Fellow grew up in poverty and led a difficult life because of it, so he took a job that promised enough money that he'd never struggle again. Only for his boss to unwittingly show him that, actually, he'd still struggle, having to serve unreasonable rich men who'd exploit him without any regard for his well-being.
That is why Fellow changed his mind so quickly. If there was virtually no difference between being Playful Land's manager and being a regular conman along with Gidel, at least in the latter he didn't have to be, as Fellow himself put it, a servant for the same rich people he hated.
Now this is a well done explanation

Genuinely, I feel for Fellow. He is SMART. Look at what he can do with just a little push from his magic. If he had like a degree, he'd be heading a Sales department somewhere. Like he truly is a clever fox, but he couldnt go to school so he has no credentials or anyway to access the opportunities where he could Really shine
like if he's this good just by training himself, he'd be killer with formal education
Alright...I'm gonna say it...the boys walked the puppet transformation off WAAAAY too easily. Yeah, you can say they're used to stuff like this, but there's NO WAY any of them are leaving this park without a nightmare or two. You don't just get slowly and painfully turned into an inanimate object and lose your ability to speak with the threat of being TRAFFICKED over your head, and then walk out like 'Ugh, that was a pain, glad that's over!' Grim and Kalim were the ONLY ones with reasonable reactions to being turned back to normal, And then ending with a Twsitune...the stakes were WAY too high for this, but that's a rant for another day, cause dammit, that song is a BOP
honestly... im marking this down as adrenaline and the after effects of Fellows magic - is it cathartic? meh not enough oomph, is it random? no not really, like it can be explainable - like you would be surprised how when people reach a level of stress - they actually work harder to act less stressed bc It Is Not Safe to fall apart here - so they do stuff like - break the amusement park while singing a song - it has the signifiers of mania
but again its just not delivering the catharsis

but FOR REAL THO, let me put this into perspective
Pinnochio was Walt Disney's 2nd feature film of all time, in which he nakedly includes the depiction of human trafficking when a bunch of kids get taken to an island, turned into donkeys and sold to the circus, to the mines
this isnt even subtext, i just word for word described the scene that WALT OG DISNEY animated
the LEVEL OF IRONY is that modern disney can no longer stomach walt's work so they censor it like this! Can you imagine? if walt tried to pitch this movie to the disney execs today, he would get shot down - WALT DISNEY
Honestly same, like i would acept if they had a few lines with them being scared like, it didn't even have to mention the trafficking directly, just a few generics "will i never go home again? Never see my familly or friends again?" , and "where will they send us ? What will they do to us ? will i have to live the rest of my life being controled by the others ?"
Hell if they just putted a tense or sad music in the moments in the story where they are actually thinking about it would be enough, in this video ace and ortho thinking about what would happen to them had the comedy music, as well as when the captured ones were questioning themselfs why the hell they did that !?!?!?!
Also besides kalim and grim all the others should be hella pissed off, why none of them attacked or threated fellow ? Why not even a death glare ? A cold coment, light resentment or anoyance ? leona "i don't trust you from the start" kingscholar hello ?
But also to be fair this is kinda in line with their reactions to all the other dangerous situations
I mean after the overblots when they are sure the overblotted is okay the reactions are...pretty calm considering this dude almost killed them, and in a form that would certainly give them nightmares, hell leona and azul have comedic scenes after their overblot
In the events to, i think by this point they are kinda desensitized to danger, or maybe to the fear of danger
What i think it's missing it's a little bit of seriousness before the "everthing is fine again", just most of them being distrustfull or pissed off before agreeing to fellow, one line of each one would be enough
Also they being freed because fellow decided to flip off his boss is actually good, especially because he wanted them to destroy the park, just wish he had been more cautious here, since they could have chosen to just beat the hell outta of him
I love hearing kalim singing because it sounds so unique in a way i can't put my words into it

Honestly, Fellow is such a relatable character. I too, didn't go to school and stopped after fourth grade due to some issues, so I relate to Fellow. I'm envious of those people who can go to school like normal while I probably won't even finish school as I grow up

Okay! So what have we learned?:
1. Kalim either has ADHD and/or ADD. Or he's a dumb- Oh! That's it's own inside joke here.
2. Fellow Honest and Gidel will change their minds based on money. Sure we're free, but how many others have they turned into puppets and sold off?
3. Ace does NOT choose the group excursions from now on!

pfffft yeah poor Ace is going to get denied vacation/excursion choosing rights for a long time... until inevitably something that someone else chooses turns out horribly wrong because they all have the Main Character Curse, and then Ace gets to be salty about it XD

well, this is very likely off-screen speculation, but I would imagine that the boys could talk to the police about this at the very least. Just don't know whether or not that will do any good

The TWST boys in this event being so genuinely close to becoming legit human trafficking victims if Fellow didn't have a small moment with his brother that culminated in him going "Wait. Why the hell am I following this rich asshole's whims when I hate rich assholes???" is so crazy that it's actually funny. And they just shrug it off and do a Twistune right afterward 😭😭 Guys, if being at NRC has made you THIS desensitized to actual traumatic events then maybe school isn't all it's cracked up to be!! GO TO THERAPY!
