The fact that she made it all the way through security, not to mention actually sitting in a seat on the plane without a proper ID, or a boarding pass is very troubling at bare minimum, and they should have detained her and run her fingerprints to find her true identity.

Security is very tight with that stuff in major airports. One time the ticketing agent forgot to give me my 2nd (leg) ticket and the security guy noticed that and wouldn't let me thru. You can't get anything past security, so not sure how she managed to get thru. Must be a tiny airport (or she was lying).

This is a master class in how to be a con artist and how to get away with a crime. She is very careful with what words she uses and what she admits to law enforcement. She puts the blame on security and ticket/gate agents. This is why she was able to walk herself out. Truly not her first rodeo.

I hate that people will attempt to use "mental illness" to excuse this woman's actions or make it seem like she didn't know what she was doing. She knew EXACTLY what she was doing. She blended in with a large family at the TSA line, then requested a wheelchair so she could cut the line at the departure gate and get aboard the plane without having to show a boarding pass. Many mentally ill people are fully conscious of how wrong their actions are but attempt to use their condition as a way to avoid punishment.

TSA is one of the biggest scams perpetrated on us. They hire pretty much anyone that can pass a background check, and the agents get just the most basic of training. TSA agents are by and large just your average retail or fast food employee put in a much more serious position. Yes, a lot of TSA agents take their job seriously, but there are a lot of them that don't understand or care how important it is to do it correctly. When we went to Europe last year, a TSA agent couldn't get my DL to scan properly and kept getting an error. She told me it was okay and to just go ahead through because the line was long behind us. I told her no, dug in my bags for my passport (this was a domestic leg so didn't require passport yet) and gave that to her. It scanned fine and then we went through. I wasn't even trying to scam the system and was basically passed through.
I agree that it is highly likely that she has done this multiple times. She probably shops around different agents until she gets one that is sympathetic to her sob story of not having an ID.

When I checked my bags, the airline actually only asked for my ID as well. I asked if they wanted my boarding pass which was on the App on my phone and she said no, it’s faster to find you with an ID. Everyone in there had everything on them searched, scanned, and rifled through TWICE but she can just say no, in the secure zone! I guarantee the reason she doesn’t want them looking in her wallet or bag is because they would know who she really was. Every one of them should’ve been fired!

The ONLY one who could've searched her bag, at that point, is the police officer, which is why they called the police in on it. She still has the right to deny his request to search her bag, based on the fact that TSA just searched to make sure there was no contraband that shouldn't be allowed on the flight. They don't check for anything else, like no ID... but she should have presented valid ID, a REAL ID (the one with the gold star on it, which is now required for anyone to board a plane, today) as well as the boarding pass, to get through that security checkpoint. Someone at the checkpoint failed.
