Ok now that wall sconce with remote light blew my mind!! Those things are at least $30 already made in the store, not that $30 is a bad price, but wow!!
What is the point of the plaster candle holders once the candle has burned out it’s useless because the foil is permanently attached to the plaster tea candle holder I
I am a crafter, I knit, crochet, sew, paint, recycle in any way. But to be brutally honest, many of these "storage" ideas are less than decent looking. That would be acceptable if they ended up being cheap. But many of these ideas need multiple parts from DT. Several of them become much more expensive than buying a nice, streamlined storage gadget that is made of washable easy care materials. These rolling wood towers on kitchen counters can get splattered with oil, flour etc. Try to clean these flimsy wood containers clean - ain't gonna happen. Hence it is adviceble to calculate first the cost, then the time to make the item, it ends up being much more expensive.
@janetbaker3616 I can appreciate the attempts, but most of them are much more expensive than buying a nice, easy care containers. I ask myself always if the time needed to make an item is worth the time and money. During my time in college I used cardboard boxes cut in needed size. I bought self adhesive Contact plastic in rolls to cover the boxes in and out. They were easy to wipe clean with a wet sponge. Using just one style Contact paper made the boxes look uniform in the shelves. Some of them are STILL in use in my closets after 40 years! Off the topic, why are crafters adding to these home made "storage" solutions always some glued on bow, fabric flower etc? They fill them with kitchen items for counter use. Just think how often the counters need to be cleaned. Those bows etc are never being cleaned. Gross.
I really like the usefulness of these ideas! I don’t like things that just take up space.
