De nada^^, también colgué el Aria de Antonia con Edda Moser. De esta opera, Assur solo tiene esta aria, pero muchas otras partes también son magníficas.
beautiful instrument and much flexibility that seems effortless---a singer is a singer good or bad and should not be compared to other singers each voice is unique--he is indeed in the league with Milnes--Ramey and Hvorostovsky---
@Sherrill Milnes Fan :: Joseph Rouleau wasn't a "horrible" bass. You underestimate his commanding vocal-presence in that role. He had the deepest / darkest voice yet heard here in the role of _Assur._ Give the guy a break. D'Arcangelo's virtuosity is masterly. He is carrying the trio, but his bass isn't as cavernous as Rouleau's & Rouleau's divisions are different. Singers all provide something different to the _same_ roles & here the bass, D'Arcangelo, is terrific in lively embellishments. ( Milnes is my favorite baritone, but do you really think he has Rossini virtuosity for _Assur ?_ )
It is simply ridiculous to put the great singer Ramey and the lyric baritone Hvorostovsky, who sang poorly of dramatic repertoire all his life, on a par (by the way, he used special microphones, because had a completely unfocused voice)

this is wonderfully singing. sure, he's no Samuel Ramey, but that's like saying a soprano is no Joan Sutherland or a tenor is no Franco Corelli.

Love Mr.d'Arcangelo and here he sings beautifully. Still, I think the role of Oroe suits him better than that of Assur.

Hvorostovsky is much worse than Milnes and Ramey. D'Arcangelo is not a bass but I think he is better than Abdrazakov.

Ramey is the best Assur - ever.
Very weak singing, strange fioraturas. After Sam Remay it is simply impossible to listen to this.
Not as good as Sam Ramey.
