very good film
not even because of how good the war stuff was filmed but because of the human factor
фильм хуетень, просто антисовеская пропаганда
This is the best edit i have seen.
[Good job man...]🔥🔥🔥
It is very sad how Estonians and not only had to live under dictatorships throughout the 20th century. God bless the Baltic countries✝️. (it is a little strange for me that one soldier suddenly said in Russian red plague "Красная чума")
I understood why he said it was probably because of his personal reasons. There was something along the lines that the medal you see in the video is the only thing he has left from his family which indicates that during the brief soviet occupation from 1939-1941, his family was either shot or deported and sees the soviets were a plague that is gonna devour the country again.
@@nejtro this cross, was it a belonging of the krasnaya chuma guy?
@@nejtro oh, yeah, so if it is, then it's a Cross of St. George, so go figure
He was from Russian white emigree family, a Estonian Russian who fought against bolsheviks. His father was Russian officer and got this cross in WW1.
We have lived under other empires since the middle ages
This is a best edit in my life
one of the most amazing swing lynn edits out there for sure.
the story of the baltics is such a sad chapter, especially when we left them behind the iron curtain,we shouldn't have.
no, its not sad. Страны балтики достигли своего пика только когда были в составе СССР. Сейчас они являются такими же нищими как и до вхождения в состав СССР
Where can i watch the movie?
Fire content brudda🔥🔥🔥 remember me when you out the hood💯💯🙏🕊
one day bro imma ship you out of Malta back to Africa dw 💯💯
@@nejtro 😲🤯
For me this is one of the best Swing lynn edit, the only sad thing about it is that it is to short
Estonians has battle each other
Lived under dictatorships
Being send to serbia to die
But they never gave up a dream of Estonia
That is what makes me happy about the Estonian people
sad brother vs brother.
That's all from 1944? It's been a while since I saw it. I thought it was good but a lot of this looked like it was something older.
didnt include all the juice as i didnt want to put too many spoilers, the movie is great
@@nejtro did you know Estonian SS served as guards at the Nuremberg trials? Mark Felton does an interesting piece on the subject.
@@bman6065 yeap i know, something that was pretty unexpected when i found out first about it, but it made sense since many legionaires who made it out alive from czekoslovakia ran west, and they werent treated as nazis or warcriminals there.
@@bman6065holy crap I remember hearing that at one point
I don't know why but although I'm not estonian or whatever... it makes me emotional... I just can't understand this mix of emotions... scared, hopeless, crying, anger... and imagine that all was just because one man couldn't accept the fact he didn't got into art school...
im sorry but thats not the only fact, stalin was here as well, two evils, one more evil than other, and the soviets have taken soo much from my parents and their parents. but i do not mean to offend you.
2 evils one left and one right ( litterary )
and you found oyurself in the middle
the story of estonia is the story oof the average soldier
@@virxvirgo280Well, I'm from Poland so I can relate to both occupations. I've lost half of my family during that time, and the rest had to migrate to kazakhstan during the rest of war. Our nation fought till the end, losing over 6 million people. We know how it feels...
Just so you know, Estonia was the first to be declared “jew-free” while under german occupation
and before the war it was one of the most jew friendly countries to live in, unfortunate what took place
@@nejtro may all the people who died at the hands of the nazi scum rest in peace
you would have done the same with communists prreyiing on your country
Just because there was so small Jewish community in Estonia. And "under German occupation" - before in the free Estonia the Jewish community had so broad autonomy that it was hailed by the Jews all over the Europe.
where to watch?
nothing. changed.
Unnecessary death.
