I used to be an actor/stuntman in the 90's and had the honour of being a stuntman on 'Back in Action' with Roddy Piper and getting to meet and talk with him.
He was a total class act with a big heart as he could see i was a total fan and took the time between takes to invite me into his trailer and talk with me.
One of my fondest memories of those days.

The only real life element of the undertaker story that is actually true and not fictional is that his manager Paul Bearer was in fact a pall bearer prior to wrestling, and his brother Kane was near fatally burned in a house fire that the Undertaker started as a teenager.

I believe Roddy shared this story in his autobiography. Not 100% sure, but I remember reading a story to this effect. Cool hearing it from another side.

When I was a kid The Undertaker was this terrifying, unstoppable presence, so finding out years later that Mark Calaway is actually a super awesome dude is freaking weird.
So Roddy was like a Bizarro version of Hogan in this story.
