It's nothing complicated, BOSS Sy-1 on first lead preset, variation 1 for normal and variation 2 for octave up sound, Depth on 50%, and Tone something like 55-60% just slightly right of center. More details in the comment below :)
Lead 1, variation 1 for normal and variation 2 for octave up sound, Depth on 50%, and Tone something like 55-60% just slightly right of center. If You want to have it clean without high overtones You have to use the neck pickup, preferably a humbucker (less overtones and brightness). I also use a compressor before it to tame the dynamic range of sound because it messes with the synth input, also set to high attack, and some tube screamer like overdrive after the compressor almost clean to fatten the signal, it makes SY-1 much more responsive, because normally it seems to act like it has a noise gate and needs big attack to not choke, like some fuzz pedals.
@@lucaszembrzuski Thank you very much Lucas! I got something very very close with my hx effects but was wandering buying the sy1 (and of course you have to place comp and overdrive before it) What about that Ibanez guitar? Can you have a decent jazz sound out of it?
@@robertorighetto8376 Yes, the Super 58 pickups on this one are very bright for some reason, it sounds almost like some Gretsch. Anyway if You set tone pot down to about 30% and volume pot to 75% (to tame the pick attack), You get a really nice Pat Metheny style sound, i also use a Wampler Ego Mini compressor set on half compression, full blend, brightness switch off, attack switch on, and unity volume. Also i was using an MXR EQ for a long time to tame the muddy lower mids and get some more 1.6khz sweetness but i discovered TC Tube Pilot pedal that does the same to the EQ but also makest the sound more alive and responsive, i set it to max volume and lowest gain possible to be at unity volume with it off. I record using strymon iridium, and it makes it sound even better and more like a real amp. I bet that it would do the same wonders in the effects loop of Helix or before it.
2:12 nice sounding light tremolo picking
Nice, brings memories of my adolescence, discovering the world and adventuring with friends.
Good job brother! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for uploading this. It's one of my favourite PMG song.
Fuck , this synth sounds like a dream 🥺😍

Hi, beautiful wotk! Can you tell me how did you set the boss sy-1 to get that sound? Thx

@@lucaszembrzuski super cool infos: thanks a lot!!
@@robertorighetto8376 no problem mate, im always glad to help :)
Sweet sound :) are you happy with the guitar?
Yes, very bright for a semi hollow, but fully manageable with volume and tone controls.
@@lucaszembrzuski thanks for the fast response! I also like the AR520H. How do you feel about the AMHs feedback?
@@Lalairu i don't know actually, i never play loud, and i mostly use it clean.
