It broke my heart a little when Asami said she was told she was too small to continue ballet, after studying it for 16 years, but how lucky we are that she went this direction instead! That middle section is one of the most beautiful performances I have seen, and you'd never expect to see ballet performed in the middle of a metal song. It really is quite the thing. @@RynnoReacts Yeah, the show was cancelled and delayed to March 26th and could be realized under heavy restrictions, but then Miyako was already 4 or 5 months into her pregnancy. One more show a week later was the last one with Miho before leaving the band 4.5 months later. My calculator tells me, that must have been around the time that Miyako gave birth... Asami followed a while later!

"A Frozen Serenade" is one of those rare pieces of modern music that are devilishly complex musically and extremely well composed emotionally, hitting all the targets as they go, to create the atmosphere and impact that was intended. This is just difficult to process, leave alone play, from the first notes, introducing the groove quite unusual for LOVEBITES, where the rhythm goes kind of counter-intuitive against the guitar lines, while the guitars make their own way soloing even to the last beats of the coda. I lack the facility in technical terms to adequately describe the exquisite drumming keeping all cues in hand, directing the whole mayhem, and the prominent bass which rides gloriously together with the leads for the final third of the song, like it was a rhythm guitar! And all this subordinated to the creation of a sound picture bleak, cold (the way those guitars drop into minor during the verses, chills activated!) and reassuring at the same time... Asami making sure you feel every bit of that emotion of a sad ballad rising into a blizzard through which there shines but a faint hope of spring. The "ballet" interlude in the middle is musically the most simple part probably, while being the "warmest" and most strikingly beautiful - wherein lies its genius. The well thought-out visuals just enhance the overall impression of a great work of art. 😍
After dozens of times re-listening to, and re-watching, this, it has never yet failed to move me, if not one moment, then another: unexpected timbre, or harmony, or visual angle. How do real people accomplish such unreal things?.. ❤🔥They (people AND things 😄) are a great gift.

Really is a masterpiece. So well written & performed. The riff is fantastic. Midori on acoustic is awesome and Miyako on piano then jumping back up to shred (while 4-5 months pregnant) is just musically badass.

Thanks for the reaction bro, my favourite band, there is a documentary of them getting ready to do a concert , it's one of the concerts you have reacted too, the documentary starts at them arriving at the venue, then spends the entire day with them while they get ready to rock, like sound checks and lightning etc, after watching this doco you will understand why they excel in every thing they do on stage it's worth you doing a reaction too, that's if you want to understand why they are so good, it shows all the girls in real life with out makeup, concert dresses, just five beautiful ordinary ladies, thanks Tim from Australia 🦘
