    I picked up the HF version of this jack. Which looks exactly identical to this one aside from the color scheme, black handle pieces, reseal kit, and coming standard with the 1/4 air fitting. Got it when it was on sale. You kinda don’t want to crank down on the valve knob. It’ll wallow out the seal. Snug is enough.
    The older silver Pittsburg wasn’t the best. The hose would crumble and the main seals would leak. The newer red version that came out this year definitely looks and operates better.

    So far, not very happy with mine. Just installed mine in a Harbor Freight 20-ton shop press, as a replacement for the 20-ton manual jack that comes with it. The air swivel fitting that is screwed into the cap of the air motor was cross-threaded. I was able to re-thread it correctly, but it will not lift past a couple inches, although the manual lever works fine. And yes I bleed the air and filled with hydraulic fluid to the bottom of the hole.

    • @RCInsiders
      @RCInsiders  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Max,
      If you bled it & filled the hyd oil, I'm not sure the issue.
      Where did you buy it from?

    • @hansjansen7047
      @hansjansen7047 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Mine works fine manually but not at all pneumatically. there must be an air pocket in the air part that has not escaped. I'm going to try cycling it so to air portion is down when on its side.

    • @bluemax229
      @bluemax229 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@hansjansen7047 You are in luck! I am going to tell you exactly how to make your jack work. You have the exact same problem I had. On the backside of the base there is a large Phillips head screw. Connect your air hose and squeeze the trigger. Keep it on. Unscrew the Phillips screw almost until it falls out. Then begin screwing it in slowly. As you get close to being tight, the cylinder will start to go up. You can tighten it the rest of the way. Your Jack has bled out the air that was causing the problem.

    Here in US, for most of us using 1/4", the standard is "M" style. The Milton Co. makes "color fit" fittings using colors to help ID the different styles. M is red, V is purple, A is green, T is blue. What came on the jack hose, is ????. It's from Communist CHINA. Look like yours works fine. I seen a lot of reviews of this jack with numerous problems, from cosmetic paint issues from shipping, needing to add oil, missing handle, to not working at all.
